We didn’t pay attention or speak up, until after it was too late to save our democracy. Let’s not make the same mistake when it comes to saving the world’s greatest democratizer ever, the Internet, for the people.
Several weeks ago we ran a “Net Neutrality” video by SaveTheInternet.com. It explained the sitch, as we asked you to guess at the voices of the two characters in the amusing JibJab-style video. Nobody guessed correctly, so we’ll disclose that now. The voices were performed by yours truly (Brad Friedman), and Mimi Kennedy of both Dharma & Greg and Progressive Democrats of America fame.
Now, an FCC deadline of July 16th is quickly approaching. The latest video from SaveTheInternet.com, while not nearly as funny as the previous one, gives you marching orders on how to take action. You can send your opinion to the FCC right here.
We already lost democracy, and will likely be fighting for years to get it back from the private corporate interests who have claimed ownership of it. Let’s not let that same thing happen with The Internets…

Here’s what I said on the petition:
This has been the most bipartisan issue in America for many years. Everybody loves the freedom of the internet and have showed up to testify passionately with a common theme in their presentations. They are outraged that they have to keep fighting for their right to get their voices heard over the corporations who make the absurd assumption that “money is free speech.”
Please don’t take our one remaining avenue of political participation away.

I been running an ad on sacxtra for quite some time now on this. Sadly all the crap going on in our government right now has me really really really really burned out.
I am at the point where I HATE the senators, I am tired of babysitting, tired of calling, tired of writing about it.
On another note, for a small time I was also running the save internet radio ad on sacxtra. At this point I am so burned out, the only two things that matter are voting #1, and net neutrality #2.
There’s too much other crap going on to swallow, the attack on supplements, medical marijuana, the spp.gov bullshit, the patriot act, the….fuck it…

Governments should not be trusted with powers such as the ability to restrict freedom of speech. Governments are not real entities, but are human individuals acting alone or together to create the illusion of authority, where, in fact, little or none exists. We are mistaken to trust such illusions. There are ways to avoid doing so. We should work to increase our knowledge and skill in this achieving this goal.

I have left the local “news” organizations my name and phone number many times, and have never received ONE response from a “journalist” for my efforts, even though my state, Utah, provided a great deal of the evidence that election fraud at the highest levels was, (perhaps, but evidently not in a legal sense was happening, (my ass), occurring nationwide.
I truly want to be proud of my
