This is it. The day we have been waiting for.

The wet weather in some states has caused problems with paper ballots that have swollen enough to not work in optical scan machines. The ballots are being put in ballot boxes until they dry enough to be run. Voting machines in 8 Philadelphia precincts have failed and emergency paper ballots are being passed out.
Voting machines supplied for voters with disabilities have been removed from use by order of a court. The counties Hart Intercivic eSlates failed to register straight-party votes properly. …

Just a comment,
Having just returned from voting I must say in all the presidential elections or any election for that matter, ive never, ever waited or seen the type of crowd where Ive voted for the past several elections. I waited a good 90 minutes, in 2004 I recall be in & out of there in 10 – 15 minutes tops (the same exact location). Not that I consider myself old, 41, I saw a large number of people my age all the way down; furthermore I will admit to seeing more African American voters then ever before. I live in suburban Detroit Michigan in an area thats about 80% white 20% black, with a small % of other ethnic groups. The overall consistance of the polls for many weeks I think is a strong indicater; however after seeing what I saw today I would probably predict with a higher degree of confidence Barak Obama will win in a landslide. If I had to guess I would say it will 56% to 44% with somewhere around 350 electoral votes. The contested states might be closer, but he’ll take most of them plus dont be surprised if he takes a couple more we didnt expect.
thanks, 41 in suburban Detroit, MI
