If the plaintiff's lawyers (not Blackwell's) have any sense they will cross move for concurrent depositions.
The federal courts have full and complete authority to order Blackwell to appear for a deposition on pain of being held in contempt of court and then be put in jail.
It is common for concurrent depositions to take place as an effort in efficiency.

From what I can tell, and from what a Congressional source just told me, this is absolutely the dumbest thing Blackwell could do!
Should be fun!

Praise God! If there was any chance the election dispute would fade into the woodwork, Blackwell has made sure that it won't. He's a bigger imbecile even than most of us had imagined, but God is in his universe and things are right with the world.
I don't suppose it's necessary to point out that Kerry and Edwards had absolutely nothing to do with the recount contest or the Conyers hearings. Everything that has taken place occurred not because, but in spite of them. This is just to wonderful to put into words. Hallelujah!

I hope that the low profile of Kerry/Edwards to date has been strategic and that they are willing to fight long and hard; I hope that their joining the lawsuit is not for appearances only. We shall see if they have backbones or not. It's not about Kerry/Edwards - it's about America. I hope they realize this and their big egos don't blind them to this fact.

Well then this must be the second dumbest thing Blackwell did.The Ohio Attorney Gens. attempt at sanctioning the lawyers who brought the election challenge allowed those lawyers to put into the record, everything they had gathered, documenting all that had gone on, on Nov. 2nd and during the manipulated recount.
This numbskull is his own worst enemy, it's amazing he can still walk considering all the times he's shot himself in the foot.

Let me see if I understand this. Kerry and Edwards shouldn't be part of the suit, even though it challenges an election in which they were they aggrieved parties, and though they would become president and vice-president if the Ohio vote were somehow overturned legally (subject to certain Constitutional caveats, no doubt).
Blackwell, who ran the entire show in Ohio, wants to depose Kerry and Edwards, who distanced themselves from the whole process on Nov. 3, before most of the complaints had been lodged.
Only in America, which professes to preach to the Ukraine about how to run its elections. The consummate gall of Republican officials admits to no identifiable boundaries.

Kerry and Edwards do realize this: "it's about America".
I'll repeat, Kerry didn't want to do the wrong thing and waste energy by getting involved in the recount, etc. He is savvy and knows how these things go.
One of my sources said that the Black Caucus requested his absence at the election hearing. It was a huge black issue, and they want to correct it.
Kerry has ambition, but he also has good sense, and humility when required. And he cares about people.
If anyone is willing to fight long and hard, it is John Kerry. Look how he has remained strong and forward moving after what they did to him in the campaign. He always continues on his path. He is kicking off a grass roots organization on March 7 called, "Keeping America's Promise." He always has a message of hope.
A lot of this is a personal vendetta with these neocons, after what Kerry did to them in the Iran Contra, BCCI days.
The game is not over.

Good article by Joshua Frank at antiwar.com. March 19 is the second anniversary of the invasion of Iraq. Millions of protesters around the world will be taking to the streets - but there will be virtual silence in America. In this instance, Kerry and the Demos. are supporting DUMYA in Iraq and want to sent even more troops and more money. I think it's too late. You cannot carry out such evil and destruction, and then decide you will "FIX" it. It's too late. Get out of Iraq. Mr. Frank also advises Nader has a new web site democracyrising.us. Nader wants the troops home now.

Blackwell, thank you for being so stupid.
Now if only Gannon will hurry up and sue "the bloggers", we can get some discovery powers and begin depositioning Ari, Scotty, and on up the food chain.

Thanks for swinging that bat and hitting a line drive! John Kerry and John Edwards are two decent, caring men with a lot of street smarts. They've both been up against gangsters and corporate muggers in their legal lives and both have been very successful.
Keep your fingers crossed and your eyes on home plate.

Ive pretty much given up hope for the plant that Bush would be removed from office and President Kerry would take his rightful place, so Im hesitant to get my hopes up over this. Edwards is bilderberger and Kerry is skull and bones. So I wonder what difference it really makes.
Here's to hoping though.

I live in Ohio, and do not care for Mr. Blackwell who has many political ambitions. I, for one, would be delighted if the truth came to light about our elections here. Still thinking the the Repubs really are very adept at both scaring people, and stealing elections.

Let's trade depositions, shall we? We'll give you Kerry, you give us Blackwell. We'll give you Edwards, and you give us ... and so on and so forth.

Nothing beats a high profile court battle.
Blackwell has overstepped and bush might have to put the whole thing in the National Security file to keep it out of reach of the prying eyes of our ever vigilant Media.
Quick Zell! To horse, to horse 'They' are at the Gate!

This just in:
A man walked into a bar with his alligator and asked the bartender, "Do you serve Republicans here?".
"Sure do," replied the bartender.
"Good," said the man. "I'll have a beer, and give me a Republican for my 'gator."
