   In other news today, the Vice-President declared that even though it was now clear that Bulgarians, not Japanese, had bombed Pearl Harbor, that “nuking Hiroshima was the right thing to do.”

   Tim Russert then asked him if the Normandy Invasion would have been launched, had the Administration realized it was not a World War, but actually a War of the Worlds radio show. The Vice-President admitted that intelligence had been wrong, but said the American invasion would have gone ahead anyway. “They had a World War there in 1917,” he said. “They could easily have had another one. We did the right thing.”

   One of my favotite slogans on a sign that I’m sure everybody here has seen is the one with the picture of Bin Laden with the caption, “I’m still free! What about you?”

   All the pundits, (learned persons) are saying that we shouldn’t be criticizing this ABC Docudrama if we watched Michael Moores movie. That’s strange, I don’t recall Mike being able to try and teach it in the classrooms through Scholastic Magazine even though the first five minutes of the Moore film have more truth in them, then the first five years of this filthy, lying administration! I’ll debate anyone on that!

   I can’t believe I’m going to try to watch this thing, but knowing what REALLY happened, it’s going to be real hard. Michael Moore went way too easy on these traitors! Traitors, not only the American people, but to the very idea of decency and honor! Thomas Kean! You reek of stench uncommon even to decaying flesh. Ben Veniste! How can you stand next to these people, knowing what you must know. Shame on the entire 9-11 commission!

   I know this isn’t the right place to put this, but look at these SurveyUSA poll results about the Florida Senator race:
   this link shows Harris at 43% on 8-24-06.
   this link shows Harris increasing to 45% on 8-31-06.
   WTF. That doesn’t make sense. Her campaign has been a disaster.

   I love the Freeway Blogger. On his website, he says they also call shows like Hannity, and pretend at first they are rightwingers, and then they change what they’re saying after they get into a conversation with Hannity. It’s pretty funny.

    clearly there are people that don’t want the 9/11 motives known.
    ABC’s movie just lied saying that bin laden said the attacks would continue “until you convert to Islam”
    this movie is very ugly propaganda

    what bin Laden has said has been crystal clear.

This testimony was kept out of the 9/11 Commission Report and no recommendation was given to address the main motive for the 9/11 attacks.

    The Freeway bloger has been a guest on Air America, I hadn’t heard of him before. The way he can reach millions in an instant. He spoke of the fact that A huge sign would be down right away, but small ones stay longer, melting into peoples minds, way cool. Now speaking of melting in peoples minds, this ABC “Path to Lies” is airing outside the US uncut. Who do they think they’re fooling?!!     I support the tactics Scarlet uses, but I don’t think they are all that effective.

    Sure, the signs are seen (or ignored) by a huge number of drivers, but I am curious what the intent is for the following reasons:
    * there is no call to action,
    * there is no interaction with the sign-maker/holder,
    * the messages don’t seem specific, or current enough to really engage viewers,
    * people may see the effort as pranksterish, rather than making a serious effort at growing political awareness, etc.

    I did not mean to denigrate the FWB’s efforts, just questioning how to build on them. I tried to submit a response last night to Soul Rebel, asking for clarification of the metaphor.

    freewayblogger checking in… It’s funny, y’know, I can put up a sign that’s seen by literally 300,000 people. Nobody takes it down, nobody puts up one of their own. Eventually people will catch on… I hope. When you put a sign on the freeway, people will read it until someone takes it down. It’s that simple.
