    Check now to see if you’re registered. If you are, and then you’re not on the rolls when you go to vote, your rights have been violated, because it’s now too close to the election for legal purging of voter rolls. There are, however, states violating those laws (see BRAD BLOG from a few days ago about this).

    If you should be on the voter rolls and aren’t (whether or not you’ve previously checked), you must be given the option to cast a provisional ballot. Follow all the instructions carefully, including instructions about whether there’s a way you’re required to prove that you should have been registered within a specified number of days after the election. Then do the followup, including finding out whether your ballot was officially counted.

    Good question. If we could depend on the laws being followed, you shouldn’t have to check again. If you live in a place where you’re aware voter purges are going on, it’d be great to check daily because if you do get purged, you’d have very precise info about when it happened, which could actually help track who did it.

    Then, of course, there’s the question of how to pursue it if an illegal purge has happened. I’m not aware of any legal actions yet being taken about that, but there should be. Definitely contact an election integrity group or call 1-888-OUR VOTE if it happens, and try to get some justice!

    We went to Taste of China – Not outstanding, but pretty good. $10 gets you misc. Dim Sum, sushi, Mongolian BBQ, clams, scallops, mussels, several types of fish, several types of shrimp, about 8 other chicken and beef entrees, small salad bar, pizza, french fries, and a number of soups.

    My family is rather silly – going out to dinner usually turns into some kind of comedy.

    Tonight it was when elder daughter tried to steal a spoonful of pudding from my bowl and quickly put it into her mouth.

    Missed by a mile, we now nicknamed her “puddin face”.

    Fortunately the folks behind her had just left.

     John Fund didn’t get enough hugs from mommy when he was a kid. Seriously though, his overreaction to Brad probably indicates a feeling of guilt on his part and having to face it.

     That interview reminded me of a bit that was done on the Al Franken radio show some years ago where guest Bebe Neuwirth played an Ann Coulter-type character who constantly complained of being interrupted and not having a chance to talk, even when she had the floor.
