Today the Atlanta Journal Constitution [see below] reported, “Some key components of one of Georgia’s most sacred institutions “” that had been discovered in discarded office furniture “” were recently auctioned on eBay. About 40 voter access cards and three electronic ballot encoders belonging to DeKalb County were purchased earlier this month on the auction Web site, according to Secretary of State Karen Handel. Another seven supervisor’s cards, used to activate the encoders, also were up for bid.” // The revolving door is in effect in Williamson Co. Texas where an ex-Hart Intercivic and Sequoia employee has just been named to be their county elections chief. // According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel [see below] the new Florida Gov. Crist will recommend that DRE voting systems be replaced by optical-scan voting systems throughout the state….

John ?, I have a question about that first link, “Ciber downplays”, in the article it states “The so-called assessment report was prepared by a private contractor.”
Do we know who the ‘private contractor’ is ?, or did I miss something.
Also, for any old time Republicans out there, Charlie Crist is turning out to be the real deal, so far the way he is going, He might be the first Republican I’d ever vote for if he runs the next time, he’s better than a lot of Democrats down here…we’ll see though, he just got started
The private contractor is Steve Freeman of Freeman, Craft and McGregor Group. He was on the NASED Voting System Panel that ignored Cibers lousy testing and paperwork for years then he went to work for the EAC and turned on Ciber.
Thanks John, I’ll stew on that one for a while before commenting
I’m still reeling from just watching “Iraq For Sale” someone posted a suggestion to watch
If you watch this, you can see how our voting system is shaping up in a similar manner
We have to get rid of this privatization of Government soon, or we are going to go to hell in a handbasket big time
I see Craft was on the board too with Freeman, but no mention of McGregor, he must be alright, huh ? (pfft)
Link
correction, She not he
Link
See what I mean by memories fading and we have to bring this shit up over and over again or it fades into oblivion ?
Here is a post by John on 6-26-06 about the unqualified IMO Freeman Craft and McGregor
Link
I like that, McGregor was a bar-fly before this 😛
Unbelievable about DeKalb Co., GA losing track of DRE components — and then having them end up on eBay!!! Good Grief. I assume the level of incompetence filters down from top management [i.e. the morons who have hijacked our gov’t.]
sick-sick-sick.
