In response to Condi Rice’s recent comments before the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee that the Iraqi government was working on “borrowed time,” Iraq’s Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said:
“Such statements give moral boosts to the terrorists.”
I wish the Bush Administration would stop supporting al-Qaeda with their irresponsible rhetoric.
Do they not know we’re at war? Have they forgotten what happened on September 11th, 2001? Why do they hate America?
They hate our way of life. They hate the Constitution. They hate the America that stands in the way of absolute power and absolute profits.
They love terrorism; it is their friend and ally because it’s all they’ve got to keep ’em afloat. Terrorism is their winning ticket.
Helen Thomas did a wonderful interview with Amy Goodman today on “Democracy Now.” I certainly share her rage concerning the way our “elected leaders” are blaming Iraq for the problems there.
The Randi Rhodes show from Jan 18th has a clip from Helen’s confrontation with Tony Snowjob where she asks if the United States would be polling the Iraqi people to see it they thought a surge would be a good thing. Tony says no. Helen comes right out with the truth that we are a conquering force and the whole conversation gets pulled from the White House web site.
Clinton didn’t censor anybody. These guys do it all the time. Wake up America! If you’re not doing anything wrong, YOU DO HAVE SOMETHING TO WORRY ABOUT. Just ask any law firm who tries to defend detainees who may be completely innocent.
Blame the victim Iraq … more of the same from BushCo.
