The simple point being made EVERYWHERE except in the pro-violence lying american media is that the people need food, drinking water, blankets or dry clothes. Anything clean, dry and nourishing will do. ANYTHING!!! ANYTHING!!! ANY FUCKING THING!!!!
For chrissakes this is Friday morning Sept. 2, and they are ALL dying. They live in a toxic cesspool with nothing but an instinct to survive. Imagine living in a chemical outdoor toilet bowl for a week with nothing but death in every breath. Every man, woman and child equally desperate for sustainance and dying in each others arms. Imagine. I SAID IMAGINE!!!
We've had helicopters, boats, busses and trucks running inside the city of New Orleans since the storm passed on Monday. We've had a parade of talking head liars micro-managing the entire scripted catastrophy. We have photos, aerial video, harrowing accounts, grand plans and promises.
The city wasn't flooded until Wednesday but what did we see in the way of help? NOTHING!!! Nothing contributing to stem the suffering of our people. Nothing nourishing, dry, potable or warm. Nothing but gun-toting Martial Law military maintaining the cesspool prison boundaries' order. Are any of you keeping up? ARE ANY OF YOU MOTHER FUCKERS KEEPING UP?
ARE ANY OF YOU MOTHER FUCKERS WORTH THE PRICE OF THE BULLETS YOU ARE MURDERING OUR PEOPLE WITH?
Now then. Load the goddam pallets. Carry them, fly them, drive them, swim, walk, whatever it takes, into the city. Distribute the supplies wherever possible. Leave boats stacked high, trucks overloaded, a pallet on every accessible spot, roof or tree if you need to. Leave more than everyone could possibly eat and drink. But get it done now.
Get it done. American citizens and the entire world is watching you exterminate our people in your made for TV mega-drama holocaust.

You could say that they held back for a couple of days
figuring a lot would die, so there wouldn't have so many to take care of, from citizen, to refugee, to rioters,
to shoot to kill?
Remember Herr Rumsfeld said as Bagdad was being looted that "Freedom is untidy, people that are free are

This week the United States of America became a third world country, albeit the most prosperous third world nation, but one none the less.
(taking a moment to put on aluminum foil hat)
Went to bed last night, after watching Ted Koppel beat up on FEMA director thinking, "this is genocide". I have yet to hear a reasonable excuse as to why 4-5 days later very little of our massive ability as a nation to organize, provide and aid has made it to the people who need it the most. The poor, mostly African American disenfranchised people of New Orleans.
Viewed Harry Conick Jr. on "Today" this morning. He was down to his home city to help out yesterday, but this morning was too hoarse to even speak, probably from screaming at local authorities.
Conick stated that he could load up his car with water and drive it to the convention center within 1 hour, but was told that the situation was "too dangerous". He also reported that rescue crews told him they could not respond to needs in other parishes, because it was out of their juristictions.
This was Conick's city, he loves it with all his heart - he has no agenda other than human compassion that I am aware of. He has no reason that I could imagine to make this stuff up.
Heard the Mayor of NO on NPR this morning yelling and swearing on a radio interview his frustration at state and Federal authorities - "these people have no (bleeped out) clue what's going on down here (my paraphrase). "I am pissed!"
Mr. Mayor, I am pissed too. I am ashamed. I am a citizen of a third world country. The reporters seem to have no trouble getting around the area - they seem fed, showered, rested.
This feels like an experiment in martial law.
This still, this morning, smells of purposeful neglect to me.....
The American people appear to be the only ones moved to help - our government is studying this situation very carefully, while people are dying.

This is a blog from down town NO It is an eye opener.
I can tell you from personal experience you can NOT hear small arms fire when in a flying helicopter you only know it when you are hit or you actually see the shooter. All reports say no chopper has been hit and no reports of eyeball contact with a shooter. I read on another blog that was monitoring air traffic control there was no radio report of incoming small arms fire. I did not bookmark the blog, I am searching my history now.
Just think if all of these poor people die all of the property they own will be on the market for peanuts. Lots of these people own property that has been in the family for generations. Selling this property would have been silly for them because they could not buy another place to live with the proceeds. With the whole family wiped out it will go at auction for taxes.
If you think this is presposterous you do not think like a neocon. You must think like your enemy to defeat him.

I cannot believe this. "Shoot to kill." It seems excessive. I know order needs to be restored... but this is horrifying.
I got an email from a friend in Baton Rouge. She said the city is flooded with refugees. There is total chaos and no help is arriving because everyone is focusing on the hardest hit areas first. There just aren't enough resources available at this time. Very scary.
Prayers and donations and no new tax cuts. Everybody needs to sacrifice for these people.

Ricky, do you have to be such a moron? Seriously? Are you so f****** dense: Are your lips so pursed on Bush's d*** that 'He should have mobilized the National Guard on Sunday instead of Wednesday' and 'He shouldn't have halted monies to levee construction' becomes Bush caused Katrina?
Did your parents punch you as a kid when you criticized them? Are you so incapable of introspection, critical thinking, and accountability that you would defend this man to the death?

I am an independant and a brad blog fan but I need to take the governors side on this. I am sick of these Fuckers ruining the city we are trying to restore. They shot a cop in the head, held up a friend of mine that stayed behind with AK-47's, lit one of the malls on fire, shot a national guard troop, etc...
If any officer of the law is in any kind of danger then I HOPE THEY SHOOT AND KILL THESE FUCKERS. They do not have any rights, and you protecting their actions by going after the shoot to kill policy is not right. Shoot to kill is simply an order letting those in harms way know that by the power invested in them by the governor of louisiana, they have the right to shoot and kill these HOODLUMS.

Shoot em in the head? Is that it? Keep those blacks from my shit. Is that it? There is no doubt in my mind that there will be "a failure to communicate" and many black folk will take bullets in the back when some wide brimmed local cop thinks they were stealing Ipods when they were really stealing diapers.
One thing I've learned from living in the Bronx, Mississippi, and Los Angeles, is that cops when pressed don't always show wonderful restraint in times of crisis.

Law-abiding folks are dying in the streets for lack of food and water, bus drivers are refusing their supposedly "humanitarian" mission to extricate these folk because they "believe they might be in harm's way," and the governor of a grievously wounded state THREATENS her "people" with military innihilation!

Why aren't the dry areas knee deep in water bottles and MREs? Buffoonery has its place but when people die it becomes criminal neglect. So, Republicans, how are all those political appointees at FEMA working out for you?

I do not visit this site often, and I was wondering if you have also mentioned the Mississippi Gov. Barbour? Excuse me if you have.
He threatened to get medieval on looters before the storm, and while Katrina was still raking his state with her behind, he came on CNN, and reinterated it again.
CNN transcripts for the day ought to have what he said posted. They generally post transcripts for everything.
The point being, at least Blanco waited 2 1/2 days, as opposed to 1/2 day before the storm. Why not attack Onan the Barbourian also?

The N.O. cops allow folk there to take what is necessary for life and sanitation. Water, food, toilet paper, diapers, baby food.
It is not a crime for people to take those things.
It is a crime to take jewelry, and exotics like that.
There is a time for everything ... turn turn turn ...
It is a crime to neglect americans in need and instead bring "Shock and Awe" while killing thousands of civilians.
Remember the administration has been on a killing spree for years, and they are quite caloused and are quite capable of barbaric neglect.
The shoot to kill orders are acts of desperate people who think happiness is a warm gun. It was not good policy to announce it publicly at this time.
They always shoot to kill when in danger anyway and to take focus away from the tragedy taking place was ill advised.

:doze: Looters with weapons should be shot if they are shooting others. Looters should surender to any authority. Scavanging water and stealing organs are two diffferent things. How can people reading this site jusify stealing a piano. In this site someone say they had three days before the bad flooding. Why didn't they walk out of town or go to higher ground then? When the criminals stole guns they intended to harm others. To the man who says you can't hear gun shots in a helicopter. Wrong! You can hear the echos when fired at in a city. You can see they flash ( sparkles) if fired in rice paddy. I'm sure you can see it from the flooded city.
Al Sharton, Jesses Jackson & his son and a few others are doing their best to turn this into a racial issue. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharton are multi-millionaires. I just heard several black people who lost nothing in the flood or storm such as Jackson, Sharpton and West blame Bush for the problems.
President Clinton and a Congrees with a Democrat majority decided not to pay for a stronger levy. The Republicans had nothing to do with it. Democrats in Congress decided how strong to have a rescue plan many years ago. CLinton balanced the buget on the backs of those in the South today. You knee jerk reactors should have been reading and paying attention to the facts long before now.
New Orleans in no better then any other city with a high crime rate. If anything the murders will be a lot less whne compared to pre-storm figues.
Hey maybe the black leaders are right... Let us stop now and allow them to niger-rig the South to suit themselves.

Elliot Holt of WARD 6, an evacuee of New Orlean stated that he heard 50 rounds of gun fire when a helicopter flew over last night.
BY the way I happen to have 'white' relatives in the greater New Orlean area. One is one of the first EMT members when they started the program. I hope he doesn't get shot by these gun carrying looters. He is saving lives as always.
I lived in Biloxi many years ago. I endured the suprize of that terrible hurricane in the 60's.. We saved blacks. The Democrat in the white house did very little for anyone back then.

A quote by Revered Wallace of the Universal Life Church namely a Congregation of Friends suggests that perhaps God has a lot to do with the calamity in the Hurricane's path.
Many people refer to New Orleans as a bowl.. It may just be called a toilet bowl,,, GOD FLUSHED IT! That is toilet water flooding that city.
It is written in many places that God has smited those people of lands he is displeasd with.
God wiped out the floating gambling barges. God destroyed a "Sin City of the Western Hemiphere".
God toppled the towers of "Babble" in New York.
Perhaps God is warning us all. Perhaps God is tell the Black Leaders of this country they need to correct their act. Perhaps God wants spiritual leaders to take care of their own not fight the nation that feeds them.
Perhaps God wanted the 10 Commandments to be on public display. Perhaps God is angry at the black people he saved who have now turned to sin, ambivolence, crime, hatred and obomination.
Perhaps this is a sign... But the Black leaders can't read it and will encourge their people to ignore it.
You writters to this blog want to blame Washington and the Republicans. Let him without sin cast the first stone. The Liberals are anti-God in their actions. Prayer in public and in scholl. They object to teaching religion. The Liberals are anti-USA in their actions such as the flag and and the Patrietism of those that love own country. God said the Hebrews were his people. You turn against them. You object to a war against Islomic terror. Those are the Arabs that desire the death of all Jews and Christians.
Maybe there is a God and he is pissed. If there is no God why do you care about anyone else? IF you do beleive how can you support the anti-Christ?
If there is a God he is in control. If he has a plan then the destuction is part of it. Now what city is he looking at now? There is a volcano about to blow up in Washimgton. There are earthquacks building all over the world. If you haven't been to Yellowstone and seen it tilting you need to go. The largest volcano in the world is heating up. Where are you going to go when the world is wiped out?

Inherent Racism in News Reports
The Sydney Morning Herald has no problem cutting through the portrayal of nihlism in New Orleans as just a black thing. They even used an AP pool photo disproving the theory. Why has our domestic press seemed so intent on making this only a black/white thing?
Goto to the URL of the article cited below, and view the photo used in the Sydney Morning Herald. Why wasn't this one published in American Media Headlines?
Sydney Morning Herald, September 3, 2005
"Storm of anger as US fails its own"
by Mark Coultan
["
Garry Jones, one of four Australians driven to safety by a Channel Seven crew after being stranded on the flooded streets of New Orleans, said: "We're looters, like everybody else. You've got to go into the markets. You've got to take water. You've got to take food."
Joining relatives of other trapped Australians in criticising the Australian response to the disaster, Mr Jones told Seven: "We've rung the Australian consul 4000 times. They say they can't get in here. We understand their position but, geez, Johnny Howard, where are you?"
In the New Orleans convention centre, refugees are living next to the dead, with no one in charge of increasingly angry crowds. CNN showed footage of an old woman who had died in a wheelchair at the centre. She was covered by a blanket. Another body, wrapped in a sheet, lay next to her.
"I don't treat my dog like that," said 47-year-old Daniel Edwards, pointing at the woman in the wheelchair. "You can do everything for other countries but you can't do nothing for your own people. You can go overseas with the military but you can't get them down here."
"]
For those who don't pay attention, Johnny Howard is the Bush Administration's Foreign Minister to the Australian Government. Ok, I'm just kidding, but ask the Australian who posts here now and then, if he feels it to be a valid criticism.

Based upon waht I know and what I have been told, I am betting that 1000s were already dead before the breach in the levee occurred, which added to the devastation.
Many of the people that were trapped in the city were trapped from the outset. I saw where a top researcher from LSU said that he warned of this catastrophe a year ago - provided a CD and details during a meeting that included representatives from Congress, FEMA, the military etc. He added that he suggested that provisions be made to pre-satge tents, and supplies. He said that a female representative from FEMA very sarcastically told him that Americans do not live in tents!!! This is America?

I agree with 99% of whats being said on this site, however what the media is not telling you is how the gangs in new orleans had taken over the superdome and the convention center. How the people inside were in constant fear of these "hoodlems". I live in new orleans and rode out the storm in Jefferson parish at my folks house a few blocks from a large hotel on causway blv. Where some of the gang members also took over. When I say took over I mean with rifels, AK47's, AR15's, and scater guns made from looted homes. Did the media tell you that these all american "Hoodlums" went from room to room shooting and killing any one alive that was not part of there gang. Did they tell you that they broke in to Charity Hospital and raped 15 women nurses on duty saving lives. How about in the convention center where they raped a 3yr old baby and also raped and cut the throat of a 7yr old little girl, then stuffed her body in the large cooler with the rest of the people they had shot and killed.
I understand everyones frustration trust me I'm in the thick of it. What many people don't understand is it was hard to help people when being shot at by automatic rifels. This in no way is an excuse for the slow response from the goverment and all other guilty parties. You must understand the people shooting these all american "Hoodlums" are not idiots, they can tell the difference between a loaf of bread and a shotgun. Do you think they plan to chew on the gun to sustain life! Out of all the natural disasters you know about when did toating a rifel and smashing through windows of a shoe store and looting it ever helped. I'm sorry for this terrible tradgedy and it has affected me deeply, but we have to open or eyes to what really was going on in our city.
P.S. These are true statements from very creditable sources. (Local law enforcement)
Thank You!
