Good job Brad!
I especially loved the message there right in front of the White House!
In neocon controlled Washington, it's a wonder the cops only wanted to ensure your papers were in order.
Excellent job, once again, Brad!!!

Maybe the ImpeachMobile should pay the Justice Dept. a visit...
Can Justice Be Trusted?

"...Evidence has emerged that the [Justice] department played an active role in shutting down an investigation of Abramoff's dubious lobbying activities in Guam in November 2002. The story raises questions about...whether top White House officials actively abetted Abramoff's shady dealings as early as 2001..."

Everyone needs to remember, that neocon Michael Chertoff was indeed and already in control of the whole justice department in the article cited.
At that time he shut down all investigations, not just Abramoff....for obvious reasons.
Keep up the fight, looks like Chairman specter agrees with the rest of us now.......He broke the law.
So now we got to make sure everyone in congress knows it and knows we're going to throw them out if they don't move.

Here is printable WORD version which was created by JPentz as posted by Brad at the original sign truck thread.
I have downloaded it, printed it with a monochrome printer and then made copies. Leaving them around town where folks can find them.
So far everyone I have shown them to has gone to VR to find out more. My friend sent the page link to BradBlog's article to her father who is originaly from Texas. (He was a big George Bush #1 fan) He already did not like Bush #2, but is now joining the call for impeachment!

Detroit? Why an old English band? Whatever happened to Motown? What a shame. Not only is Detroit the poorest city in America, it is also one of the most violent. What a disgrace. That's where LIberal values get you. A game that sucks, poor officiating, terrible announcing and play by play, horrible sideline reporters. When will Fox or ESPN do the game? Thanks, Mr. Conyers. You Uncle Osama!

"Neocon controlled Washington"????
Now I know you guys are nucking futs. Why don't you neosocialists come right out and say what you mean. Neocon = dirty Jew.
"Whenever I see her on TV, I half-expect her to suddenly pop a small rodent into her mouth, swallow it whole, and then dap at her lips with a hankerchief."
"Nothing would please me better than to see Condi in an orange jump suit, being walked on a leash."
Ahhh. Them "tolerant" libs just can't stand a black woman who doesn't jump down, turn 'round and pick a bale o' cotton for 'em.
I still haven't found any liberal who can explain what the hell the role Secretary of State is during a natural disaster.
Keep flailing about, libs. Maybe SOMEBODY will give you a vote out of pity.

The ImpeachMobile needs to go to Ohio next.
The military is violating the posse comitatus law (link here) and is preparing to make war on american citizens in the name of national security.
There must be some reason they are using Ohio as a test state (link here) .

Since we're already going off topic here...
The reasons for disliking Condi Rice have nothing to do with age, gender, skin color, physical build, or diet, and everything to do with the proximity of her lips to George Bush's butt.
Take her personality and insert it in any white male, she'd STILL be a fawning sycophant.
And the reasons for completely irrelevant posts (such as those above) have nothing to do with political discourse, and everything to do with attempts at distraction due to inability to come up with a logical and relevant response to the thread.
(Besides, once the "posting under different names" filter is applied, half the irrelevant posts disappear anyway)

John Conyers must really be getting under people's skin. Now they're blaming him for the fact the Super Bowl stunk (sucked) and that the officials did a terrible job. It reminds this historian of the fact that after Booth shot Lincoln at Ford's Theater, the government arrested the theater owners and threw them in Capitol Prison.
Keep on keepin' on, Mr. Conyers! First they blame you for the decline of the auto industry, now the Super Bowl. You're doing something right when the trolls have to descend to that level.

Joan - I'm watching, plus following along on Americablog where they have a couple of open threads running.
It's basically a lot of the same ol' same ol'. The Republican Senators are pretty much throwing softballs, the Dems are a little better (Biden got a good punch in at the end of his statement).
Gonzales knows how to play the game (though he has betrayed his discomfort with facial movements and body language a couple of times)
The highlight came when a young man in the back stood up and called Gonzales a fascist, then as he was being removed, the camera moved to someone in the audience wearing a t-shirt that said "Enforce the Law - Arrest Bush!"
Feinstein is on now, and she's doing a pretty good job, all things considered.

So Alberto isn't under oath huh?
What's the point of holding hearings?? Is it just propaganda then? Do these hearings ever lead anywhere?
This habit of not swearing in seems to be a common theme with the Bush people.
Is this new, or have previous administrations done this as well?

OMG, during the break in the wiretap hearings, Leahy just showed the video of Bush insisting that "a wiretap requires a court order, nothing has changed btw" (back in 2004). Crooks and Liars had the video, not sure of that link.
They said they were not allowed to show that video in chambers during the hearing - well gee, wonder why not?
They also showed Gonzales during his confirmation hearing, regarding notifying Congress about Presidential actions.
BTW, for an Attorney General, he sure claims not to know a lot.

Thanks so much, Kestrel! I really appreciate the reports of how the hearings are going. Not to be a pest, but please keep it up! I'm sure I'm not the only one who can't watch right now.
I think anyone testifying ought to be sworn in. It's absurd if they're not, but not surprising.
So glad Leahy showed that video. bush went out of his way to lie.

And don't surprise me, that bush said that during his campaign, like he said he was against Nation Building, which is EXACTLY what he's doing in Iraq. So tell me, do his Kook_Aid drinking followers give him a pass on lying to them? I guess it's "OK" to lie, in the "party before country" rightwingers world.
My theory on "ThatGayConservative", is that one of his buddies, as a joke, stuck the word "Gay" in between his name "ThatConservative", and he's too stupid to delete the word "Gay" from in the middle of the word. He probably doesn't even realize he's posting as "ThatGayConservative"...any bets on that?

Joan - There are live bloggers at Americablog and Crooks and Liars, and C&L has some video.
CSPAN will probably have a video of the entire hearings up later, might keep an eye there too.
Wow...REPUBLICAN Senator Graham is bringing up the inherent authority in time of war argument and prisoner abuse ...Karl's gonna spank him for deviating from the talking points!
I'm only half-listening to the hearings while I work because it's cold and wet outside so I'm stuck inside anyway. I'm having trouble paying attention when people like Senator Sessions are talking - I think I must have my bullshit filter set too high or something, his mouth is moving and every now and then I hear phrases like "9/11" and "Clinton did it"...but mostly there's just a steady droning sound coming out..

Truthout posted an article yesterday about some prominent conservatives who are speaking out against the spying program.
"..."My criteria for judging this stuff is what would a President Hillary do with these same powers," said Paul M. Weyrich, the influential writer and leader of the Free Congress Foundation, a think tank. "And if I'm troubled by what she would do, then I have to be troubled by what Bush could do, even though I have more trust in Bush than I do in Hillary..."
You would think that others of them would be concerned for that reason, too! Unless, of course they're absolutely confident that we will have a far-right president, Congress, judicial branch & media for a good long time to come, which seems virtually certain.

Hillary's a lawyer. She also worked on Watergate. She knows what will fly and what won't when it comes to executive powers.
There's a lot to criticize her for, but to say she's less trustworthy than Bush is ridiculous.

Not only that, everybody fucking pass their own state IMPEACHMENT resolutions..
You know what I mean...
THE REAL ROAD TO IMPEACHMENT
So while you all are rioting, getting rid of voting machines, and tearing it up.....force and bolster your state legislatures to ALL pass impeachment resolutions. Put it onto every state, that we will be backing impeachment and ONLY impeachment.

Saying Bush is trustworthy (or not) is like saying Howdy Doody is trustworthy. Look to the ones who are operating the strings. Do you think they are more trustworthy than Clinton? Their history, up to now, would suggest "no"!
Whatever the level of trustworthiness, at least you would know who's really the president if she were in there.
