Trailer: HDNet’s ‘Dan Rather Reports’ to Run Another Investigative Report on E-Voting Tuesday

In the summer of 2007 they ran one of the most extraordinary and explosive exposés on the topic we’ve ever seen. It included absolutely mind-blowing details on ES&S iVotronic touch-screens voting machines (the same ones currently failing in North Carolina and in Texas and being used in about 15 other states this year) and featuring an astonishing segment with seven on-camera employee/whistleblowers from Sequoia Voting Systems charging they were ordered by higher-ups to rig the chads to fail, only in Florida, on the paper ballots their company made for the 2000 election. You can (and should!) watch that remarkable report — picked up by absolutely nobody in the MSM, incredibly enough — right here.

This Tuesday, it looks like HDNet’s Dan Rather Reports is set to roll another story on hackable e-voting systems. Here’s the :30 second teaser for their latest…

The premiere showing will be Tuesday, Oct. 26th @ 8pm and is described this way on HDNet’s Dan Rather Report’s website:

Das Vote – As Americans prepare to vote-many of them by electronic machines-millions of Europeans are going back to paper and pencil. Germany is just one of three European countries to buy electronic voting machines, only to throw them out after hackers demonstrate their vulnerabilities. Also, one American’s fight against voting machines in his state.

With all the endless hours (upon hours, upon hours) the network and cable news mainstreamers like Chris Matthews have found to devote to the horse-race and politicking of these elections, you’d think they might be able to find more than just 19 seconds to cover the issue that can be, and so often has been, the deciding factor in so many recent elections. If you’d think that, you’d be wrong. 19 seconds is all Rather got on this weekend’s Chris Matthews Show to discuss the topic. [Hat-tip Heather at Crooks & Liars]…

UPDATE 10/27/10: The HDNet folks have responded to pleas to make the episode available for all (even those of us who don’t have it on their cable system!). The entire episode is now available here through next Wednesday only! Get it while it’s full, free and hot!

Otherwise, it’s also available here via iTunes for $1.99 according to Mr. Rather who was nice enough to let me know on the Twitters.

For folks with shorter attention spans, or those who need a little more encouragement, Rather blogs about the episode here, and here’s a 2.5 minute video clip featuring the great Frank Heindel, patriot Election Integrity advocate of South Carolina, who is (as he notes in comments below), the one alluded to when the description above says “one American’s fight against voting machines in his state.”

Your South Carolina audience will appreciate this Dan Rather Reports episode.Part of it involves my work this summer trying to understand more about our state’s voting system.

Congrats, Frank! Delighted to hear that you’re the one referred to in the above description as “one American’s fight against voting machines in his state.”

For those who don’t know, Frank has been doggedly pursuing public records requests from officials in SC following the still-inexplicable “election” of Alvin Greene as the state’s Democratic U.S. Senate nominee, on the state’s failed, 100% unverifiable ES&S iVotronic touch-screen systems during the primary there last June.

You can peruse some of the fruits of his terrific work right here…

“After this election there may be more talk of that (going back to paper and away from electronic vote casting/counting) in this country.”

Unfortunately, after this election it will all be over.

The corporate-owned Rethuglican Party is poised to steal in a massive way at the local and state levels and gain control over state legislatures for the purpose of controlling re-districting. They will use the “anger” and “Tea Party” memes that their corporate-controlled media have been jamming down our throats as “cover” if anybody even bothered to notice.

Oh, and they already did their dirty work to “discredit” Rather half a decade ago.

This chess game has been so well played from the start, you almost have to give the criminals credit.

Dan Rather, if you’re reading this, I hope you enjoyed my book and look forward to another great expose.

Election Fraud has been exposed by Brad Friedman and other activists in their investigative pursuit of the truth. And that is what a true journalist like Dan Rather is all is all about. They are an extinct species in the MSM.

Who in the MSM dares talk about Election Fraud? Olbermann did right after the 2004 theft, but he has been in lockdown ever since.

Steve Freeman (“Was the 2004 Election Stolen?”) and Mark Crispin Miller (“Fooled Again”, “Loser Take All”) wrote about election fraud in their classic books.

The mathematical proof is in my book, “Proving Election Fraud”.

Here is my comment, posted at Huffpost:

IMHO this “report” is an example of extremely shallow research. American courts have examined with sharp scrutiny and care the very claims that Rather presents as given truths. The difference is that the courts have rejected the claims, a fact that Dan does not appear to know. In Maryland, the state’s DREs where challenged as being unreliable, and after extensive expert testimony the judge completely sided with the government. This year a New Jersey court also rejected a petition for an injunction after extensive expert testimony on both sides. One “expert” can be seen on You Tube hacking a DRE. But what the video doesn’t say is that he had to get the source code by a court order before he could pull off the “hack.” There is also a video on You Tube of a lady getting sawed in half. The judge in New Jersey was distinctly unimpressed by the anti-evoting “expert’s” video.

Dan appears to have been duped by professional paper pushers into taking their line, hook and sinker!

    William Kelleher @ 7:

I’ve warned you time and again about posting uncited, disinformation here. I don’t have time to debunk all of your bullshit this time around, but for those wondering about the reference to Maryland’s voting system, I have no clue what court Kelleher is talking about (because he didn’t have the courtesy to link to any of his ridiculous claims) and I couldn’t care less about them in any case.

If you want to know what is wrong with Maryland’s 100% unverifiable Diebold touch-screen systems, you can take a look at Maryland’s own report on them which they commissioned from SAIC and then withheld from the public until The BRAD BLOG got it’s hands on the unredacted version: https://bradblog.com/?p=3731

It’s described as “The Pentagon Papers of E-Voting” for good reason as you’ll see when you read the link above.

Dr. Kelleher, because you don’t have the decency to either follow our rules for posting here OR tell the truth, I’m sorry to say you’re posts will now have to be moderated before they are posted and they will be deleted if they contain more unsupported and unsupportable and misleading garbage.
