In an article on the EAC, Congressional Quarterly had this to say:
Instead, the Election Assistance Commission is now surrounded by controversy and tough questions. And the same lawmakers who could barely be bothered to pay attention to its creation four years ago are putting it under the microscope now.
And the National Journal reports:

It seems that the EAC has a Thor Hearnia 🙂
Dredd, that pun should be taken out and SHOT *L*
Still, I’m glad to see people FINALLY paying attention – or am I getting my hopes too high again?
I wasn’t sure where to put this, but this information needs to be spread far and wide. I have Working Assets long distance, and I was distressed to open my bill today to find that one of the national Citizen Letters for this month is supporting HR811, Rush Holt’s flawed election reform bill.
In case you don’t know about them, Citizen Letters are written by Working Assets staff about important political topics. Each monthly bill describes two national Citizen Letters, which will go to your named senator or representative or some other official, and one state Citizen Letter, which goes to a similar state official and deals with a topic particular to your state of residence. Subscribers can either agree ahead of time to send all Citizen Letters automatically or choose each month which one(s), if any, to pay to have Working Assets send on your behalf.
I have already sent a message to Working Assets at http://tinyurl.com/2ulclm, and I hope that many more of you, and especially Brad, will do so as well. Of course, I referred them to the extensive coverage on this blog, but I know for certain that they need to hear that over and over.
