Please forgive my off topic comments. I've been visiting BradBlog for a couple of years now and thank you for all you do. I salute Cindy and her work as well. I ask, Why have the immigration protests been covered by the mainstream media so relentlessly and we saw so little coverage of the protests against the Iraq war? Maybe a rhetorical question but it has amazed me. I heard Brad on Stephanie Miller and it was great! And on Thom Hartman as well. Brad, I would love to give you some monetary support and when I get in a better financial position, I will. Let me say, it's much better to spend money on Brad than giving it to the mainstream media in the form of buying their newspapers etc... We get much better information from your site. I'm sorry I missed you on Peter B. Collins show. Thanks Brad for all you are doing!

The bad news --- you'll likely continue to see more coverage of those immigration protests because it's, by and large, a phony issue cooked up as a last ditch effort in an election year by the GOP. And when the GOP wants coverage of anything, the media is sure to follow. And so they have.

We don't play be Karl Rove's news agenda, however...We've got your news agenda...right here.

Notice, lots of CNN news stories are about murders??? Part of keeping us all "scared", eh??? NO stories about random murders on Democracy NOW! And lots of storied about diseases on CNN. Murders and disease. Where have I heard someone say before, that that is the difference between American corporate-controlled news and other countries news??? OH, yes!!! In "Bowling for Columbine"!!! Guess Michael Moore nailed it!!! Sensational? Yes. Important to all of us? Absolutely not!!! Doesn't affect us. Colin Powell admitting he knew there were no WMD's in Iraq (called lying), which was on Democracy NOW! yesterday, now THAT affects all of us!

Cheney is just the picture of altruism. Oh, except for being responsible for over 100,000 needless murders of civilians. The 8.6 million he donated (if he donated it, I'm not taking YOUR word for it), is about 1/100 of the money he profitted off the backs of the dead American soldiers in Iraq.

You are right about the corporate vs. independent news. I watch the independent programs that you listed but I tune in now and then to get a taste of what the average middle America viewer may be watching on CNN and MSNBC and it's frightening how little real news there is (reminds me of the movie Network). I try to let others know about those programs as well as the Stephie Miller, Thom Hartman, Ed Schyltz, and the rest of the Air America radio programs. Let's get out the message that there are alternatives --- like BradBlog!

When are you going to get over VP Cheney's accident? Are you a hunting safety expert? Or the opposite perhaps, since you ask about guns... Are you in the medical field?

Why don't we do this. Every time I see you type "shot a guy in the face", then I'll type:
"stuffed secret documents in his pants and was not prosecuted"
or
"raised campaign money from Buddist temple that had to be returned and temple leaders left the country quickly"
or
"lied to a federal grand jury and was not prosecuted but lost his law license"
or
"fired travel office employees for no good reason then hired her friends to replace them"
or
"claimed 'No controlling legal authority' on his fund-raising phone calls from the White House when a special prosecutor was requested by the Justice Dept., but then didn't happen"
or how about
