It's looking mighty grim for the Mudville Nine, but if we can just get Al to pinch-hit for Ol' Casey there could be joy and music and love and peace in Pepperland once again (or maybe even for the very first time). Please, Al, it's your patriotic duty to save your nation!

I still don't understand why Clinton is the presumed front-runner when she's got the worst positive/negative of any of the three front-runners. What the hell's wrong with this party?

Well, folks, what are you willing to do about it? We've got to get the Draft in front of people, through letters to the editor, blogs, whatever. If you want Al Gore, blog about it, and mention the California ballot access drive (California4Gore.org), the Massachusetts one (DraftGoreNE.com, Mass4Gore.org), and the various national efforts (Gorehub.com, DraftGore.com, DraftGoreME.com, Netroots4Gore.com, AlGore.org, etc). Time is short if we're going to convince him to jump in. Call his office, and let them know you'll volunteer (615-327-2227, talk to Josh).
Bradblog folks should understand, it's US that make things happen. Let's do it.

Gore is not going to run, end of story.
Odds are very good that Ghouliani is going to steal the election in basically the same manner that Bush has twice. These treasonous bastards are not going to give up what they have worked to get for about 40 years. Expect the Bush crime syndicate to attack Iran within the next 6 months, the MSM will revert right back to total 100% complicity beating the war drums and a fake terrorist attack will be averted or quite possibly another staged false flag like 9/11 and viola` Insane Rudy goes straight to the top or at least close enough to make stealing it as easy as taking votes from a democrat.
Meanwhile American citizens will do absolutely NOTHING about it even though well in excess of 100+ Million know exactly what is going on.
That is of course IF there even is an election.
The only possibility of a true democratic win would be a Gore/Kucinich ticket in combination WITH 10s of Millions of damn mad American citizens in the streets talking back our MSM thus stopping the bullshit lies and cover ups.
In other words get prepared to have someone even more INSANE than Bush as Dictator in 08'.

Gore easily wins a four-way Democratic (primary) election after allocating the other 54% Democratic votes to Clinton, Obama, Edwards based on current polls. Assuming the other democratic 54% vote for Gore in the 2008 general election, he would defeat the generic Republican candidate in a 57-43% landslide.
1- Base Case Scenario: party-ID mix based on 2000 election. Gore draws proportionately (based on current polls)from HRC, BO, JE
2- Adjust party-ID mix: +3% Ind, -3% Rep
3- HRC wins 37% of Democrats; 20% of Independents
4- HRC best case scenario: 45% of Dems; 23% of Independents(Gore still wins by 3.6%)

The 2000 Election: Starting Point of the Analysis
In every election, millions of mostly Democratic votes are never counted – and are a significant contribution to the exit poll discrepancies. According to the 2000 Census, approximately 5 million votes were never counted. Since they were from heavily democratic minority districts, if Gore won 75% his true margin was close to 3 million votes - not the 540,000 recorded. And that does not include the very real possibility that a certain percentage of recorded Gore votes were switched to Bush.
The 2000 election was not even close, although the media would like us to believe it was. Only the 5-4 Supreme Court decision was close. Consider the Florida 2000 fiasco. Bush “won” by 537 “official” votes - before the recount was aborted. But 185,000 spoiled (under and over-punched) ballots were never counted. Since approximately 65% of them were intended for Gore, he actually won the state by at least 60,000 votes.
The 180,000 spoiled punched cards in Florida 2000 were just the tip of the iceberg. The election wasn't even close. His 540,000 official margin is another media myth. According to the 2000 Census, 110.8m votes were cast but only 105.4m recorded. So 5.4m votes were uncounted nationwide, of which 75% were for Gore. And don't forget those DREs and optical scammers. That's why Al Gore probably won by 4 million votes.

I tend to agree with that assessment. Not sure about the Iran angle since the U.S. is about at the end of its tether military-wise, but I could see another false flag terror attack in the U.S. to be blamed on "Al Qaeda", maybe in late September or October of next year, in time to get most lemming-Americans running around like chickens with their heads cut off, screaming for Rudi to "protect" them from the "terrorists". A distinct possibility. It would definitely make it even easier to rig. Either way I think "the powers that be" have already decided on Giuliani and ever since 9/11 he's been groomed as the successor to this awful misadministration. And of course no matter how blatant the "election" is rigged the Dems will roll over on command without a peep. And of course no matter how obviously contrived the next false flag attack is the Dems will back up the phony mythological propaganda version of it to the hilt, just like with the last one.
This country needs a real opposition party. Dems, either grow some balls and get real or get the hell out of the way so we can form a genuine leftist party.

Al Gore better qualified than any of the current Democratic candidates not only in experience but also temperament. The question is not if Al Gore deserves the nomination, but does America deserve Al Gore?
If there is a forgiving God in the Universe, then Al Gore will step forward to claim the nomination and subsequently his rightful place as President of the United States.
Imagine what a contrast a Gore presidency would be to what America and the world has endured for the past seven years!

I guess Clinton & Obama are not getting enough popular support, so the talk about Gore has been stirred up. There's also more talk about Dodd.
Fracture the vote and neither Edwards nor Obama can get a majority among these Dem candidates.
I think Obama isn't ready for Prime Time and Hillary is too far to the Right and Gore just doesn't want a tough race.
So, why don't people see Edwards as the obvious best candidate? He's certainly for the People and not for the Corporations. What more could Dems want?

The republicans will begin to believe in evolution:
The human race will one day split into two separate species, an attractive, intelligent ruling elite and an underclass of dim-witted, ugly goblin-like creatures, according to a top scientist.

The reason Hillary is the presumed Democratic candidate is that the "liberal" media keeps hammering us with that "inevitability". This is very similar to 2004 when Dean got off to such a strong start but the media suddenly annointed Bush's fellow Skull & Bonesman, John Kerry, as the Democratic nominee. Of course, we all have seen what Kerry's completely lackluster candidacy and quick "el foldo" in the face of overwhelming voter irregularities after the election tally has done for this country.
Hillary is acting like Bush in drag and whether it's because she actually believes what she is saying or she's trying to appeal to the knuckledragging wing of both parties, she's lost any appeal the Clinton name carried IMHO. I will vote for her if she's the nominee but I won't like it...
I like Al Gore but he's not the savior. If the Supreme Court decision had gone the other way in 2000 we'd probably have his choice of vice-president, Lieberman, as the anointed Democratic nominee for president now.

Let's face the brutal fact: the repukes are DESPERATE for Hillary Rodham-Clinton to win. The big-money boys are donating to her campaign
rather than to their own candidates. The corporate power-brokers are lining up behind her, including providing speechwriters and professional
apologists for "that man, Bill." The rightwingnut hate-talkingheads are making as much noise as possible about Obama's and Edwards' "attacks" on
Because they know she's the ONLY candidate they stand a PRAYER of BEATING.
Even Kucinich would make mincemeat of any of the criminal clowns in the repugnantcan field. Even Obama, with his lack of experience, would draw
out enough voters to hammer the stale pale males, while most of the stale-pale-male crowd would stay home in disgust. Even Joe Biden, best known for plagiarizing, could simply point and laugh at anyone in the bushdick field.
But R-C? Even Alan Keyes (oh, PLEASE) would only have to whisper "Hillary --- you know, HILLARY" as the dirty word they've worked so hard to make it,
and pseudo-intellectuals would desert the Democrats in DROVES.
Sure, R-C is a strong, intelligent woman, and could hold her own in the
international arena. But she's no more a progressive than Giuliani is.
And while a Rodham-Clinton vs. Giuliani contest might be entertaining as
all hell on a reality TV show, it would be a true end-times hellish
nightmare for the real world.
R-C is every bit as beholden to special interests as Mitt Romney, and if
she tried to attack him and his coward kids for their lack of any service
to the country, it would be open Faux Spews season on Chelsea --- the
corporate whore media would forget all about any meaningful issues, and go
back to playing soap opera.
R-C's voting record is considerably to the fascist side of Ron Paul's, and
about the only thing Ron Paul is known for is conspiracy theories.
In short, although R-C isn't an idiot, anyone supporting her is. The point
of this next election is to get the Bush family's chosen successor OUT of
power before they start WW3, NOT to give us another four years of phony scandals and manufactured obstructionism.
IT IS NOT A POPULARITY CONTEST. IT IS A SELECTION OF WHO NEXT GETS A FINGER ON THE NUCLEAR ARSENAL.
Not to mention who gets to replace the next Supreme Whore, all the
Department Heads and Secretaries, and what to do about the "signing
statements" that have already raped the Constitution to the point of
You can bet absolutely everything you own that the bushdicks have another
"terrorist attack" scheduled for ten months from now, with the intention
of "postponing" (indefinitely) any loss of power until they can flee the
country. The criteria you HAVE to base your selection on is, who will
stand up to them and call them on their bullshit?
Bill Clinton didn't. He had clear evidence of Bush One's treason and
crimes --- enough to have him tried and executed in public --- and he
declined to pursue it, "for the good of the country."
Or maybe because he was a short-sighted coward, because if he HAD gone
after Bush One and his co-conspirators, we would have been spared eight
years of inane charges and wag-the-dog attempts at impeachment, we would
have had a strong economy and agencies run by competent professionals
instead of corrupt cronies who couldn't even be bothered to interrupt
their dinner as Katrina destroyed the gulf coast. We would have been
spared another eight years of a whining, vicious, brain-damaged bullying
coward attempting to turn the country into his own personal kingdom, and
there would NOT HAVE BEEN any terrorist attacks.
Rodham-Clinton shares that baggage of spinelessness and being duped. No
one paying attention to what the Clintons let slip away, over the past
fifteen years, despite having the power to block ANY of it with the stroke
of a pen or a word to CNN, could possibly consider her competent to make
up for those failures now.
Gore shares that same baggage. He had clear reason to challenge the
Supreme Whore decision --- ten dozen legal experts called it outright
treason --- and demand everything from a hand recount of every vote in
Florida (complete with honest ballots instead of Katty Harris' carefully
deceptive ones), to a complete new election with international observers.
He just shrugged and walked off. "I didn't really want the job anyway."
Well, Al, you obviously didn't deserve the job in the first place. Who
believes you would "fight for" us, when you wouldn't fight for yourself?
I can't think of anything more disastrous for progressives than for your
lazy ass to slide into the campaign at the last minute, lose through some
illegal manipulation or other (like the one they keep trying in
California), AND THEN BACK DOWN AGAIN.
The Democrats need to quit treating this like a ratings grab, and start
working together to prevent ANY possibility of Dick Cheney suddenly
"retiring for medical reasons," and appointing one of the repuke
candidates in his place to become the "chosen successor." They ---
especially R-C --- need to stop thinking like Oprah, and start thinking
R-C is on an ego trip. That makes her little better than the bushdicks.
Obama is out to "prove himself." You don't "prove yourself" with empty
gestures and sound bites.
Your vote, and your decision, is your own, of course. But as a long-time
engineering analyst, who doesn't give a flying rat's carcass about polls
and popularity, here's my Dream Team:
John Edwards, president
Barack Obama, VP
Wesley Clark, SecDef
Hillary Rodham-Clinton, SecState
Al Gore, National Science Adviser
Bill Richardson, back to Energy Secretary
Joe Biden, Education
Dennis Kucinich, Interior or Health or Agriculture
Chris Dodd, Health or Housing or Labor
I base my decisions on the facts available, not on opinions. Bridges and
buildings and space shuttles don't care about opinions, and we're dealing
with a situation, worldwide, every bit as dependent on facts and informed
decisions as that bridge you drive across, or that rocket made of a
No doubt there are others equally qualified, but instead of wasting money
on banal advertisements attacking each other, a united front with CVs
demonstrating their qualifications, instead of their promises, would go a
long way towards energizing a public already sick of politics-as-usual.
We either get it together, or we lose it all.

"So, why don't people see Edwards as the obvious best candidate? He's certainly for the People and not for the Corporations. What more could Dems want?"
Well, my list is Gore, Kucinich, Edwards, not voting.. and Edwards is only on there because I think he -might- actually try to do something to chop down the mega-corps a "little".. As to the pasted question? I don't like Edwards because Edwards doesn't think "all men are created equal".. he's -against- equal rights for homosexuals, and I find that disgusting from a Democratic representative.
I really do hope Gore enters, but I'm not holding my breath. By the time he gets in office and starts making some hard-hitting changes to protect the environment, it will be WAY too late. We're probably 1 - 2 years from the point of no return. We're seeing some serious synergistic activities that were never put in the computer models... feedbacks that are going to topple this house of cards sooner rather than later. While Gore would be our man to help fix it, I fear that time is long past since his Presidency was stolen in 2000.
If neither Gore nor Kucinich nor Edwards wins the primary, I'll be abstaining from voting again this year. Well, depending on if someone comes out as an Independent or something, but I don't have much faith in the American Public voting off the 2 party system.. the masses are just too ignorant.

This is the first time in history that a global community has invested so much hope in one individual.
But, unless those who really have the power to influence the global theater of events, come to understand that to allow Al Gore to run and to allow Al Gore to win the election, would only benefit their global profit projections, it will not happen.
The current "Weltanschauung" or "wide world perception" is an awareness at a subconscious level of the tenuous balance point humanity has arrived at to date, that point at which the human race faces extinction just as myriad other species are becoming extinct. Why do you think humanity is procreating so rampantly?
If Al Gore is allowed to run and allowed to win the 2008 election it would really benefit global profit projections which are based on global population growth that is out of control and is really the root of the global warming crisis.
Al Gore has a global marshal plan that would emeliorate the global warming crisis so humanity could happily continue to procreate so ardently.
The individuals who really have the power to influence the global theater of events need to understand that the global community is badly in need of some hopeful turn of events as a counter balance to the prospect of another world war and mass extinction, so they will continue to "Buy More".
As President, Al Gore would provoke a Renaissance, of sorts, which would serve to stimulate economies that would replace a failed petroleum based global economy, so it is actually prudent to allow him to run for re-election and to allow him to win.

As far as I'm concerned , "none" of formal "contenders" (as presented to us so far) comes anywhere close to being "what we need" at this time in history. We need a real genuine "leader" --- an electable intelligent someone thats commands (and deserves) respect and has "some semblance" of a conscience and knowledge of the difference between right and wrong --- a person that isn't driven by fanaticism (of any kind) or corruption --- a person that can mend our hard-won standing in the world , both diplomatically and fiscally.
