I was dictationist transcribing Nixon tapes Bradlee would sit on my desk and rip pages from my platen as I finished them, marked them with grease pencil, ran them personally to copy desk and plopped on my desk only to rip the next page a few seconds later. He was such a joy to work for, boundless enthusiasm always.

Such a fine newspaper man. I am so grateful for his courage and intelligence in helping this country understand what was going on in it’s Nation’s Capitol. Bravo!
I lived in D.C. and I loved him.
