HAGEL: ‘Before This is Over, You Might See Calls for his Impeachment’

Share article:

SEN. CHUCK HAGEL (R-NE) IN ESQUIRE TODAY

“The president says, ‘I don’t care.’ He’s not accountable anymore,” Hagel says, measuring his words by the syllable and his syllables almost by the letter. “He’s not accountable anymore, which isn’t totally true. You can impeach him, and before this is over, you might see calls for his impeachment.”

Hagel is setting himself up as the last ditch alternative for Republicans to vote for when it becomes obvious to almost every American that we’ve been taken over by the fascists.

Sorry Chuck, but, speaking for myself, I don’t see how replacing one election thief with another is going to help us get back to the supposed democracy that you and all the other bastards in Washington sent the troops off to die for!

By the way, are you one of those Christian Dominionists, or is that hidden just as well as your involvement in the voting system which got you elected?

I really like Hagel lately, he seems like a real conservative Republican. But I always question that he was on the board of ES&S and won after Nebraska went with ES&S e-vote machines. That aside, he’s one of the few conservative Republicans. If Limbaugh & Hannity hate him? Then he’s “OK”…that’s the litmus test…

    big dan:

Don’t underestimate the deceit of Hannity and Limbaugh. They will turn themselves inside out if it means keeping the presidency. They will easily give up Bush to remain in power. Bush will willing step down for the Republicans to stay in power. Gingrich didn’t step down because he wanted to, it came from on high.

Honestly, I don’t like talking about this creepy stuff any more the Chris Hedges, but read this paragraph from a Rolling Stone article:

The godfather of the Dominionists is D. James Kennedy, the most influential evangelical you’ve never heard of. A former Arthur Murray dance instructor, he launched his Florida ministry in 1959, when most evangelicals still followed Billy Graham’s gospel of nonpartisan soul-saving. Kennedy built Coral Ridge Ministries into a $37-million-a-year empire, with a TV-and-radio audience of 3 million, by preaching that it was time to save America — not soul by soul but election by election. After helping found the Moral Majority in 1979, Kennedy became a five-star general in the Christian army. Bush sought his blessing before running for president — and continues to consult top Dominionists on matters of federal policy.

Maybe Hagel’s being setup as the “good Republican”…by them(?).

Here’s something I learned a while back: Never trust ANY Republicans…EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, Bush portayed himself as a “uniter, not a divider”, “no nation building”, lie after lie after lie…I’m not trusting ANY Republicans ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!

“In 1996, Hagel became the first elected Republican Nebraska senator in 24 years when he did surprisingly well in an election where the votes were verified by the company he served as chairman and maintained a financial investment. In both the 1996 and 2002 elections, Hagel’s ES&S counted an estimated 80% of his winning votes. Due to the contracting out of services, confidentiality agreements between the State of Nebraska and the company kept this matter out of the public eye. Hagel’s first election victory was described as a “stunning upset” by one Nebraska newspaper. ”

    big dan:

Wow, those guys at the free press, (Mr. Bob Fitrakis in this case), really know how to investigate a story. If these wealthy financiers of the far right know how to do anything, it’s how to hide a fraud by shuffling company names and executives around.

If they ever prove fraud on these machines, or, should I say, ever ALLOW fraud to be proven, it will have been Hagel that exposed the scheme by winning that “stunning upset” on his own machines raising flags for people like Bevery Harris. Not too smart. I wonder why these geniuses in the dominionist movement didn’t stop him and choose somebody else who couldn’t be connected.
    Yikes!

I tried to connect Hagel to the dominionist movement with Google, but nothing comes up. The article in the Free Press connects him, at least financially with the Constructionist movement. Here is a quote from Chris Hedges from Democracy now:

This is a new movement, as embodied by people like James Dobson or Pat Robertson or Jerry Falwell, who call for the creation of a Christian state, who talk about attaining secular power. And they are more properly called dominionists or Christian reconstructionists

I totally agree with Hedges. If they can shuffle company names around and use words to soften their true intent, we should too. After all constructionist sounds so, well, constructive. We know what you guys are up to, and domination is so much more appropriate.

When the Republicans were going to use the “nuclear option” and Bill Frist was going to hold a Cristian event to make sure they got their corporate Christian judges, Hagel was on with Wolf Blitzer making sure everybody knew he was against mixing church and state, saying:

“But again I say neither religion nor government should become an instrument for the other.”

He didn’t seem to mind any of that “Christian” money coming his way. And I put the word Christian in quotes for a reason. Not all Christians are in it for the money. Chris Hedges is certainly one of the later group, and a VERY brave man.

I just don’t trust this guy, But hey I’m coming to the conclusion that ALL politicians are corrupt. I’m not confident that the dems aren’t rolling over on Iraq. Hagel votes almost 100% of the time with the rank and file rebubs.

I’m sorry Mr. Hagel, but you cannot repair your party now.

Six to 12 years ago was the time to cast out the neoCon infestation.

In posts on this Blog we gave you time, warning you to get rid of the neoCons or they would get rid of your party as an honest and american party.

Yours is now the party of fascist thugs, looters, war profiteers, and neoConvicts.

It is too late and your party’s ass is grass … even if you impeach both Cheney and Bush.

From the article I have posted above in comment #7:

(Fitzrakis has been on Free Speech TV’s “INN Report” numerous times)

“Wherever Diebold and ES&S go, irregularities and historic Republican upsets follow. Alastair Thompson, writing for scoop.co of New Zealand, explored whether or not the 2002 U.S. mid-term elections were “fixed by electronic voting machines supplied by Republican-affiliated companies.” The scoop investigation concluded that: “The state where the biggest upset occurred, Georgia, is also the state that ran its election with the most electronic voting machines.” Those machines were supplied by Diebold.

Wired News reported that “. . . a former worker in Diebold’s Georgia warehouse says the company installed patches on its machine before the state’s 2002 gubernatorial election that were never certified by independent testing authorities or cleared with Georgia election officials.” Questions were raised in Texas when three Republican candidates in Comal County each received exactly the same number of votes ““ 18,181. ”

“People might start calling for impeachment?”

WHERE HAS HE AND OTHER CONGRESS MEMBERS BEEN ? The American people, even states are calling for impeachment. People are marching, writing, calling for impeachment and Hagel says, “might”.

How about term limits of two terms only. Maybe they could spend time on issues instead of drumming up campaign money.

I am a registered Democratic..I have always voted democratic…personally I would like to see some of (Hagels) backbone in just one Democratic nominee hopeful…just one that had that kind of iron will to try and make some things right, again…remember the Republicans disowned this guy the first time he spoke “out” on Bushcos policies…I will listen to him…I admire his courage and convictions…he is a war hero who doesn’t think it necessary to spill more blood..is that so bad..?

Texaslady is right..almost the whole country is screaming for impeachment..and has been, for some time…neither the Republicans or the Democratics, seem to get that…thats the reason that we put the Democratics in control, because “we” knew that the only way to stop those insane men squatting in the White House from starting a damn nuclear world war, was to impeach the bastards, but it appears that some of the Democratic party has “bets” or stocks to loose if we pull the plug on Bush’s wars, guess we should throw them out next election too..why doesn’t Congress get it..?

Hagel has some “splainin'” to do about his monetary connections to the FAR right. I’m not happy with what the Democrats have done since Bush “took” office, but if Hagel stole an election, he’s going to have to make an appeal on bended knee.
