Haven’t listened yet but thought I would bring you some depressing news.
Had argument with right-winger today. They brought up Acorn thing as demonstrative of how fucked up our politics are. Not because of fraud, but they legitimately thought that they had done that shit. i tried to explain the videos were doctored, but would not listen. Would not bring up but featured prominently on site. Mentioned Maddow expose that actually showed clips of videos, they automatically dismissed for stupid reasons.
To my knowledge California ones and Brooklyn and Philly, turned out to be transparent frauds where people either did not say things AT ALL/went along but joke/called cops right afterwards. Also what was the exact down low on the Baltimore ones? I ask because, well, Maryland in the house.
Does it bother you that we just can’t seem to win sometimes.
Also, noticed do not have individual e-mail address what is deal with that.

(Hint: It was ACORN themselves, as they were the ones who were defrauded! ACORN themselves check every registration to make sure its valid, and flag those that appear to be fraudulent before turning them in — as they are required to do by law.)

I’d have to go back in to the transcripts to start breaking down the MD failure specifically for you. But, suffice to say, there were no criminal charges there either. Now why do you (or your RW friend) suppose that is? 🙂
As I listened to your show, about the OWS in Frisco, and how the police swept through at 3 am, it reminded me of how the same thing is being done in Iraq, Afganistan, and other areas of American influence. I know the people in Iraq and Afganistan really hate that, and it is recruiting fighters. I think this will hurt the authorities by recruiting more protesters. This fight has just begun.
