Last night on CNN Anderson Cooper 360, Rep. John Murtha reacted to comments made by President Bush during a rare press briefing. Responding to a reporter’s question, Mr. Bush let it slip that all U.S. troops would not be removed from Iraq for the duration of his Presidency.
This is a short video clip of Murtha’s response (transcript) in which he says:

The regime does not care much for accuracy, truth, or having the facts.
All they care about is taking some position then adhering to it no matter what.
Stubborness posing as steadfastness, propaganda posing as reality, and lies posing as honesty.
It is their pattern coming from their shallow DNA.
How upset you libs must be there is no civil war. I know you were all hoping and praying for one.
We need to be sending Murtha thank you notes every time he speaks out like this.
The man has courage – hope it’s contageous.
Thank God for Murtha.
Evasiveness, thy name is that of every naughty boy who’s been caught out in nefarious doings. Just TALK, BLABBER your way around and through the objections and maybe people won’t be able to disentangle themselves from the locic- and reality-free rhetoric.
I’m glad Murtha isn’t afraid to object to this publicly. Anyone with half a brain can see through this "administration:" the trouble is, our congress-critters are too passive to do anything about it.
"logic-free"!
Ricky, there IS a civil war. What are you talking about?
Did you join the military yet?
Ricky: Why are we still there 3 years later, and Bush just said we will be there past when his term is up? Call that "mission accomplished"?
Based on that, how can you say things are going well? What about the Bush administration’s prediction of a "cakewalk" and "Iraqi oil money would pay for the war"? And we spend something like a billion tax dollars a week on it!
All lies! Nothing the Bush administration said was accurate, as Murtha says.
Has ANYTHING the Bush administration said been accurate? What about the medicaid projections being of by hundreds of millions? I think everything they predict is always wrong, and idiots keep believing them.
Thank God for Mr. Murtha. Maybe there should be a requirement that all senators and representatives serve in the arm forces, they might grow a spine, or balls for that matter. He and Finegold are the only ones standing up for us, Democratrs. I am so dissapinted by the Democratic party for not standing up for our rights…shame on them!
Poor Murtha. He has to keep repeating himself, over and over and over and over, trying to pierce the cognitive dissonance that keeps reasserting itself every time the polls * [says he] doesn’t listen to drop again.
I think "Ricky" is in the White House. 😮
Ricky,
You never answer the question. When will you and Lucy be enlisting?
(#2) is a substantially stupid person.
