The writers at SNL seem more than a little skeptical about the quality of Bush appointments. As White House Press Secretary, Lindsay Lohan couldn’t possibly be less informative than Scottie McClellan.
This clip is the opening segment from Saturday night’s broadcast.

OT: Ed Shultz had the California voting machine lawsuit as a hot topic today. The lawyer who has filed the suit against MacPherson to stop certification of voting machines was on explaining the situation (which was apparently brand new to Ed)….but I think she did a very poor job of presenting the argument. If I didn’t know anything about the machines from various sources, I would have a hard time thinking there was much to the suit other than some kook conspiracy theory. We know different here on BradBlog, of course…but did anyone else who heard it think the arguments were presented clearly and effectively?
I would like to see them do a parody of a US unit that destroyed a lot of ancient Babylon (link here).
Their explanation was essentially that if they hadn’t done it someone else would have done it.
The White House staff probably told them what to say. It is something Snottie would say.

This is the best SNL can do? Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.
