Jack Cafferty and Keith Olberman are the only two newscasters with the "stones" to speak the truth these days. They are both incredible patriots and my hat's off to them for attempting to save this democracy from itself. Atta boys! Keep up the great work.

Can anyone confirm as the Governor says that the Maryland Dems voted against a paper trail?

Agreed. Just about made me cry to hear plain determined talking instead of people squirming as they speak what they know to be a mamouth catastrophic deception.

These bu$$hco fascists don't give a sweet shit about our democracy,.. as long as they maintain a grip on the reins of power over our government so they and their buddies can pilfer its treasury they are happy as pigs in mud. Democracy takes a back seat to self enrichment with these gluttons and avaricious hogs.

Speaking of pilfering, here's the opening sentence:
"More than half a billion dollars earmarked to fight the insurgency in Iraq was stolen by people the U.S. had entrusted to run the country's Ministry of Defense before the 2005 elections, according to Iraqi investigators"

Am looking at the tree tops. They bend sway, their movement shows the prevailing wind. We now have people turned into robots by fear. They do not honestly reflect the prevailing wind. Standing staunchly in fear pitted against the strong storm of truth which blows about them, they igore for dear life or so they think.
Totally O/T --- Brad, congrats on being the keynote speaker at the Jefferson-Jackson Dinner in SB with Wes Clark!! Wish I could be there! My good buddy, ms in la (author of Who's Counting and Clarkie extraordinaire) will be there!
btw, could you fix the typo in the listing up top:
Wes Clark --- no e. Thanks! and break a leg!!

Cafferty, Olbermann and let's not forget the great work of Bill Moyers. They are the beacons of our media. They all deserve prime time programs on one of the big three networks. It is a travesty that Cafferty and Olbermann are cable broadcasters, when so much of America only gets the major networks. We need to petition the big three to steel these guys from cable for the health of our democracy. I am often amused at comparison between Jack and Wolfe during the week. When those to are spot lighted together, it is kind of like watching Bush next to any other adult speaker. One is eloquent, the other is lost.

I don't see Wolfe often, but I swear to god someday he is just going to start screaming on the air.

Hmmmmmm. Why was the comment I made previous to #7 deleted? I mean, I know I messed up trying to post the link but still.... that's never happened before & it seems pretty odd.

#4, I'm wondering about those Maryland Dems as well. Brad, do you have any info on this? If true, they need to be held accountable.

When it comes to MSM anchors, don't kid yourself, they have CIA handlers. I'll try to find that article again and the link.

Well, Air America radio tried their best to suppress Mike Malloy...then they wonder why they're claiming bankruptcy??? What a bunch of Maroons!!!
Note to Air america: The "middle of the road" never gets you anywhere...trying to please both sides never gets you anywhere...
I believe the quote is, "trying to stay in the middle of the road only ends up getting you run over."
True today as ever.
Some nice postings here.

You are correct!
Quite a while ago, I happened to be listening to Air America on Janeane Garofalo's last day. I can't direct you to the show because you have to pay for it, but they made a call to the new manager. The guy is the definition of a jerk. They made some comment that he didn't like and he started getting real dark. Sort of "do you know who I am" dark. Very strange to hear something like that come out on the radio.
If you want to hear the best account of what happened to Mike Malloy and Air America radio, listen to the October 19th Bob Kincade show. He has a very good interview with Mr. Malloy.

Hats off to Jack Cafferty for joining the truthsayers of the 21st century!
This month has been one truly incredible display of great journalism with special thanks to Bill Moyers who somehow got back on PBS just in time! Thanks PBS!
Thanks again Keith Olbermann!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Hope you're right about better days coming. I'm 54 and darn tired of paying taxes here, and still having to fight everything my government does.
We must be starting to wear them out, but they will do anything for money, so it's a battle.

I hear ya brother..!! I'm 62 and was tired of the corruption in our government but we did manage to boot out the Liberals and ended up with a minority. It may not be the perfect solution, but at least the message was delivered by the people...."be careful, you can be replaced if you screw up royally"..!!
And from what I see, your elected officials have MORE than screwed up royally, especially your commander in chief. He's so obnoxious......he rewrites the rules as he goes along without going through the necessary channels.
I usually watch the news room Q & A periods from the White House and something isn't right. Bush is always parroting on about how the Repugs are going to win in November, yet not one of the news people ever question him about these hackable voting machines.
Now, surely with all the information out there about this, how come no one brings up the question of why Diebold isn't being taken to task about their secretive processes and the easiness with which votes can be manipulated to spit out totals favourable to one party, regardless of how the people vote.
Are the questions from the news people screened beforehand ? I've noticed Bush sometimes looking down at what must be a list on the lectern before he calls out the next persons name.
It wouldn't surprise me if that IS the case. After all, he does seem to have a hard time with live broadcasts. No wonder he wouldn't debate with the Iranian president months ago when the invite was issued. He didn't want to end up looking like a bigger moron than he already is.
I'm not just playing with words here. We do *not* need a voter verified paper trail. A paper trail isn't what gets counted or recounted. A ballot is. What we need is a voter verified BALLOT!
