The mainstream media and the criminal cabal it represents has told much more outrageous lies - like AWOL alcoholic/cocaine addict dur chimpfurher "won" 2 elections; that Iraq had WMD, was a threat to US, and was involved in 9/11; that a gang of misfits with box cutters defeated the most sophisticated air control and defense system in the world and brought down twin towers.

I could go on and on - point it this - a consolidated corporate media has proven that it is much more effectie to lie about what happens than to deny it.

Remember, they don't need the majority of Americans to believe their lies - they just need plausible denial at election time that will allow them to justify fraudulent elections.

It seems to be gaining traction: a disturbing trend.
With the economy in the toilet, there is a very real chance of a populist green style movement gaining ground, all the left really needs is a charismatic leader: thus the manufacture of the tea party movement led by neocons and guised as a populist movement.
Additionally one sees environmental activists once charged with property crimes such as vandalism and arson now being charged with terrorism and incarcerated in cmus, such as Daniel McGowan. One sees as well the increasing militarization here at home: Northcom, marine high schools in Atlanta and planned elsewhere, expansion of domestic spying, and lack of prosecution of those who have committed illegal domestic spying; and increasing militarization abroad: the escalation of the Afghanistan war, the spread into Pakistan, the giant new "embassy" planned for Islamabad, the first US soldier dead fighting in the Phillipines, where we reportedly only have an advisory military presence.
Before one knows it one will be living in a completely authoritarian police state designed to fund a circular process of waging war.
