Today the Associated Press reported that 11 people who worked for a firm hired by the Republican Party were indicted for voter fraud. The workers were paid as much as $10 per Republican registration so they signed-up anyone they could and changed their party affiliation to Republican.
“There were at least 37 instances in which Democratic, Green Party voters and a noncitizen were registered as Republicans. Each defendant was charged with felony counts of fraudulent completion of registration affidavits.”
…and they report:
“Subcontractor John Burkett of Lake Elsinore said he discovered problems with his recruiters’ work during random checks of submitted forms and he notified his clients.
“The 11 defendants charged Tuesday weren’t identified and details of the charges weren’t disclosed by District Attorney Tony Rackauckas.”
In a truly brilliant move the chairman of the Orange County Democrat Committee leaked the news of the indictments stealing the thunder from Secretary of State McPherson who wanted to wait until Monday to have a press conference. Reporters attempted to contact the Secretary but calls were not returned.

Probably had illegals taking them names too
Sorry I know this is off topic, but U.S. journalist killed in Mexico’s Oaxaca conflict. Do you think this can happen here? Will they start killing us after they steal this election like they stole the one in Mexico? This is Unreal what’s going on.

I sit here and shake my head every time some new crime slithers out of the Republican voting woodwork. I think it can’t get uglier than it was earlier today, or yesterday, or the day before, or 2004, or 2000. But it is. It always is. Have they no self-respect? The dirt they grovel in is really gross. Where exactly is bottom for them? Who will pay for the rehabilitation? Is it even curable? And what is “it” exactly?
P.S. Chevron posted today record profits. The news was posted front and center this morning and then later it disappeared somewhere…
Miss Persistant, I hear you. It makes my eyes bleed! Honest people can’t think like criminals, we can’t grasp how they could do harm to others over and over again. Here you have not just one dishonest crook but many and they are all at the top. It’s going to get even uglier IMO before they are brought down.
I hope all you cheaters out there are paying attention. You could go to jail for fraud!
It is about time some prosecutions were handed out,..
what about the criminal group,.. Sproul Associates,..
drain the swamp all the way into the west wing of the
white house. Remove the snakes and thugs,.. they are
contaminating and polluting the electoral and
political process.
Act fast,.. irreparable harm is coming to our DEMOCRACY.
Loretta Sanchez…Ion Sanchez (D-Florida)
Is it possible there’s a conspiracy at work by the Sanchez family to save Democracy?
The more publicity such cases produce the better. The public won’t take the voting machine companies at their word when they’ve seen the fraud and the Republicans won’t be believed when their employees are exposed in court or by the press (as with Foley).
MarkH – That’s Ion Sancho (not Sanchez). But whoever wants to save democracy, I’ll take it! I could use a nap! 🙂
I still wonder if the real motivation of these *stards was to not just get these people registered as Republicans, but to ALSO mess up the matches of their addresses and names in their voter registration records, so that they would fail McPherson’s newest Jim Crowe DMV matching scheme he’s got with newer voter registrations. That might also explain why L.A. was significantly higher than the rest of the state in those DMV/Voter registration match failures (43% vs. 26%).
These people should be fined HEAVILY for EVERY voter that they’ve affected that is not allowed to vote on the 7th due to their actions. And if enough reports come in of voters being turned away, then they ALL get more years tacked on to any prison terms they get for the voter fraud stuff.
Having lived in the OC for 20 of the past 25 years, I can attest to the arrogance and hubris that seems to grow like black mold in Newport Beach. The airport war for El Toro was funded by the mega rich Republican good old boy network that was going to get richer building an unnecessary LAX sized airport at the closed Marine base. It would rerout the air traffic from John Wayne Airport, which was totally refurbished and modernized… and unpaid for, 7 miles down the road to El Toro, which had runways oriented in such a way that the flights would no longer pass over their oceanfront mansions. It was an economic and environmental disaster in the making.
The citizens finally woke up and fought back. It was down and dirty. It took 10 years and 4 elections to finally put down the beast. We saw every slimeball trick that these criminals could muster to subvert the will of the people at the polls.
The sad part of this affair is that the foot soldiers will take the fall and their bosses will likely never see an indictment. After the El Toro debacle, I was so disillusioned with the American Dream that I moved to Europe. I simply could no longer take part in a society that willfully accepted the leadership of dull witted thugs.
Unfortunately this is all about money and corruption at the top. Absolute power corrupts. Have you see Aaron Russon’s new flick? It explains the whole thing. It’s free.
