Well this is really how I see it....
America is technically one nation under god indivisible and we all have a right to christianity, which is the memory of Christmas.
Some individuals from the ADL and also the Zionist neocons do not believe we should celebrate "christianity" and some of them, including Abe Foxman do not like christmas.
Some of them have even been trying to get christmas banned in the background, and no one has been reporting on that serious news.
It just so happens most of the people behind this display are Aethiest Jewish, but many of these Aethiests have also been used by the ADL & fooled to make this into a circus. In fact if you read this you may understand what happened....
http://www.noahide.com/paganism.htm-The context of Paganism
Others have been making this into a full overblown circus, and I disagree with that premise...but there has been alot of trying to undermine Christmas in the "commercial marketplace" and since this country was founded on christian principles that's got to stop.
Some of these extremists who have been attacking Christians are "Jewish" yes, but the ADL doesn't point out that this influence has been painted all over Aethiest america. And no christians want to deal with this.
All in all this is about the difference of cultures.

If you Jews think America is such an anti-Semitic nation then why don't you move to Israel?

I think the real misconception is... the world perceives supporting Israel more as a favor, or a means to an end... as opposed to supporting the state for its ideals, technological, agricultural, and economic contributions to the international community. The quarreling media institutions of the Middle East and the West have so clouded this issue that good journalists don't even know what to believe anymore... In the coming months, you will see the utterly despicable violence the Palestinian resistance groups will use to tilt the balance of power in their favor, and to inflict as many civilian casualties as possible. Do some research on how many victims the IDF has actually claimed in all of their security operations versus say, the crime rate in D.C. and you will get some perspective on how badly the conflict is misconstrued. Nice topic, Brad, I'm just waiting for the Jew bashing to begin. Unfortuantely, I have had to rethink some of my more 'liberal' foreign policy ideas based on the fact the majority of individuals see Israel and Jews as a whole as responsible for this whole mess, when in reality our involvement in the Middle East may just be a strategic necessity for a much larger conflict... in the meantime, the world will continue to blame the Jews for something they never started, justifying their massacre. Think before you speak people, let's not have this history repeat itself yet again. Judeo-Christian is more than just a label, it's an analogy to show the connections between our common ideals and the roots of Christianity.

Josh: I don't believe its that simple.
I don't agree with Santorum really and he's a nutcase so I won't go there. But the reasons for these wars do have to do with Israel pre-dominantly, not the Jewish people.
There is alot of "people in Washington" who have hijacked the government agenda if not the gov, Zionist Neocons.
I would not presume these people represent the view of the Jewish world, and that in actuality these individuals are using them for their own anti-semitism scheme or build up alot of "hate" in the west.
In other words this has been going on for centuries. Anybody can convert and call themselves "Jewish". That of course does not mean that those who do so are really Jewish at all or stand for true Jewish ideals......some may not know this, but many mongolian warlords in the vein of Ghengis Khan today are "Jewish". These folks are also PNAC neocons, Zionists, and I dare say completely obssessed with power like Joe Lieberman.
Every cloak hides a different mantle.

One of my heros is Schindler. I like to think of him in terms of boundless care for the downtrodden.
He, in my mind, is without race, without ideology, without bias. He is the essence of heroism.
If the Jews are being persecuted, I will seek to deal with their persecutors and will not pull punches. Oh how I would love to have been Schindler.
If the Arabs are being persecuted, I will seek to deal with their persecutors and will not pull punches. Oh how I would love to have been Schindler.
If the Folk from New Orleans are being persecuted, I will seek to deal with their persecutors and will not pull punches. Oh how I would love to have been Schindler.
If the Russians are being persecuted, I will seek to deal with their persecutors and will not pull punches. Oh how I would love to have been Schindler.
If the Americans are being persecuted, I will seek to deal with their persecutors and will not pull punches. Oh how I would love to have been Schindler.
Listen, the spirit of Schindler is to take care of those who really, really, desperately need it. Oh how I would love to have been Schindler.

A Fundamentalist Christian used to cut my hair. She had this vexing obsession with Israel and Palestine, gulping down every word of some "unbiased" Israeli newspaper, and spreading its word wherever she could. She gave me some pages from it that she'd downloaded off the internet. Throughout the text Israelis were referred to as people, or victims, and Palestinians were referred to as terrorists. I pointed this out to her. Told her that was definitely not unbiased reportage. She was very upset by this. NOT that her "unbiased" newspaper had shown bias to the objective reader, but that the Truth was being impugned by a Godless customer.
I couldn't understand why her church had such rabies for Israel's cause, thought maybe they were afraid of the Holy Land being ruined by Arab control, when all along it was just a function of the flock's indoctrination for political action behind it.
When I mentioned to her that Coco the gorilla's IQ was almost as high as the president's, she hacked up my hair so badly that I had to get a crewcut and start over.
Sometimes you need to beat me over the head to get my attention.

The 'churches' have an obsession with Israel because of the coming 'rapture' and the messiah's second coming. These morons have been predicting this for the last thousand years (when it was SUPPOSED to actually happen but didn't). They're also very excited, because 2/3rds of the jews are supposed to be exterminated in the rapture, and the good christians will 'rule' the earth.
It's all of this psychotic melodrama of people who choose to fixate on fairy tales so they don't have to deal with their own miserable and unhappy lives. It's just a bunch of unhappy whackos who project their insecurities, and weaknesses on others instead of learning how to live a happier life themselves.
Feel pity for them, and realize that without medication these people cannot, nor will not change as a rule...

Foxman is very quick to pull the anti-Semitism card. He tends to see every criticsim of Israel as proof of anti-Semitism. He's a loose cannon, really, and he loves being quoted in the press.
Wildmon is equally quick to equate calls for separation of church and state as discrimination against Christians and "family values." He's also a loose cannon who craves press attention.
The two men deserve each other, if you ask me. It's up to sensible Jews and sensible Christians to hold them in line, because once loose cannons turn on each other, the cannonfire lands on everyone.

Anything that begins to break down the US government's lockstep support for whatever any government of Israel wants is a good thing, IMO. Our country can support Israel's right to exist and her legitimate defense needs without supporting her other extended policies down the line, which often are contrary to UN Security Council resolutions, international law, and actually, official US foreign policy for the past 25 years or more.
However, simply having the religious right's knee-jerk support for Israel lessen wouldn't address the 100% pro-Israel position of the Democratic Party's leadership and standard bearers (Gore, Kerry, Hillary). Such a wholesale support of all of Israel's policies is incredibly harmful to the US's world position, and as has become abundantly clear, precludes any peaceful resolution to ME problems.
This Iraq war is exhibit A for the noxious results of following the Likudniks' prescriptions. Attacks on Syria and Iran are their next plan, and the nuclear-armed Russians, Chinese, and now the Pakistanis, have lined up with those near-term future targets, making WW III a likely result of such an action, as indeed, the Israelis have already predicted would be the result of their policy.

What are we to make of Mr. Chertoff? Anyone have a problem with dual-citizenship / dual-loyalties in the Administration?
Remember how it was Andersen Consulting which took the brunt of the legal retribution for the Enron debacle? Michael Chertoff was responsible for that. He put them out of business:
Andersen attorneys thought Chertoff was asking too much and said the firm would be better off going to trial.
Chertoff then warned the Andersen team that if there was a trial, he would play to win. His prosecutors would take "head shots" at Andersen, Chertoff said.
http://www.usatoday.com/.../2002-06-17-chertoff.htm
FYI: Taking “head shots” is a term of the Mossad. It is their tactic for dealing with suicide bombers wearing vests. Mossad has taught this same technique to police forces across the United States.
After Andersen's conviction, the government's Enron investigation gains momentum. After Justice Department criminal division chief Michael Chertoff obtained an indictment against Andersen in March, the prosecutor became the target of public demonstrations by Andersen employees. As the firm's employees confronted the reality that the indictment would drive Andersen out of business, they and others demanded to know why Chertoff wasn't going after his principle target, Enron.
Chertoff's obstruction-of-justice indictment of Andersen quickly broke the firm.
http://www.usatoday.com/.../2002-06-17-andersen.htm
http://www.madcowprod.com/01122004.html
Michael Chertoff, appointed by President Bush to head the Homeland Security Department, may have shielded from criminal prosecution a former client suspected by law enforcement of having funneled millions of dollars directly to Osama Bin Laden while in charge of the U.S. Government’s 9.11 investigation.
"At the FBI's insistence, the White House had already forced ICE to give up its Operation Greenquest program investigating terrorism financing --- and forced Ridge to sign a memo pledging to keep his department away from similar investigations."
http://www.rumormillnews...n/archive.cgi?read=66175
Chertoff allowed scores of suspected Israeli terrorists and spies to quietly return to Israel. In several cases, Israeli suspects working for phoney moving companies, such as Urban Moving Systems from Weehawken, N.J., were caught driving moving vans which tested positive for explosives. On September 14, Dominic Suter, the owner of the moving company, which was found to be a Mossad front company, fled to Israel after FBI agents requested a second interview.
One group of 5 Israelis was seen on the roof of Urban Moving Systems videotaping and celebrating the destruction of the World Trade Center. These Israeli agents were returned to Israel on visa violations.

Popular Mechanics magazine probably didn't worry about the ethical considerations of hiring a cousin of Michael Chertoff, a former Assistant Attorney General and the new Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), as senior researcher.
But the March 2005 issue of Popular Mechanics (PM) plumbs new depths of nepotism and Hearst-style "yellow journalism" with its cover story about 9/11. PM's senior researcher, 25-year-old Benjamin Chertoff, authored a propagandistic cover story entitled "Debunking 9/11 Lies" which seeks to discredit all independent 9/11 research that challenges the official version of events.

plunger: We're not all ready to see if Israel was behind 9-11 yet.....
Its a horrifying reality if it is true....and the evidence is there, given that the US government doesn't have the "capabilities" or "intelligence" to pull off such sophisticated operations...
Only the Mossad does....See the "Lavon Affair"....And the only way we will know one way or the other, and finally have the truth, is with a full-blown investigation of 911 once and for all to see what really happened that day and who was running the Pentagon....
If Israel really did help do it, it is not the Israel which the world knows....It is an Israel over-taken by tyrants and just like any other nation will get its communpuence..

There are reasons to think Israel had a role in the events of 9/11, imo, but they do not include the incorrect 'reason' that the US military or intel agencies cannot pull off such sophisticated operations. Those domestic suspects surely do have such capabilities, and in fact, per the Northwoods documents, the Joint Chiefs of Staff themselves planned and approved about this same kind of operation, and awaited only presidential approval to be willing to execute the plan.
The JCS was confident that IN 1962 (!) they could arrange the 'swapping' of domestic airliners with large air frame military planes painted to resemble the airliners supposedly hijacked and crashed, and control the crash scene and propaganda sufficiently to prevent the discovery of their ruse. And, BTW, with 'remote controlled' military drone planes, in (repeating myself) 19-freaking-62!!
