Has it been three years? Apparently. And we were so busy covering the latest Diebold debacle on Wednesday that we forgot to remember it was our Anniversary!
My unknowing gift to myself, apparently, was the huge number of sites which linked up to that story across the World Wide Interwebs in the subsequent 24 or so. But did any of those hundreds of thousands of readers leave a single anniversary tip for yours truly? Of course not 🙁
Whining now out of the way…a heads up that we’ll be hitting the road shortly for a week or so. You may or may not notice. While gone, we’ll be sitting in to Guest Host the mighty Peter B. Collins Show a couple of days late next week from Phoenix. Hope to have some pretty exciting guests. But more details next week.
And as we enter Year 4 here, I suspect we’ll enjoy many more breathtaking plunges, climbs and g-force brownouts on the unpredictable roller coaster that is The BRAD BLOG. Hopefully we’ll see some exciting changes as well.
To that end — and as I consider making the new “Dark on Light” color scheme (selectable from the right sidebar) the default theme here in the not-too-distant future, just to blow all expectations to hell by subordinating the classic BRAD BLOG yellow-on-green (we hate for anybody to ever get too comfortable) — please feel free to leave in comments any thoughts, suggestions, hopes, dreams or criticisms that you’d like me to consider — technical, substantive or otherwise — in the coming year.
Honored to have your input. For good or bad. Like Dick Cheney, I’ve got a thick hide and I’ll just completely ignore what I don’t like, so feel free to have at me. 😉
Thanks to all BRAD BLOG readers and supporters for three years of unimaginable “success”! Couldn’t be prouder to know you’re here. Onward!

Happy birthday, bradblog!
And thank you, thank you, thank you for all you have done about the voting machine & election debacle(s). I regularly reference this site and give credit for your pit bull tenacity. Had you not done all that research & publication, MSM would never have been forced to pick up some of stories you brought forward.
Sorry I didn’t think of your birthday. Too busy thinking about ’08 now that ’06 is over!
Hoist one high knowing that you serve your country well.
Congratulations Brad, and thank you for all your work!
Coming to Arizona? Maybe you can talk about this breaking story:

Happy Anniversary Brad. Great site.

Brad blog is composed of Brad, bloggers, and the text composing posts.
Some of that text is thousands of years old, and some of it is as old as the constitution.
Words are the shadows of ideas cast upon our eyes in the colors of life, from the powerful violet to the weak red.
But the ultra violet and the infra red also can be detected from time to time.
Alberto Gonzales is about three ignorant years old, but Bradblog is three years good ole and getting gooder.
The Bestest Blog on the ‘Tubes’ I say is right here

The two biggest issues to solve before the biggies can be solved are making sure EVERY VOTE GETS COUNTED and STOPPING COPORATE CONTROL OF THE MEDIA.
You really GET IT! THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Three years?? I didn’t even realize this place was fairly new when I stumbled across it back sometime in spring/summer of 2004!
Happy anniversary Bradblog! This place gave me hope when I was in desperate need of it. Nice not to be traveling this road alone.
We love you Brad.
Congrats, Brad! And my eyes thank you thank you thank you for the dark-on-light format!!!
Maybe from Arizona you can educate the slow learners in California about Clean Money elections.
And many happy returns of the day to you, Brad!
About the color scheme: The reason I have stuck with the green and yellow is because it expresses the persona we have all come to know and love: bold, angular, bright, clear, and clever.
Taking Al Gore’s invention and making it better! If that invention does nothing more then making our votes count, it will have been worth every minute!
Thanks Brad!
Brad –
Thanks for serving your country so tenaciously and so well. You’ve kept your eyes open and your brain working; you’ve been as Brad as you can be! I think you’ve proved by example that being a patriot is a task for an individual, not a sheep. Blog onward, Brad. Maybe someday, when we have fair elections, you will get to sit back, watch movies and eat cheetos! For awhile.
Only three years and Brad has rocked the world!!! Keep up the good, very good, and best blogging work going down in our world.
The work is not finished yet …
Brad,
I came here first on the morning after Kerry’s miserable capitulation, utterly shattered, and I recognized a kindred spirit, several kindred spirits, in fact, and have been here almost every day since then. When the history books are written about this miserable era in American history, you will be one of the brightest of the few bright stars. If I could send you some money I surely would. (Do you happen to know anyone who can spare an extra dime? Oh well, that isn’t the important thing to me.) What’s important is to protect the entity that I raised my right hand for and “protected” for four years of my youth, the once-great nation called the United States of America. Our country can survive only if every vote is counted openly and tabulated fairly and openly. We all are mighty grateful that you get it. Please keep on keeping on, and don’t worry about putting yourself out of work by cleaning up the whole process. As soon as the election system is working properly, I’m prepared to work tirelessly to put you in the Oval Office. So, Happy Birthday, BradBlog, and three cheers! Now, let’s all get back to work. Love and Peace and Rock and Roll from Bob in Prague
If I recall, it was the Clint Curtis thing that brought me to Brad Blog. I was just checking things out. I had no intention of making it my online home. In fact, the concept of participating in a blog discussion never entered my mind.
Well, it was just too enticing after I spent a little time exploring the site. No way to really pin it down, but I thought I discovered a kindred spirit in Brad and the blog just emanated good will and tough, reality-based discussion (and humor).
So, I took the plunge. Also, I’ve read the “Great Books” series, taken two advanced degrees, and gotten my minister’s license while waiting for the blog to load. 🙂
Great work, Brad, and best of luck for the next three years.
Here’s to Brad getting what he deserves when this is all over… A (high paying) radio/TV gig where he can fight for the rights of everybody. A consumer activist of sorts. Thanks, Brad, you’ve helped keep me sane by being a beacon of hope that one day we will regain control of this behemoth of corruption we call our government.
“…gotten my minister’s license while waiting for the blog to load.”
Don’t worry, Big Dan. I’m joking.
This Blog makes a difference . . .
Congrats to everyone and to you BRAD. I think I have fallen in love with you!
