As reported by The BRAD BLOG and then, just a few minutes later, the Associated Press, the CEO of Diebold is making overtures about possibly pulling the plug on their e-voting unit. States and counties need to be aware of this possibility before they make any decisions. Electionline.org has published their report on the state of elections around the nation. California counties are talking about ignoring the state vvpat law for the June primary. Another ‘red state’, Missouri, has joined the list of states that are working on regressive voter ID bills….

"While Florida is considered one of the most improved states in election reform, New York stands out as the worst, according to Chapin"

Makes you wonder who the hell this guy Chapin is doesn’t it John?

Florida a perfect example??? Of corruption!

Lets MAKE SURE HAVA is delayed, as that is the main problem…I’m sure everybody could adopt disabled ready devices like AutoMark, and vote pad and onward……IF HAVA wasn’t breathing down their necks. Slow them all down.

One thing that can be said about Florida: There is a lot to improve.

It remains to be seen whether any real headway has been made. I have my doubts.

Would you agree that, if Ken Blackwell were elected governor, Ohio would be run in a more honest and transparent manner?

      Jose

You must be completely out of your mind. Blackwell is under investigation by Grand Juries, broke the law, and is a handler for the neocons. There isn’t a fucking day where he would lead or create a transparent election.

This is the same guy who was in bed with Thomas Noe to steal and wreck Kerry’s plausible victory in Ohio….don’t even go there.

"If I could have nailed Blackwell, I would have," Seminatore told WND. "Believe me, I looked hard, but Blackwell is clean."

Noe’s wife Bernadette was an elections official in Lucas County Ohio, an area that experienced extreme voting difficulties during the 2004 election, causing Secretary of State Ken Blackwell to ask for her resignation. [Toledo Blade, 7/7/05]
