Along the lines of citizens speaking up for themselves, as we heard in the audio posted earlier today of University of Wisconsin students peppering NSA recruiters on campus with some very tough questions…Here’s a woman who was offering her thoughts to a Texas state legislative committee yesterday about their radical new anti-abortion bill they are trying to slam down Democrats’ and citizens’ throats.
The woman’s comments, apparently, became no longer to the liking of the committee chair at some point, and so she was ordered hauled away by the cops.
If they had to take such extreme measures to avoid hearing this woman offer her opinion for a couple of minutes, after she waited her turn in line to do so, as per the rules, I guess she must be worth listening to. So, here ya go…

The wingnut extremists on the Right, propagandized into believing centrist, constitutional policies supported by both the non-insane Right and Democrats for decades, spread disinformation about them in order to advocate against their own self-interests, because they are too stupid to realize it.
Seriously, dude. Whoever used to write under the name “Steve Snyder aka WingnutSteve” was much smarter than this jackass who does it now. The original WingnutSteve, who was a RWinger, but not a particular stupid one, would never have posted something like the new guy just did. That would only have served to make him look like a propagandized, hypnotized, desperate tool. The old guy was often demonstrably wrong, but he wasn’t an asshole. Whoever hired the new guy needs to be fired. The new guy is not nearly as effective as the old guy.
P.S. The old WingnutSteve, the one who used to pretend to give a shit about liberty, freedom and people’s rights, would have at least pretended to be outraged by cops hauling away someone doing little more than expressing their First Amendment rights in an orderly, legal manner, in an official state legislature. That is a great video. Almost looked like something out of the British Parliament, but American politicians aren’t used to being criticized, and it just terrorizes them to not be controlling the message.

Most reasonable people support tighter gun regulations as long as it doesn’t take away the constitutional right of such reasonable people to own the gun, I’m amongst them. That is a moderate view.
Most reasonable people support a woman’s right to choose when it comes to abortion, I’m amongst them. That is a moderate view.
Most reasonable people support tight regulations on late term/partial birth abortion unless absolutely necessary. That is a moderate view.
There’s nothing extremist about my views in any way. You can repeat the left wing nut case talking points you’ve been told to say but they ring as hollow as your sense of moral values at cheer leading such a brutally horrific procedure. You sir are the radical, not the Texas bill.

I was an optician for over 30 years. My job was to fabricate eyeglasses using prescriptions provided by either an ophthalmologist or an optometrist.
Although Ophthalmologists need a degree in education to start a practice, they have NO BUSINESS telling a woman or her doctor what they can do with their practice or body.
It’s pretty stunning that an ophthalmologist was allowed in the discussion as some kind of expert.

I seem to remember a similar situation a few years back where somebody claimed to be a expert in a field that had nothing to do with his. I think some of these bastards hope the public won’t notice when they slip stuff like that in, and they’re probably right, but it’s a very smelly tactic.
