This is not "testiimony to Congress" that Clint & Bev will be doing.
It is nothing more than a forum with an ousted Congressmen with zero budget and subpeona power. No different than say a town hall meeting with an ex-Congressman.
It means nothing. There will be no major media there. This forum could be held in a broom closet for the number of people that will attend.
Sorry to bust your bubble, but then again, that is why I am here, right?

I think we're being hoodwinked. The real story is NEE.
If you're following this story, and the "Nee" connection doesn't freak you out, you must be an operative. How does this guy get off with a $100 fine?
Even you Attorney Jim, if you have any sense of loyalty to this country, why doesn't treason bug you?
I'm starting to wonder if Feeney and Yang aren't happy to have this Curtis thing blowing smoke away from the possible "TREASON" they perpetrated with NEE. Certainly, the vote fixing crime does not hold the same punishment as TREASON, which is punishable by death.
Is NEE central to this whole thing? Yang nurtured NEE, Feeney nurtured Yang...
NEE plead guilty, .....$100 fine. Since when does treason get a slap on the wrists.
Something is rotten in Denmark. Don't lose focus on NEE.
"WE are the knights who say NEE!"

Bob Bislme says "Poll number have indicated that 20% believe there is manipulation and fraud in the vote." Yup, and poll numbers also show that 25% of people believe in the Loch Ness Monster, 37% believe their cars have muffler belts, and 19% of America would cover their phones with a bag if somebody called them and said "This is the phone company, we are blowing out the lines and look out for dust".

Why is NEE helping the Communist Chinese with treasonous crimes against our military?
THIS IS THE REAL STORY!
C'mon Jim. You believe in the USA right? You want to make sure we're protected form enemies right?
You want our boys to be kept safe from foriegn enemies don't you? NEE stole technology while at YANG and fed it to the Red Chinese.
This doesn't bother you Jim?
C'mon man, show us that the dissenting voice of Brad Blog isn't just some snotty brat. Show us you're capabale of of a genuine discourse. Anytime a potential enemy of our soldiers receives technology that "we the people" paid to develop to keep our country and our boys safe, I would think the REPUBLICAN party would want to see such a
PERPATRAITOR led away in handcuffs to GTMO, but NEE just gets a suspended sentence and a $100 fine. One day our boys may find themsevles on the receiving end of this technology.
"The official sentencing documents, however, reveal that Judge Presnell sentenced Nee to be released under a 3-year supervised probation and a $100 fine to be paid immediately...."
Our soldiers .... have been put in danger by NEE.
"The chips are part of a radar-frequency guidance system for fourth-generation Hellfire anti-tank missiles aboard U.S. Army Apache attack and Comanche armed reconnaissance helicopters, according to the missiles' published specifications.
The radar guidance system works in bad weather conditions better than an earlier laser-guided version, according to an evaluation by the FAS Military Analysis Network."
C'mon Jim... there's no concpisracy "theory" on this. NEE plead guilty. Do you think he should be in jail?
Let's have a real discourse instead of acting like children.

Good God! I just saw the video you linked here.
If you throw out EVERYTHING else (Tom Feeney, YEI, Clint Curtis, Florida, New Mexico, Olbermann, EVERYTHING!), this film alone makes it clear what is really happening!
If this is "Area 51", the "aliens" are, indeed, here! The question is not that this is real. IT IS! The question is: Can you get the information to the vast majority of the public?
Poll number have indicated that 20% believe there is manipulation and fraud in the vote. That number will, doubtless, jump greatly, if the info can get to all the people who are blissfully being kept in-the-dark about all of this.
This video shouldn't be on your blog. It should be on every major news station WORLDWIDE! The fact that the media is sweeping this under the rug is a scandal that is equal to the fraud itself!

To all of you commenting that Nee is the story and not Feeney, STOP IT. Your acting as if China isn't already a big military power. If the U.S. goes to war with China EVERYBODY loses. Like I've said before, Fox Newslike red herring issues only work with docile cable news viewers. The real issue should stand, vote fraud. We all lose if that's the case. Clinton lost the 2000 election for Gore not because of Monica, but because he alienated the left wing of the party. They made their votes count. In 2004, there were a record number of Republicans endorsing the Democratic Presidential candidate, including Bush's own hometown newspaper (Crawford, TX). Their votes didn't matter because of "glitches" in the computer and now we have power hungry madmen in office killing civilians for oil in our name. Exit polls are never wrong and it proved that Kerry won. If we don't have transparency in our votes, then there is no real election. All we have is a few key people anointing Kings and Generals for us.
VOTE FRAUD IS THE BIG ISSUE.

With all due respect to the good Horkus, I think you may be dismissing a big piece of the puzzle.
NEE KNIGHT is right in that the Nee part of the puzzle (and the espionage to the Peoples Republic of China) is a huge part of this story.
The Vote-Rigging aspect happens to be particularly sexy at the moment, and is indeed also a crucial part.
I don't see any particular advantage to denigrating one part of the story over another. Both pieces (and several others) all combine to lead to the BIG PICTURE.
It is that picture that folks like myself (and the *many* other folks currently investigating this --- though perhaps not as loudly and publicly as I) are ultimately keeping our eyes on.
Reporting one facet of the story today, and another facet tomorrow does not mean that *anybody* is taking their eyes off the big picture.
Never fear...But do continue to make lots of noise.

seems to me that none of this contesting/challenging/etc will acocmplish anything. We should be putting all of our efforts into reforming the system so that it is immune to such suppression tactics in future election. As for me, I'm spending all Election Day 2008 calling in bomb threats to polling locations in Republican neighborhoods.

The "disturbing film" Brad mentioned and which Bob Bilse says is a show stopper must get to Conyers and also senators ...
if it has not already ...
and it should be shown in the Ohio lawsuits ... do their lawyers know yet ...
Kerry did an interview and does not mention anything about challenges or Ohio problems ...
Kerry or Edwards need to step up too ...

Brad points out that the NEE story is also a link in the chain. Horkus seemed afraid we were forgetting it and/or it needs not to move up towards the top or be the top.
This is a chess-game at this point and all the pieces are important ... and remember that a pawn can be used to set up check mate ...
It gives a grip to the story as well ... people will deeply wonder why a spy who admitted to doing it at least 20 times was not punished.
People will see that the NEE story does not fit in with "we take all allegations seriously" as the investigative authorities have stated.
It lends valid grounds for further suspicion as well, because it is a partner in the notion "If this company will harbor and cover up for communist spies, why would they not cover up a for a 'mere' vote fraud advocator?" (especially one who is providing so well for them) ...

Airport and airline security has long been serious business, but since the terrorist attacks in New York and Washington D.C. on Sept. 11, 2001, airport security is extremely tight and JOKES ARE TAKEN VERY SERIOUSLY.
Getting through security can be tense and frustrating, and it is natural to try to relieve tensions with a joke. But resist the urge no matter what happens because an innocent joke or casual comment about a weapon or hijacking could cause you a lot of trouble.
A British man was sentenced to three months in jail in Australia after he boarded a plane while drunk, sprayed an aerosol in the cabin and jokingly told his companion that he would hijack the plane with his knife.
A passenger checking in to board a plane in Houston joked that he had a nuclear bomb. He was arrested, interrogated and jailed.
An Air France pilot was arrested in New York in August 2003 for allegedly joking during a lengthy security check that he had a bomb in his shoe.
The FBI says penalties for making false threats about weapons on airplanes could range from a few months if you’re charged with a Class A misdemeanor to a maximum of ten years for a felony involving severely impeded air traffic.
please read this article
Under the current security laws the BRAD BLOG could be seized and shut down. All they need is the most flimsy of excuses. It has already been done many times.
And it would be against the law (a felony) for Brad to inform us it had happened under those laws.
You say you were kidding, but are you a kid? They have put people is jail FOR LESS than you did.
I hope it will be scrubbed even tho a joke. I did not take it as serious, just not smart enough.

Jokes are things that get people thrown in jail ... if they do not qualify as humor.
I guess in fact they are not "jokes" after all.
If someone yells "fire" in a theatre they are liable and will go to jail. The defense of "I was joking" is not a legal defense to such a crime. The response to such an act is "It was such a bad 'joke' it was a crime".
If someone says "I am going to call up so and so and make a bomb threat" the term "I was only joking" only lends fire to the flames ... it offers no redeeming content.
What you get when you do that is "Oh, not only are you going to do some time, you are also not the brightest bulb in the chandelier".
In short, it is not a legal defense. For example, in my earlier post I pointed out:
A passenger checking in to board a plane in Houston *JOKED* that he had a nuclear bomb. He was arrested, interrogated and jailed.
An Air France pilot was arrested in New York in August 2003 for allegedly *JOKING* during a lengthy security check that he had a bomb in his shoe.
So, the issue is, when someone *JOKED* that they were "going to do bomb threats at polling places", does the fact that THEY thought it was funny, make it funny for everyone else ... including the FBI?
I do not think so.

For what it's worth, this is neither an airport or a polling place.
I took Amir's comments as satire when I read them originally, and his followup comments seem to have made that even more clear.
As well, for an additional "whatever it's worth", I happen to know Amir personally, and recognize that he is anything but the sort of person who would actually *do* such a thing.
If we don't use at least a *bit* of common sense in determining what is a real threat, and what is either satire, or said simply to make a point, then I think we'd really be lost. (And such great films like "The Pope Must Die" could never have been made at all!)
All of that said, I did point Amir via Email to this item which does show that threats via Blogs (though the original threat has been deleted in this case, so we don't know if it's anywhere near as clearly-satirical as Amir's) can and do get attention from "authorities".
Beyond that, we don't control Amir and neither would we want to He is capable of defending his statements --- or not --- as he sees fit.

Didn't say it was. This issue is "can something be said here that would lead to the same results as if it were?"
Your kindness to Amir by emailing him an example of the reality that a SS, CIA, or FBI agent might now have some part in his life is appreciated.
That was my drift as well.
But also to protect this good BLOG. Note that the blogger you called Amir's attention to changed his BLOG rules to:
If you make a comment in my journal that could in any way be misconstrued as a threat against any high-ranking official, I will have to delete it. It's nothing personal. It's just self-protection.
You said that "his [Amir's] followup comments seem to have made that even more clear". If you read it carefully he said "I was joking, mostly". But yeah, he did move away from that more.
Everyone should realize that every word of every post is monitored ... by the authorities. You better believe it!
As one who has been imprisoned in a federal joint for political beliefs, and who has escaped attempts inside that joint by officials to take me out (lotsa blood, lotsa blood) ... and who has led a good, long life since ... I tend to place a certain reality into the mix of my thoughts about what we are facing.
Only because, like the BLOGGER who now has a lifetime of observance to "look forward to", I have lived it.
It ain't no play pretend video game folks. But just because it is dangerous does not make it something to give up. Our struggle is a good one.
