I like this. Welcome back.
On a side note ...I saw something on TV last night but I think I may have been dreaming...

Not back yet, Johanna! Still a few more days (at least) until I'm back in the comfy confines of L.A. --- so will be on only briefly, if at all, until then!
Keep up the good fight while I'm still away, and don't let the folks from the right get your goat. That's what they hope to do in lieu of supporting their unsupportable positions!
It's why Kerry "looking French" is more important than scores of thousands murdered by Bush and Friends, or millions of folks without jobs or health insurance. Don't fall for it. It's all they have.

Thanks. I try.... I didn't really know I had a goat though..
I gotta ask: what do you bloggers do for a living? And where do you go? And what kind of job lets you (or makes you) travel around so much? I thought I had it good....

This cartoon is a public service announcement from the United States Communist Party.

Really, Ed? I didn't know that stating the fact that our diversion into Iraq cost us the chance of capturing bin Laden and stabilizing Afghanistan was a Communist viewpoint. Or that stating the fact that Bush is spending OUR money like Robert Byrd on a bender and creating a massive deficit made someone a Communist...
Really, Ed. You can do better than that.

For the record I would still vote for Bush if he looked French.
I used to think Bush flip flopped on the issues, but I don't think that anymore so I am flip flopping on the flip flop. Hope I don't step on a pop top.

Ed, you "would still vote for Bush" if he gave China the key to Fort Knox, gave Kim Jung Il a truckload of uranium, and gave a blow job to bin Laden on Fox News Live.

Dear Senator Kennedy,
Or can I call you Teddy. That cartoon though percieved as fact by many who are seeking to remove Bush is nothing more than opinion. Its purpose is to make Republicans look stupid and even though you believe it to be true does not make it a fact. By the way how is your liver holding up??

Maybe at that point I might consider writing in Paul. But it depends on what your definition of is is. Kim Jung Il?? Is he the Korean gymnast that got screwed by the judges at the olympics thereby giving Paul Hamm the gold. We are soooo proud. At least our president was elected legitimately. BTW helluva hurricane Jeb Bush stirred up in Florida. I keep waiting to hear you guys blame that on the Bush administration. I would write you in Brad but you look French.

Ed, the Teddy you are now foolishly turning your Red Baiting on happens to be a Republican. Or at least was until the party was hijacked by the TheoCons.
Your comments here say quite a lot about today's Republican Party however. So keep up the good work!

Do your homework, Ed.
And while you're at it, tell me exactly what going into Iraq at this time has accomplished in bringing bin Laden to justice. As far as I know, he's still at large.
And tell me how Bush's top-notch imitation of LBJ's "guns n' butter" spending policy hasn't caused a massive deficit. Because last time I looked, it had.
Or tell me how "conservative" it is to try and fuck with the Constitution to add an Amednment that REMOVES rights from a class of citizens.
What does it feel like, Ed, when you sell out? I want to know so if I ever do, I can jump off the nearest ledge and spare myself from living life as a puppet.

jaime,
let'snot make fun of the French issue.
i just want to know why they haven't renamed Paris, Texas Freedom, Texas. i mean if they can have French Toast renamed Freedom Toast on Air Force One, forget the fact that ti was made by some dude named French, do the people of Texas deserve less? And Rupert needs to change the name of his networks so i no longer have to call them faux news. And republicans need to lower the rancor so i no longer have to use the French word ressentiment in the Nietzschean sense to describe them.
