We Interrupt Our 10th Anniversary Celebration…

Share article:

…Because after I posted about BRAD BLOG’s milestone, and headed to Disneyland on Sunday with family to cash in some free tickets a friend had given us a year or so ago, I returned to wake in the middle of the night with some kind of horrific food poisoning. I mean, violently so. So if you might be wondering what happened to me since announcing our 10th Anniversary, that’s it. Have dragged myself up out of bed just long enough to say so. No idea when this passes for good. Hopefully in time for tomorrow’s GNR? Tomorrow night’s SOTU? Wednesday’s BradCast? Dunno, but there you go. Back to bed.

For the record, I don’t know that I’ve ever even had food poisoning until now. And, FYI, I don’t care for it one bit…

Most food poisoning passes relatively quickly. Hopefully you will feel better tomorrow. We’ve been seeing lots of viral gastroenteritis recently in my pediatric practice so it’s also possible you picked up a bug from one of the thousands you were exposed to at D’land. Anyway, get well soon and congrats on your 10th anniversary! I started following you part way through that first year. Hard to believe it’s been that long.

    Brad,

Hope you’re feeling better soon! I’ve had food poisoning about 4 times in my life — no fun at all. Recently my husband was suddenly and violently ill and we thought it was food poisoning. However, the symptoms and the timing didn’t quite fit, and although the spasms passed quickly, he was wrung out for a couple days. Now we’re thinking it was a nasty virus.

FWIW, I’m a great believer in acidophilus tablets or capsules for any stomach/intestinal ailment. Can’t hurt and it could make a difference.

Anyway, best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Oh MAN! I am so sorry, Brad! I know from experience that it is no fun at all! Have a swift recovery, my friend!
