So much for that quaint old “Rule of Law” thing that Republicans used to care about (when they were out of power). Dirty, dirty, dirty boys. RAW STORY once again has the scoop on the rope pulling down Tom DeLay and now more and more of his friends with him.
We get the feeling this thing is just beginning…
That said, DeLay and friends are attempting to defend the fortress by cooking the rules in the House Ethics Committee. They’ve gone so far as to attempt to change the rule requiring that a congressman must “…conduct himself at all times in a manner which shall reflect creditably on the House of Representatives.” Of course they have.
Dems on the Ethics Committee are, so far, standing tough. But support from the people is paramount! Send an email to demand that legislators don’t gut the House Ethics Rules!
UPDATE: Jesse Lee, the blogger of The Stakeholder is helping to up the ante on DeLay’s plans for decapitating the ethics rules in order to keep himself out of trouble! See his post at DailyKos right away for more info!

Yeeee-haaaaa!
My flesh is crawling…
Just sent an e-mail to the Ethics Committee. Everyone should do the same. Let’s get that bastard DeLay!
How wide can these scandals get???
re #4: there doesn’t seem to be a limit, does there?
about time
To flay, to flay, sick Tom DeLay, would more than once just make my day!
It’s not good enough if he has to step down. He must go to prison or it is not enough.
That scum sucking, bottom feeding, lying, thieving, cheating piece of human waste is receiving some justice! Let this be a portend.
Don’t forget this weekend is the second anniversary of the illegal invasion of Iraq! FOUR HUNDRED WORLD TRADE CENTRES and the complete devastation of the US reputation in the world! Do your part and let these scum sucking, bottom feeding, lying, thieving, cheating pieces of human waste know of your objection!
here’s more on Delay’s TRMPAC
AS courtroom dramas go, the first of what may be several trials relating to the alleged Great Election Robbery by the infamous DeLay Gang was definitely a dud.
It was a trial of a civil lawsuit by five former Democratic legislators who believed the DeLay Gang, in the form of the Texans for a Republican Majority Political Action Committee (TRMPAC), stole their seats in 2002 by trampling all over Texas laws.
Held in Austin over four days a week ago, it lost its luster when two of the three defendants were indicted on related charges. Rather than hold up the civil trial until the criminal niceties were completed, the Democrats decided to go ahead without them.
…
Article goes on to layout what was discovered in the trial. Can you say money laundering? I knew you could.

My family and I are going to a Peace vigil this weekend to mark this tragic anniversary in a small town nearby. It’s hard to believe that two years have already passed. I remember hearing, just before the invasion began, soldiers asking how long they would need to be there, and Rumsfeld aswered, "the road home goes thru Baghdad". Well………
I really believe that the majority of the soldiers, marines, and especially the guard and reserves, are just as much victims of this war as any others are.
If you want to have your skin crawl a bit more, listen to the blogcall3 thing we did about this guy and his bunch.

Poster detailing the crimes of "Hot Tub Tom" DeLay!
The AgitProps direct-distributed media project offers downloadable posters for people to print out and distribute on their own.
http://agitprops.org
I encourage folks to print them out on a color printer at work if possible, but the posters look good in monochrome as well.
The idea behind AgitProps is for people all over the country to pint out a stack of posters and post them all over their area — even putting them on cars in the parking lots of big box stores. If we spread the word about AgitProps widely enough, we can take our country back one Wal-Mart parking lot at a time!
