The vote on HR 1591, a.k.a. "Conference Report; U.S. Troop Readiness, Veterans' Care, Katrina Recovery, and Iraq Accountability Appropriations Act, 2007" was 51-46 in the Senate.

Getting rid of the idiotic war is difficult, so cleaning up the defective EAC will be too.

The lemming like adhesion to bad policy on the part of the congressional republicans ... 98% of them voted against making Iraqis preeminent in Iraqi combat while shutting down US participation in their civil war over the next year or so. Those republicans want the US to be the main shooters, contrary to the will of most Americans.
