The Democratic radio address Saturday was given by a Retired General and Bush 2000 supporter…
A former Air Force chief of staff and one-time “Veteran for Bush” said Saturday that America’s foreign relations for the first three years of President Bush’s term have been “a national disaster” but that the president’s Democratic rival was “up to the task” of rebuilding.
When both the “Solid South” and the Military are falling away from a Republican “President”, one needn’t be Miss Cleo in order to connect the dots.

“We defend the peace by going after terrorists where they are.” Colin Powell
“intentions do not always translate to results.” G.W.Bush
I remember a few years ago when Mr. Bush gave a speech in which he claimed the war on terror would be different from the wars we’d known in the past. Different in tactics and execution. I thought, "he’s on the right track".
I was very disappointed when he decided not only to use old tactics, but to fight the old wars.
Going after terrorists where they are? There were almost no terrorists in Iraq, before the war, except perhaps in the Kurdish section, where WE protected them from Hussein. (And I’m NOT refering to the Kurds who Hussein and the Turks consider terrorists) Now Iraq is full of terrorists because we opened the gates.
From now on, when Bush proclaims his "accomplishments" and future goals, my response will have to be, "intentions do not always translate to results.”
