The final CNN comment, by Wolf & whoever, should read, "...and we're sorry we even reported anything on this subject, or anything about the Iraq War which is past day 1,000 and counting, and we won't do it again. We'll now turn our attention back to the Michael Jackson acquittal and day 22 of the missing Aruba teen as our top stories..."
PLEASE Don't miss this MAJOR NEWS STORY from MSNBC:

No wonder politicians get away with so much when they're beaten to the post by that.

Pretty cool link, WP - sounds like a guy I'd much rather have living next door than Dick Cheney or Karl Rove, say... One man's butcher is another's leader, I suppose

Problem with MOST of the morons in the U.S. is, they, much like those back in the 70s, just want "things to go along smoothly".. Only now, we have the Media passed out at the wheel (well, drugged and knocked uncounsious by the corperate world that is getting rich on -this- scam.. they didn't have their pockets getting filled in the 70s by Watergate).
Politics has become taboo. Politics at work (with MORE power-hungry dipshits in charge) prevent discussions there lest you offend someone and lose your job.. Politics in a bar is.. well, duh.. no point in trying to make sense to a drunk.. Politics at church pretty much goes only one way .. "That President.. good god fearing man, he is... must be doing the right thing". Where else is there to socialize and discuss things? No one is getting the info they -need- from the Media.. so we're left to stumble around in the dark until "the smoking gun of a mushroom cloud" (in some context) lights up the night sky.. /sigh
Sorry.. do I sound bitter and defeated? If so, that's just because every day I see more and more total idiots allowed to walk around and breed.. makes me sick and sad and angry.. blah blah..
Better get back to work before my job is targeted to be out-sourced to some 3rd world (or equivalant) country.. God knows it's only the "bottom line" that matters and not helping keep the country that allows the business to thrive with the protection of the military, taxes, and laws.. Us "citizens" only matter if we're gonna take a pay cut, or go die in some illegal war under the premise of "freedom"..

re: Watergate comparison:
First you have to assume that Nixon deserved to be impeached for having knowledge of a break in that was attempting to get inside information on a Democrat call girl ring.
Many in America, indeed maybe more than a majority, feel that Nixon never should have resigned and that had the Congress been more of a level playing field; Nixon would have ignored Watergate and said "On with your house of cards impeachment"!
Nixon was one of our greatest Presidents and Watergate was nothing; but two no nothing cub reporters got a big break when a ticked off FBI employee that had been passed over for a promotion broke the FBI code of ethics. Of course what goes around comes around, and Mr. Felt was convicted a few years later for doing precisely the same thing.
Kennedy would have been impeached had the Congress been Republican.
LBJ would have been impeached had the Congress been Republican.
There is NO big story to a Democrat Congress impeaching Nixon, just like you whiners think ought to be done to Bush now.

Jimmo, a recess appointment will be politically damaging for Bush. It is a sign of weakness that he cannot control his caucus. If Bolton does get through in the end, he will be irrelevant, because he has been exposed as a hack. It will make the U.S. even more of an international laughingstock.

WHAT I FIND PARTICULARLY OFFENSIVE IS THE FACT THAT REP. CONYERS DISTRICT IN MICHIGAN IS THE ONLY DISTRICT IN AMERICA THAT THE ISLAMIC FUNDAMENTALISTS ARE ALLOWED THEIR DISRUPTIVE CALLS TO PRAYER OVER LOUDSPEAKERS.
MR. CONYERS FAKE HEARINGS IN WHICH ANTI SEMITIC LITERATURE AND ANTI SEMITIC STATEMENTS WERE DISTRIBUTED AND MADE UNCHALLENGED BY MR CONYERS DEMONSTRATES TO ANYBODY WITH AN OUNCE OF JEWISH BLOOD IN HIM THAT MR. CONYERS HAS NO ALLEGIANCE TO ANYONE OF THE JEWISH ANCESTRY.
HMM, I THINK THAT INCLUDES YOU AND ME BRADDO FRIEDMAN!
YOU ARE HELPING A MAN WHO IS HELPING THE FUNDAMENTALISTS DESTROY ISRAEL. WHY DO YOU HATE YOUR RELIGION?

ADAM: SO A RECESS APPOINTMENT IS A SIGN OF WEAKNESS FOR BUSH? ONLY IN YOUR WORLD. YOU HAVE A FEW DOZEN OBSTRUCTIONISTS DEMOCRATS THAT REFUSE TO ALLOW AN UP OR DOWN VOTE ON BOLTON.
EVERY TIME THE WHITE HOUSE SUPPLIES INFORMATION THEY REQUEST; THEY RAISE THE BAR AND REQUEST MORE INFORMATION.
DASCHEL LOST HIS SOUTH DAKOTA SENATE SEAT FOR BEING AN OBSTRUCTIONIST. THIS IS HURTING ONLY YOUR PARTY.
ADAM: GROW UP: BOSSES IN COMPANIES SELDOM IF EVER WIN "POPULARITY CONTESTS". THEY HAVE A JOB TO DO. BUSH WAS ELECTED ON A PLATFORM OF WHAT HE WOULD DO. HE IS DOING IT. NOT EVERYBODY IS HAPPY; SO WHAT.
I GUESS YOU WANT A PRESIDENT THAT WAKES UP IN THE MORNING AND DEPENDING ON YESTERDAYS POLLS AND HIS POPULARITY, CHANGES HIS TUNE FOR THE DAY.

Don't listen to the talking heads, the spineless DINOS. And for God's sake, please keep rambling on, JIMMO! You are a hoot! Richard "Sherlock Holmes" Nixon! I wasn't aware that the executive branch had it's own police force. Maybe that's what he was impeached for. What a fucking idiot you are. And Conyers' Voting record looks great to me.
Democratic National Committee leaders embraced feisty party boss Howard Dean on Saturday and urged him to keep fighting despite a flap over his blunt comments on Republicans.
After a meeting of the DNC's 40-member executive committee at a downtown hotel, members said Dean was doing exactly what they elected him to do --- build the party in all states and aggressively challenge Republicans.
"I hope Governor Dean will remember that he didn't get elected to be a wimp," said DNC member Gilda Cobb-Hunter, a South Carolina state representative. "We have been waiting a long time for someone to stand up for Democrats."

Not sure? Read this and this. Then Sign. It's the right thing to do. An old Irish proverb: May as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb. In this case, what do you want to be hung for, a badger or a wolverine? Howard Dean, Wolverine.

Not all Jews agree with you. Does that make them anti-semitic? What about the radical Jews that were glad to see Rabin assassinated? Anti-semite, or just right? The Nazis, who were German, wanted to see all Jews exterminated. Do Jews live in Germany today?
I really wish you right wing fanatics would pick one style of propaganda and rhetoric and stay with it. You go from Nazi to Leninist to Stalinist to Maoist so facilely, I'm beggining to think you don't have an underlying foundation of principles and values after all. Just propaganda and rhetoric. No substance whatsoever.

And it's not just the rhetoric, JIMMO. Dear Leader and his minions play patty-cake with anyone. I don't want to go to fast for you, JIMMO, because we all know that your extremely partisan mind is incapable of rational and independent thought, but here is the Stalinist face of your Dear Leader. We don't have to remind you who invoked Stalin with respect to those "black robed demons" just a few short months ago, do we?
No man, no problem? Does that ring a bell? Or do all the bats in your belfry prevent the old bell from ringing? Ding! Dong! Ding! Dong! Hello! Hello?
"Who knew that much of our conservative elite was deep in bed with a horrific Stalinist government? Well, I knew, but for some reason no one ever cares. Look over there! ANSWER got a parade permit!
When you are done with that, I can run down memory lane with you about the Maoist face of Dear Leader's cultural revolutionaries, like you, and David Horowitz, (who probably was glad to see Rabin assassinated) skillfully presented and compared at Billmon's or Michael Bérubé's. Then we can go to the Leninist roots of privatizing Social Security. I can keep you busy spinning for months, just in the opposite direction you are used. That is, if you in fact do spin in one direction that you are used to, or even know the difference.
To these people you carry water for, you are not just and only an IDIOT, JIMMO, you are a USEFUL IDIOT.

Remember...the more strident the trolls get, the more worried they are. If we were really irrelevant or pathetic, they'd have nothing to fear.
Let's keep our eyes on the numbers. 42% approval rating, and sinking. Imagine what that figure would be if the so-called liberal media told the truth about the last two elections, 9/11, and Iraq.

"Hey! Looka here! We got a war, and I'm the War Preznit!"
It has worked in the past, it just doesn't work for long these days. Now if the entire world would rise up and invade us, as I often wish they would (because I hate this government and love my country, just like the Iraqi's under Saddam), I'm sure that many people would welcome them as liberators and throw flowers at them, and even candy, as long as they left soon after we were liberated and took these filthy criminal bastards to the Hague for trial with them.

And really, Nimmo....
(You don't mind if I call you Nimmo, do you? Numbnuts was taken.)
if you are going to invoke the phony anti-semitic crap with your faux moral outrage, please note the source for the story about the instant messages...
By the way, the story about an Israeli company having a "warning" about 9/11 originated not in the fever swamps of the neo-Nazi movement, but with a respected Israeli newspaper, Ha'aretz, which ran a story saying that one or more New York employees of Odigo received instant messages about half an hour before the attacks. When I wrote to the reporter, Yuval Dror, expressing my extreme skepticism about this story, he assured me that the president of the company, a reputable businessman, stands behind Ha'aretz's reporting. My opinion: It looks like a planted story, put out there by the Israelis themselves for whatever reason.
Go ahead, Call Justin Raimondo an anti-semite. If he is, Pat Buchanan is a bigger one, hah!

The trouble with that, Nunya, is that invaders hardly ever come and then go easily. I sometimes wish yet fear the rest of the world will rise up against America, too, but the truth is even if it did (and for good motives) those good motives wouldn't last long in that situation. I'm hoping all those sleeping Americans wake up in time and restore some balance.
The lead cartoon would be really funny if it weren't too close to reality. Ann Coulter would have been a nice addition too. ARGH!
