Many of the principles that start war back then are the same principles that start war now.

What is really always around the corner for them is another lie and coverup.
I like that in the background of the comic, the wall paper pattern appears to be a maze. No wonder we see to keep turning corners and getting nowhere.

Good eyes there.
There is a house around the corner from me that has a big homemade sign in the yard out by the road that the occupant put up right before the election. On it are listed the current American military and Iraqi civilian deaths, as well as American wounded. Across the top in big letters is this, "What is Mi$$ion Accomplished?". I see it at least 4 times a day and it reminds me four times a day that there ain’t no fuckin corner to be turned here. It also reminds me four times a day how much I really need to get myself over there and introduce myself.
My town is largely conservative, and it’s good to know that right around the *corner* is someone who see’s it the way I do. The only corners that matter to me are the ones we all need to keep turning in order to find, and reachout to, those of like mind who when gathered together will form the force needed to wrest back our country.

Every few weeks or so we’d get this big "WE FOUND WMD!!" message from the msm, headlines, big news, BUSH WAS RIGHT!! The political forum at my old discussion board would fill up with posts from gloating conservatives saying, "I told you so!"
Then a week or so later we’d get a small article buried deep within the rest of the spin, essentially saying, "Whoops, nevermind"
I don’t hear much from those people anymore – wonder why?

The MSM is being hit with a ton of stories. While our suspicions that this would happen as a cover-up are well founded (e.g. Bush tape leak), this story is a stand-alone knock out that is bigger.

The very quiet effort under foot to have all draft boards fully staffed by next month and the entire Selective Service System (DRAFT) ready to roll by June 2005 certainly ties into the Ritter claim that there are June plans to bomb. Furthermore, I do recall the New Years weekend story that Iran was going to be George Bush’s second term priority.
The creation of another national tragedy will further support this effort and lead to war cry propaganda for an invasion. There’s always the CIA black ops domestic attack and plant it on someone other than us scenario. And one tragedy scenario we had previously discussed was Iran’s Russian made anti-ship missiles launched to sink one or more US naval vessels, causing potential casualties in the thousands.
I would consider an Iran attack national suicide, but then again we have no idea what is being planned for us in America’s corporate/government board rooms? The motivation for US control of Afghanistan, Iran, and Iraq would be full regional control of most of the world’s known oil and gas reserves, including total military control of the Persian Gulf region. Where, of course, permanent military presence will be used as the bully threat over all Middle Eastern nations to protect US global energy and economic dominance.
Closer Russian ties with Iran and China’s not really in a rush pressure on North Korea all smacks of global positioning for the great energy con game. What this will all escalate into is anybodys guess, but global thermonuclear war is always an "option", isn’t that right Mr. President?
So while George DUMBYA Bush spins his freedom and democracy mystery tour, let us remember the importance of free and democratic oil and gas, or was that suppose to be people? Iraqi election fixed to prevent a pro-Iranian Shiite majority win…you bet your Ohio voting machine!
So who is going to help Georgie invade? Tony Blair with a re-election coming up? I don’t think so! Any other suckers? I’m sure there will be a few. I don’t believe the US has the ability to risk the strategy of any kind of military action. However, that’s based on an assumption that we are governed by sane people in Washington, of which there are very few remaining.

I love you but you scare me!
The plans for Iran have been in place for a long time, just like Iraq was. But then one source of mine said that Syria would be first.
At any rate, there is some indication that the plans might be derailed. And they might just be calling each other’s bluff.
What I thought might happen is some precision air strikes.
If **sh’s bottom line is control of mid-east oil, then I believe he will go forward with attacks on Iran regardless of how many allies and/or troops he has. They’re strategy began to be clear to me once Syria’s former Prime Minister was assasinated, which I think was orchestrated by them. The result of this killing is that now the Lebanese people, in their anger, are calling for the removal of Syrian troops and for the Syrian backed Lebanese govmt to step down. This gives **sh the opportunity to publically and loudly call for Syria to get out, and he sure has been running his mouth on this for over a week now. This all fits his agenda for liberating the Lebanese from a rogue govmt, re-asserting his belief that Syria is a terrorist supporting state, (Hezbollah) and achieves the removal of one of Israel’s enemies from it’s northern border.
I think what is going to happen here is that Israel is going to make the first attacks on Iran, and possibly the Syrians in Lebanon and Syria itself with the justification being Israeli self preservation (pre-emptive strikes). Iran and Syria aren’t going to just sit back and do nothing. They will strike back at Israel, *forcing* the U.S. to come to Israel’s defense, and off we go. Next up….the draft.
They’ve been planning this shit for a long time and we should know by now that **sh and the cons will stop at nothing to manufacture any reason the can to dupe the American people into supporting them.
I haven’t figured out how Pakistan fits in yet, but I’m sure they have a plan to bring them down too. The biggest danger here is, I think, Russia and China. China is more and more becoming a huge consumer of oil, and I doubt if they will sit idly by while the U.S. attempts to control the vast majority of the worlds oil, and Russia sure as hell isn’t going to tolerate the U.S. creeping right up to their southern borders, and their own oil supplies. They’ve been patient so far with **sh but as Putin’s recent attempts at consolidation of power shows, and the new tension between **sh and Putin grows, Russia seems to be preparing itself for some kind of confrontation with the U.S. Russia’s support of and selling of nuclear materials to Iran alone foretells a clash. I think Putin has seen this coming all along, he was just playing nice in order to lull **sh into a sense of security. **sh says he looked into Pooty-Poots soul, but he was being played all along.
As far as getting the American people behind this goes, if all these forces at play now actually come to a giant clash…..then I believe our predicament will become a matter of national survival and at that point, we won’t have much choice but to fight regardless of what the initial cause was.
These coming months will be a CRITICAL time in the history of our country. **sh will either be thwarted or we are all in for some mindnumbingly dark times.

I have read stories that indicate the recruiting quotas are not being met by the volunteer mechanism. The propaganda is failing.
