It’s Day 2 of this week’s Guest Hosting adventure on the syndicated Peter B. Collins Show and it should be another fun one, even as we hope to have yesterday’s technical glitch, which disallowed us from taking callers, all worked out.
So while PBC enjoys his time off, we’ll again be BradCasting live from the studios of KTLK AM1150 in Los Angeles from 3p – 6p PT (6p – 9p ET). Hope you’ll tune in, call in, stream in, and blog in throughout the show.
My scheduled guests so far today (Tuesday) include…
- RON PRENTICE, CEO of the California Family Council. He’s working with the “Protect Marriage Coalition” to sponsor the “California Marriage Protection Act” [PDF] ballot initiative this November, which would amend the state Constitution to ban same-sex marriage here.
- GREG MITCHELL, editor of Editor & Publisher and author of the new book So Wrong for So Long: How the Press, The Pundits — and the President — Failed on Iraq
.
- JASON LEOPOLD, Peter’s regular weekly guest, investigative journalist and creator of The Public Record, joins us to discuss Scott McClellan’s planned testimony before the U.S. House Judiciary Committee, Impeachment, Jack Abramoff, and whatever else comes up.
- ELLEN BRODSKY, citizen Election Integrity advocate founder of the Broward Election Reform Coalition and a member of the Florida Fair Elections Coalition. Ellen is stepping up to run this year for Supervisor of Elections in Broward County, Florida.
- Plus Daily Voting News with JOHN GIDEON, a Green News Report from DESI DOYEN, YOUR calls, and much more!
Listen live on air, or via the Internets, and call in with your questions at 888-5-PeterB (888-573-8372)! Or post your questions here in this Open Show Thread and I’ll try to keep my eye on ’em while on the air!

Okay. Okay. Let’s get to it.
Hey Guys! Let’s do some radio! Should be a great show! 🙂
Well, that’s better! I am just darling and darn friendly indeed.
Sign the Kucinich Petition
DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
Yeah I am listening,
Absolutely correct Brad, and I agree with your on air edit of my sharp tongue..
Hey 99! Tech bugs worked out? Sounds like it so far! Phew…
I think your opening got a little snipped, but otherwise it sounds great…
SO FAR.
Hey, you can hear each other, and we can hear you too!
Love ya, Phil 😉
Question for your current guest:
If he and his group are so interested in the democratic process, what are they doing about the REAL threats to it?
I thought marriage was a state power. Not a “religious” power.
Which “REAL” threat, Em? (I don’t want to have to guess)
Just run down Dennis’ list……
I think the real reason he want’s this amendment on the ballot is
It offends everything *his* religion stands for.
The thing he don’t get is.
There are many religions out there.
Not just Christianity.
What it does is changes the Constitution to make *his* version of religion the law of the land.
I think we should abolish marriage in California. I don’t think the State should have any rights over people’s love lives. People who want to protect their legal rights with each other can register as domestic partners.
I just don’t like the idea of one religion having control over government — ultimately.
If people want to get married they should be able to. For whatever motivation. Financial, Family, or any other motivation.
I’m with you, Agent 99. But in the meantime, I’ll settle for the CA Supremes decision.
Brad! You gotta let Desi tell us all the green news! If yer gonna keep interrupting, give her segment more time!
Goddammit! Heckling is fine as long as we get the full scoop!
Pheh, 99. You’re such a curmudgeon! 😉
But darling and friendly curmudgeontude….
The Iraqi regime is coming to get us….
The men in the white coats have had to come for me, like, five or six times already… over this media incompetence… this fascist media.
You may want to check out how Larry Johnson’s blog has changed from a sort of non-partisan investigative one into Freeperland II (or maybe worse). It’s sole purpose now is to completely annihilate Barack Obama. You wouldn’t believe the hate and vile comments amassing up there, it’s like wading through a cesspool. My guess is Johnson is on the Hillary payroll. I am so glad I didn’t vote for her.
I bring this up particularly here because you are on his blogroll, so I thought you’d want to know.

If I were you, I’d want no part of that mess. Just sayin’.
I agree, Helen. It’s pretty scary over there. But anybody can put anybody on their sidebars, and even though they’re scary, they have a right to have their votes counted fairly.
Hey, electrical outages keep bumping me off the net….
Don’t say anything exciting while I’m gone. 😛
You missed the best stuff, 99! 🙂
At least I remembered to thank you today, which I do again now. Thank you!
Gotta get outta here. Thanks guys! I’ll have the archives up later tonight if ya missed anything. (They’ll be at Green960.com probably before then.)
What are you doing? Eating? You didn’t talk about me behind my back, did you? If you don’t get the archives up here, you can’t go on to the exciting new post, can you? Whaddabout that fabulous and exciting new post you promised us? I heard that. I heard that, didn’t I?
Yup, you heard that 99. And you get to wait like everyone else 🙂
Hey, I only eat once a day, so get off my back!
Wilbur and I enjoyed the Green news.
