Of course they're telling us to get ready for confusion, that's because in chaos they can steal. This statement from Drudge is the first part of our conditioning, they will tell us this over and over, so when it happens we will all go yeah, they had that right. Well they're the ones in charge, so why are they so incompetent is the real question we should be asking. And why are all the mistakes only in the Republican favor?
The only answer from all of us is to go out in droves to make it impossible to steal this, most important election. Thats why I have devoted several cartoons to this topic, I want the America I grew up in back.

Well, with all due respect, WNT #2, Brad has been reporting on the coming electoral meltdown for several months now, ever since the spring primaries brought lots of melty, "glitchy" goodness to states using these crappy, hackable electronic voting machines.
Add to that the fact that voters are finding out too late that they've been purged from the registration rolls at alarming rates (see comment #1 above), and it's clear that this is not only a "conditioning" story to prepare us all for widespread failure of the machines. It's real.
Just wanted to make sure that folks know Brad has been all over this like gravy on mashed potatoes, trying to get the word out.
Be Prepared, and Get Out And Vote!!!!!
Better yet, Bring A Friend!

Des #3, Thanks for the heads up, I have been following Brads reports for months now as well, and making the occasional comment. I was refering to the Drudge/ NYT article for the mainstream press as they launch their madison ave advertising push for the sheeple.

Brad has been all over this..he is a real patriot.
We should all be patriots by letting the candidates know that they should be demanding a 100% hand count. These systems have zero transpancy and cannot be trusted. Call, write your candidate, complain to the board or registars and write your local papers!
We shall overcome!

You know, how in the f*ck did we get in the situation where we have to be concerned about what manner in which we vote, because fraud has been proven to be possible, and we are not even sure our votes will be counted correctly at all? WTF!!?? Thanks for the help, HAVA, and NEY, you damn buttplugs.
And Mikel Haas, everyone's got an eye on you! We want crystal clear transparency in this next election, or prepare to be run through the legal wringer by a barrage of lawyers, arrogant jackass. If you are found to be complicit in fraud, I hope you look good in orange.
I never thought I would see my great country nearly ruined by selfish, power mad pigs. This is the USA, and the PEOPLE will have the last say! The PEOPLE are the true rulers, not the OWNERS. You can OWN the USA in some respects, but you cannot *run* the USA. We must always err on the side of FREEDOM, not restriction, and not bending over for every whiney politically correct nutcase that comes along and doesn't like something or agree with it. I mean, when, exactly, did the European countries become MORE democratic and free than the great USA?? Huh? How come *they* get more freedom than us? What has happened to this country? Why don't people care? WTF!!?? Can't you see them robbing us blind, not only financially, but constitutionally; they will take every last right we have.

WINNING THE SENATE: A MONTE CARLO SIMULATION ANALYSIS
1000 simulated trial elections
Based on Senate Polls as of Oct.14
THESE ARE THE 9 CRITICAL RACES:
NJ, TN, VA, MO, CT, MT, OH, PA, RI
As of today, the Dems lead in 7. They trail in VA and CT and have a slight lead in NJ. If they can take just two of the three, the probability is extremely high that they will gain a 51-49 majority.
If the election were held today, assuming the Democrats win 60% of the undecided vote AND ZERO FRAUD, the probability they will win at least
1) 6 for a 50-50 TIE is 99.9%
2) 7 for a 51-49 majority is 82%
3) 8 for a 52-48 majority is 17%
If the Democrats win 50% of the undecided vote,
there is a 55% probability of a 51-49 majority.

Prediction: Bush's & Rove's "confidence is riding high" because they
chaos and screams on election day. They'll be claims on both sides regarding disenfranchisement, election fraud, and voter fraud. Bush will then simply "CANCEL" the elections stating that there will be no way to fix the mess, and will use some little known clause (signing statement) allowing congress to remain as it is until the next election cycle.

Elections? How quaint.
As quaint as the Geneva Conventions and Habeas Corpus -
both relics thanks to Bush and Gonzales - and a Blackmailed

Use your Freedom Of Speech during its last few remaining days.
Here is the evidence of a pending war against IRAN - to be
launched under false pretense in the next two weeks - the
result of which will be martial law and cancelled elections in the United States:
Israel is going to commit a false flag attack against a US Aircraft
Carrier off the coast of Iran in order to "justify" a retaliatory
nuclear strike against Iran (both attacks will be made using
Israel's Submarine)...and it's coming in the next two weeks if
we don't publicize the possibility of it.
Learn about the "USS Liberty" incident - then read this:
Here is the DRESS REHEARSAL for the sinking of the USS Enterprise:
Your country urgently requires that this be revealed to the American

Why aren't ALL DEMOCRATS demanding that ALL ELECTIONS be conducted using paper ballots?
Why not make it a party platform issue right now, and force the Republicans to choose sides on the issue of voter rights - right now?
What would the result of such a coordinated effort by the Democrats be - both now - and following the elections (in the event they are stolen)?
Think it through.
Too difficult to prepare paper ballots in time for the elections?
Bullshit - call Kinkos.

You wonder why Lieberman leads in the "polls?"
Poll results skewed by MEGAPHONE:
BBC recently had a poll asking if Holocaust denial should be a crime in this country -
"The long-running BBC History Magazine poll posed the question: "Do you think holocaust denial should be made illegal in Britain?" Soon after it was targeted by Megaphone, the poll was pulled. The magazine declined to speak to The Register about the episode." -
"Megaphone itself is worth noting as a propaganda tool."
Amazing - the criminalisation of historical research is given respectability by the BBCs twisted use of language.
We have our own Glorification of Terrorism Act which can be widely interpreted by the unscrupulous to mean whatever they wish and the Bush mob have made it clear what they mean by similar acts -
White House Targets Conspiracy Theorists As Terrorist Recruiters
'Strategy for winning the war on terror' says world contaminated, corrupted by misinformation
The criminalisation of those who question the Holocaust shows quite clearly the lengths that can be gone to to perpetuate our beliefs, false or otherwise. It is no great leap to criminalise those who give solace to terrorists by propogating "outrageous conspiracy theories".
The very fact that questioning anything is criminalised should raise a red flag.
Scroll down to this:
GIYUS.ORG - Give Israel Your United Support
"Many of us recognize that the internet is the new battleground for Israel's image. Now is the time to improve our efforts on this front by better coordinating our on-line efforts. An Israeli software company has developed a free, safe, and useful tool for this purpose: the Internet Megaphone. Please go to www.giyus.org and download the megaphone. You will then receive daily updates with links to important internet polls, problematic articles that require a response, and more."
They've developed a blog spamming software tool specifically to infiltrate web sites that dare to post TRUTHFUL articles about Israel - which they of course define as "problematic?"
Is there anything about this approach that does not piss you off?
All of the infighting here and rants about "anti-Semitism" are the direct result of these
M E G A P H O N I E S
If Israel is such a goddamn terrorist state that it requires a legion of disinformation swiftboat lackies to attack the messenger - how much more of YOUR TAX DOLLARS do you want them to have?

Israel is directly responsible for our invasion of Iraq and the pending nuclear attack on Iran.

Voters: purged and rejected
Database problems may disqualify legitimate voters in upcoming U.S. elections
Help America Vote Act of 2002
Long and detailed article includes:
..."HAVA gives the states wide latitude in reacting to database mismatches. If a voter’s registration information and the data in the other databases differ, the act does not require that a state keep registrants off the rolls. But it also doesn’t forbid the states to do so. State officials have therefore set up their own rules, which have resulted in mass purges of registrants in California, Iowa, South Dakota, Texas, and Washington, according to the Brennan Center for Justice at the New York University School of Law, in New York City."....
Raleigh, N.C. : (note 7 states purge convicted felons, unless they are re-instated)
..."Election officials regularly clean the rolls. State law requires that election officials get monthly lists of deaths and that they be notified if a voter is convicted of a felony or registered to vote in another county.
Also, after general elections, the voter lists are purged of "inactive" voters, those who have not voted in years and have not responded to mailings from the elections board.
The situation also shines a light on the sometimes-slippery idea of residency, an important concept when it comes to determining exactly where a voter lives and in which races they may cast ballots.
"It's not as simple as living six months and a day out of a year at one residence,"..."The law talks about a person declaring their primary residence and their intention to live there and return there when they leave."...
To help local elections officials figure that out, lawyers for the state elections board have prepared questions that can be asked for challenged voters."...
..."States now require an ID number on each new registration, such as a drivers license or social security number. If you write that number incorrectly, or if the name on your voter registration form does not match your ID exactly, your registration will be rejected."...
WILKES-BARRE — County Election Bureau Director Len Piazza told the Luzerne County commissioners, meeting Tuesday as the Election Board, that voter registration in some areas is “raising red flags.”
..."Piazza didn’t specify the areas, but Hazleton is known to be one of them because of passion raised over the city’s Illegal Immigration Relief Act. An earlier report indicated at least 50 applications from voter registration drives in the Hazleton area had Social Security numbers that couldn’t be verified.
Piazza said election workers have been instructed not to issue a registration to anyone whose identity doesn’t match a check of either a Pennsylvania driver’s license or Social Security number as required by the Help America Vote Act.
“We don’t have time to commit to a comprehensive investigation,” Piazza said. However, he emphasized that people sign a voter registration form “under penalty of perjury” and anyone found to have registered fraudulently would be turned over to the proper authorities for prosecution."...

Drudge? So then my predictions are true. If Republicans lose this election, expect them to bring up problems with the voting machines. Expect them to act as if nobody had mentioned or talked about or experienced these problems before Drudge and other Right-wing sources reported them. Expect right-wing politicians and blind-supporters to come out and say, "nobody could have anticipated this".

The Democrats and Republicans are the same in one respect - that speaks directly to your dilemma regarding the silence (complacency / complicity) of Democrats.
Only men of low moral character are allowed through the AIPAC filter into the political arena. This virtually assures that they will be suseptible to bribery, blackmail, or both.
Sexpionage is a tool of Israel. They use it to control the political agenda in the United States.
The Bush Crime Family controls the CIA - still flying loads ok coke and heroine into Florida aboard Gulfstreanm jets every day. Why did the administration stand by impotently while Israel committed genocide in Lebanon?
Israel's Comverse owns the best wiretapping system in America, and can blackmail anyone they choose at will. That's how they control EVERYTHING. They have the evidence of Cheney's complicity with Mossad relative to 9/11. Bush 41 is the king pin, and is totally being blackmailed.
They recorded Bill Clinton having phone sex with their "swallow" Monica - and the next thing you know, Clinton reverses his policy on Gaza and pardons Marc Rich upon his exit.

Brad, can people check ahead of time (RIGHT NOW!) if they contact their voting precinct, and find out if, when they show up on Nov. 7th they will be allowed to vote??? I'm speaking mostly for blacks and other minorities... Can they contact their voting precinct RIGHT NOW and GET IT IN WRITING RIGHT NOW that they are registered to vote on Nov. 7th, and EVEN TAKE THAT PROOF THEY GET RIGHT NOW, TO THE VOTING BOOTH ON NOV. 7TH?????????????
Not only that, but they would have WRITTEN PROOF if they are not allowed to vote, that they MADE SURE AHEAD OF TIME, AND ARE BEING SCREWED AT THE POLLS!
Is this a good idea???
Also, a bi-product would be, they can possibly find out RIGHT NOW that they have been purged, and CORRECT IT BEFORE NOV. 7TH!!!

Can't remember when was the last time I posted a comment. It's been a while.
I've been calling congress & talking to staffers who all wish me a "nice day" after listening to my little, impassioned rant. *sigh* Guess they have to be polite.
I wanted to share my current too-long probably-not-gonna-be-read missive to selected senators. I know it's verbose & has too many adjectives & whatnot, but at this point I just let 'er rip & don't much care. Apologies for the length & I hope it's not too o.t.
I am writing, firstly, to thank you for voting against the Military Commissions Act of 2006. I called your office, and several others' offices, to say thank you, but I needed to send this also because I feel compelled to do SOMEthing, even though I believe you will not read this & it is probably ludicrously futile.
But I'm also writing to say that your vote is not enough, and to ask in all seriousness: Where is your voice? We really need to hear it.
Perhaps you are one of the few who HAS spoken out; if that is so I thank you sincerely. Far too many have said little or nothing about the long list of outrages perpetrated upon the country by the GWBush White House. We NEED to hear your voice.
We need to hear it NOW.
The latest of these outrages is the above legislation, which gives the president sole power to decide who is an "enemy", for what reason (or for no reason), and sole power to decide what the maximum ill-treatment of them shall be. I read the whole thing. I hope you have.
I have been a voting Democrat my entire adult life. I will vote again in the upcoming elections, even though I am convinced that I will be voting on unsecure, easily-tampered-with machines, and that my vote may very well not be counted properly or at all. I will vote even though I live in a state in which, outrageously, hand-recounts have actually been ruled illegal. (thanks, Jeb)
I will do this not because I will necessarily believe in the Democratic candidate for whom I cast my vote, but because I believe that many in the Republican party would like nothing better than for people like me not to vote at all. Congress, unconscionably, continues to give them whatever they demand. My vote is the one, tiny, tattered, battered & abused shred of power that I possess. I refuse to give them that, too.
I will vote even in the face of the extremely disturbing realization that the supposed principles upon which (I was taught to believe) my country was founded--principles expressed by such quaint turns-of-phrase as "We are a nation of laws, not of men" and "Of the people, by the people, for the people"--may actually be at best fond myths, useful for sloganeering but essentially empty and meaningless; and at worst carefully cultivated and disseminated deceptions, purposely used to feed the twin cancers of greed and power that are steadily, voraciously, eating away at the very democracy our misguided and/or manipulated "leaders" claim to be protecting.
Although virtually all recent polls indicate that a majority of Americans are outraged at and disapprove of the president, the Congress, the war in Iraq and the state of the country, I shall not be surprised if we see yet another stunning and inexplicable outcome after the upcoming elections, resulting in another amazing "win" for the scandal-prone Republican party, after which we will be told "The voters have spoken!"
This country has never been perfect, but there was a reason why so many people from so many nations flocked to America over the years. Actually, there were several reasons: we were the "land of opportunity", admired for our fairness, our liberties, our respect for the law and for human rights. Freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, fair and transparent elections, checks and balances in government: these were sacrosanct principles, envied, coveted and revered. Maybe the reality was never quite as pure and unsullied as one would wish, but at least we made a show of trying to do some good in the world, didn't we?
It now appears pretty clear to most everyone, though, that these so-called principles, long presumed to be the bedrock of our republic, may in reality be merely an elaborate and frighteningly fragile facade, behind which we find an equally elaborate web of the unthinkable: contempt for the rule of law; legally sanctioned torture, rape and kidnapping; secret prisons; pre-emptive war; suspension of habeas corpus and due process; indefinite incarcerations; war profiteering; paid propaganda; reckless cronyism; arrogance, ignorance, brutality, incompetance, heedlessness, and lie after lie after lie.
I no longer recognize the country I love. Do you?
So I will vote, despite believing it to be an empty and futile exercise in a broken system that I and countless other of my fellow citizens have repeatedly begged Congress and the media to scrutinize. Instead of the serious attention and help we sought, we have been consistently ridiculed and reviled. All but a few in positions of power have chosen to ignore our pleas and warnings.
The United States has been going in a seriously disturbing direction for a number of years, and it seems clear that we would not be in the situation in which we now find ourselves were it not for the complicity and inaction of Congress and the media. Both have failed us.
So I ask again: where is your voice?
Did we hear it during the buildup towards the Iraq war, when millions worldwide took to the streets in protest?
Did we heard it speaking out against the president's 750 signing statements, which give him and him alone permission to ignore the law at will?
Did we hear it speaking out about the now-proven fact that our electoral process can be gamed in thirty seconds by a twelve-year-old with a screwdriver?
Where is your voice?
Have we heard it more recently, speaking out against this stunning and offensive new outrage, the Military Commissions Act of 2006, which gives the president further authority to torture in our name at his sole discretion?
Or have we only heard it joining in the ubiquitous din of condemnation over the Congressional page scandal, which has effectively drowned out virtually all other topics?
And where is your voice right now, as reports surface of the intensified buildup towards a possible attack on Iran?
I quote journalist Larisa Alexandrovna of rawstory.com:
"...What is deeply troubling here is the total silence on the part of the Democratic Party opposition. Not one Democrat in Congress...has demanded an answer..."
So it continues. More war, more death, more torture, more bodies maimed and lives broken.
Where is your voice?

I received a response yesterday from my Board of Elections, assuring me that both I and my husband are still on the rolls here in Tennessee.
I printed out the emails, wondering if I should mail them to myself before the election, just as another safeguard.
Don't wait until you get to your polling place to find out whether or not you've been purged - ACT NOW!
Also, everyone carry the numbers for your local tv news stations - just in case. Who knows, they might actually show up and report. You'll need to carry numbers for the ACLU and any election reform groups in your area as well.
Anybody got some toll-free numbers we can print on cards and pass out to those who have problems voting?
Maybe a highway blogger sorta thing with the contact information in case of problems would come in handy too - somewhere just outside the "no political signs" zone at the polling places.

If you do this NOW...you may find out NOW that you were purged from voter registration, and you can DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT BEFORE NOV. 7TH!!
On the INN Report on Free Speech TV on Dush 9415, I am watching Lenny Charles interview Ohio Green Party candidate for governor Fitzrakis, explain how the GOP dirty tricksters are AS WE SPEAK BEGINNING TO PURGE VOTER REGISTRATIONS IN DEM STRONGHOLDS LIKE CLEVELAND AND TOLEDO!!!!!!!!!!
You won't see this on ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, or FOX.
F*CK them! Dump your cable, and get DISH for viewer supported news channels 9410 LINK-TV & 9415 Free Speech TV, Democracy NOW! news, the INN Report (now, as I'm watchin the INN Report, Dennis Kucinich is giving a dpeech on vote fraud).
Ask yourself, when was the last time you saw an extended speech by Dennis Kucinich on corporate controlled news? It's like he doesn't exist!!!!! When did you see Fitzrakis interviewed for over 10 whole minutes about how the GOP dirty tricksters are purging voter registration in Ohio cities????? Huh??? When ya gonna switch, for the sake of YOU, your SPOUSE, your FAMILY, and your KIDS??????

I was blown away by Moyers treatment of Internet Neutraliy also. I learned lots of things I didn't know. Lots of things that make me very angry at the greedy conglomerates that want more of our money and don't keep promises. We are basically a third world country when it comes to internet development because of these useless, uncompetetive deadbeats!
It's time to start getting involved before our "public servants" get back from campaining to pass the horrible, freedom killing bills that will hand over our precious internet to the pigs at Comcast and AT&T. Call your senator and thank them or ask them why they are against of haven't committed to keeping our democracy alive with the most powerful tool "we the people" have to participate in our own lives. Net Neutrality!
SAVE THE INTERNET

Isn't there anything big corporations can stay the f*** away from..!! Guess not, when there is easy money to be made. Those SOB's....
Sorry for the rant, but all this corruption is TOO much. When IS it going to end..!! Hopefully soon, when you have a change in government.

What's really maddening about media consolidation is that the people totally get it. The largest, completely bipartisan, movement of the last many years, is the push for media and internet freedom from control. The Janet Jackson tit exposure outrage was a complete farce put together by a freak named Brent Bozell. That fake outrage resulted in huge fines for radio and television which puts a cold chill on free speech, and does nothing to protect anybody.
Back in the mid seventies, there was a prime time broadcast television event I'm sure you've heard about called "Roots". One of the opening scenes featured about 200 bare breasted black women being hearded off a slave ship.
The only disgusting thing about that was the fact that it was racist because they never would have shown a bare breasted white women. But, let me see here. What race is Janet Jackson?
If seeing a naked human body really damages children for life more then blowing the living hell out of them because they happen to live in a different country or letting them drown because they happen to live in New Orleans well then I must be going crazy!
Can somebody tell me? Am I going crazy?
If they pass these bills, they will be punching ALL of the American people right in the nose. There is literaly NOBODY in the United States that think it's a good idea to give the corporations more media and internet control for any reason.

If you are going crazy, rest assured you are not alone. There must be millions of your citizens who feel the same way, but hopefully after November 7th the future will look much brighter.
CNN every day this week is running a special on "Broken Government" with a different topic each day.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday @ 8pm ET
Wednesday @ 7pm
Should be well worth a watch IMHO. Hopefully, this series will reach some of the sheeple out there and jolt them out of their cocoons.

Thanks, I actually got to see the rerun of the first Cafferty segment and saw the one tonight also. Very good coverage that I think Republicans as well as Democrats will get good information from. I signed the petition to get him a show too!
