The WORLD wants Kerry for President!

Share article:

A new poll of 35 different countries around the world finds that 30 of them “clearly” support Kerry over Bush. Only three countries “clearly” support Bush (The Philippines, Poland and Nigeria). See the rest of the numbers at left.

But credit where credit’s due! After we found virtually the entire world to be on our side after 9/11, it wasn’t easy for Bush to turn things around as quickly as he did in just three short years! Well done, Mr. “President”!

I’m reminded of one of his quotes from the 2000 election debates: “If we’re an arrogant nation, they’ll resent us. If we’re a humble nation, but strong, they’ll welcome us.”

Gotta hand it to him! He was right on the money!

(Thanks to BRAD BLOG commentor Vance for reminding to post something on this!)

Tsk, tsk, to those 16% ….They are such a small percentage but their voices are so loud here in Canada. One in particular. His name is Stephen Harper and he may as well have fallen right from Bush’s butt. He is one arrogant sonnomabech.

Thanks for posting it. Too bad they didn’t take a poll in Iraq, eh? That would have been icing on the cake. Hope you don’t mind, but I’d like to bring this up at the blog of crap.

We have a saying in Texas "We don’t care how you do it up North". I certainly don’t give a rats behind what a bunch of herring eating Nowegians think. I doubt we ever had those people on America’s side just like we never had any of you on America’s side.

Ok Ed, so let me get this straight, you believe that the opinions of those who disagree with *you* don’t matter. Do you realize how arrogant and self-centered that view is?

I believe that diversity of opinion is the foundation of a free society. We (meaning the U.S.A.) play the role and are expected to be Leaders in this world. As Leaders, its our DUTY to listen to those dissenting views and understand the underlying frustration. We NEED the counterpoint in the debate to keep our actions honest.

Furthermore, we should use the poll for what it is: a reflection of how the world sees our country. When it comes down to it, it doesn’t tell us anymore than we already knew, which is that Our HOUSE IS OUT OF ORDER and we NEED NEW LEADERSHIP.

Again, Norway does not ask my opinion about who their president should be. Why would they? You only consider this relevant because they agree with you. I don’t consider it relevant because they live in another country. For that matter who are they asking?? How do I know any of these polls are legitimate?? The Leadership we have is doing the best they can and Kerry would not be an improvement. It is all about power with both parties. Only one can have and you don’t and you are pissed off about it. We all get our chance to vote in November so we will see what America thinks. I don’t care what any other country thinks whether they agree with me or not.

I agree with you Ed. If all of the countries were for Bush, they would say it does not matter what other countries think.

If the bloggers on Brad’s Blog were in America in the 1770s, they would be against the Boston Tea Party and would be for paying taxes to and under the control of England. They would not have fought in the War of 1812, the Alamo, Civil War, WW1, WW2, Vietnam, Cambodia, Korea, etc., because they are anti-war. They would protest, smoke dope, and move to Canada, eh! Protestors have the right to protest, but they are no heroes!

The French, Germans, and Russians were helping Iraq before and after the war. Russia is finally getting onboard the War on Terrorism. The French – have they surrendered already?

Today at lunch I had the choice of choosing between broccoli and carrots. I was told by a co-worker that the broccoli was grown by conservatives and they used pesticides. Because of those conservatives, we are at war and millions of people have been killed and billions of dollars have been spent when it could have been used for me to get a free lunch. The carrots, however, were grown by a homosexual California couple who love the earth. The carrots were also organic. The choice was difficult. I chose the potato salad.

Now Paul, I have been told not to assume what the other bloggers might believe about any other subject. Shame Shame on you!! You hatemongering, homophobic, Jew hating, neandercon.

    Ed,

Vile excuse for a human being

Paul, why is it that you guys are unable to support your own positions without making up strawman (and completely incorrect) positions for your opponents?

You do it. Bush does it. It’s the stock in trade for the morally bankrupt Right Wing, who’s arguments for what they believe in, are apparently so weak that they have no choice other than to make something up about their opponents.

Pathetic really. But by now, par for the course.

All bloggers on this blog who don’t smoke dope please stand up and be counted! All bloggers on this blog who have fought in a war please stand up and be counted!

If I were presented with a reasonably legitimate poll that said 85% of the world’s population preferred Bush to Kerry, I would have to regard it before dismissing it entirely. It would surprise me, and frankly sadden me, but I would have to give it some credence.

For the rest Paul, you don’t know any of the people on this blog, save Brad. Your claims are at best dubious and blindly judgmental. Mostly they are unsupported and irrelevant. However, I am glad you chose the potato salad for lunch, perhaps you’re more of a third-party guy than you might otherwise seem. I somehow doubt it, though…

Yes Ed, we will get to see in November what America thinks. I only wish more Americans were given unfiltered news and really given a chance to form their own opinon about it.

Paul, I find it distressing that you believe the bloggers here smoke and won’t fight. I’ll pass on the dope, but I’ll fight when I have to, when it means something, and its the right thing to do. My intent to join our active duty ranks after 9-11 was stopped by the following statement from my Bush voting, Vietnam Purple Heart/Bronze star father:

"I’ve seen enough war for both you and your brother. I didn’t do all that fighting nothing."

The President of the United States has never been popular and if you want to tell me Clinton was than that tells me everything I need to know about the rest of the world.

Any truth to the rumor Clintons arteries were clogged with pubic hairs of an overweight brunette??

Paul said on 9/11/2004 @ 4:37am PT: [Permalink]

Vance, I am just having a little fun. I thought that all liberals were dope smoking commie loving pacifists!

By the way, if you call a communist a communist, is that red baiting? Or is it just telling the truth?

Ed, Clinton "was" popular around the world because he was a party animal, a charismatic figure, and didn’t really do anything to worry anyone or challenge anyone. Socialists and communists both here and abroad should get along fairly well anyway.

I have always said that Clintonista may one day run the UN, which really bothers me, since I believe the US should get out of the UN and the UN out of the US. Thank you Bush for showing that the UN is irrelevant. We already knew they were inept.

Brad said on 9/11/2004 @ 9:33am PT: [Permalink]

Paul made a boob of himself (again) by saying:
"Thank you Bush for showing that the UN is irrelevant."

Except for that going to the UN on hands and knees begging them to come in and save his ass in Iraq.

Except for that going to the UN and asking *them* to stop the "on-going Genocide" (as the Bush Administration put it) in Sudan. The one similar to Saddam’s purge in the 80’s while Reagan was President, that we’ve removed Saddam for 20 years later (or so they try to tell us).

Is there nothing from Free Republic, NewsMax, WorldNetDaily, Fox, Sean and Rush that Paul can’t retype? And without informing himself of the *real* information first?

Apparently not. And so goes the country.
