Hearings to Begin Next Wednesday! This Round Focusing on Ohio!
*** A BRAD BLOG EXCLUSIVE! ***

As reported exclusively last night on The BRAD BLOG, the U.S. House Judiciary Committee Democrats have minutes ago officially issued a press release announcing public hearings will be held on the Hill next week in regards to Voting Irregularities in Ohio.

Witness to testify (detailed below) include the three names mentioned in our report last evening, along with many other notable players in this saga.

The full text of the "Press Advisory" is at the bottom of this item.

As well, The BRAD BLOG can further report that Judiciary Committee staffers are working on additional investigation concerning matters in Ohio and other states. Details will be forthcoming, including additional supplemental material added to the thorough 15-page letter sent yesterday to Ohio Sec. of State J. Kenneth Blackwell requesting explanations for the many troubling reports of voting irregularities and tabulation in the Buckeye State. (See this previous BRAD BLOG article for detailed excerpts of that original letter.)

I'd estimate the odds of Blackwell showing up to be somewhere between 0 and 0.125%. Hopefully, even without people like him there it will be more than just a "sausage fest" of voting rights activists. Is there anything to entice or compell Blackwell to show up? Clearly he doesn't care about his reputation with non-GOP.

Is this appeasement? Is this just another way to get Brad and all of us who think something is really wrong to shut up?

If they come back with "inconclusive evidence" or "nothing went wrong with the Ohio vote" we'll know they're just trying to shut us up.

I'm hoping this is the next Watergate.

This is far worse than any Watergate. This is treason in its most heinous and far-reaching form. This, if allowed to stand, marks the end of the concept of "one citizen, one vote" that is the core of American democracy.

You'd think such an issue would merit some media attention, wouldn't you?

Of COURSE the media doesn't report it. And they won't report it on Wednesday either. according to George Lakoff (Don't Think of an Elephant) --read it, by the way-- a frightening 80% of the talking heads in the mainstream media are veterans of Conservative think tanks.

80%...

Now THATs balanced and open discourse.

i wouldn't go so far as to call this treason; i think that's a right wing tactic used to shup people up. Certainly this is a hi-jacking of the republic; a fixing of the results before the election is even held and attempts at misdirection after the fact. Think about the fourth estate. Mostof its politicalcommentary comes either from insiders in right wing think tanks. as Eric reminds us, or apparatchiks of oneparty or another. There is no voice in the msm of the people, by the people and for the people. This phenomena expresses itself in the odd combination of the libertarians and greens acting in concert. That is why this blog and writing congressmen is so important. i cant emphasizeenough that there ARE decent congress people. There are those who will hold the neandercons feet to the fire. Rep. Conyers is certainly one of these people. For a full list of pipe hitting congressfolks cut and paste the link.

These are the people that need to be tops on your list. They need to know they are being supported. If you are up to writing, you may also want to visit the congressional black caucus.

Combined these two groups have a total of about 70 non-overlapping members and seem to be the only people interested in voting rights.

I've looked at the source code for the program, and its a complete fake you guys. Not only that, IT WASN'T IMPLEMENTED. So what, a congressman got someone to develop a program to commit vote fraud...its not going to change the course of an election in Ohio when the congressman is from FLORIDA! Nobody has any proof whatsoever of vote fraud, yet everyone just seems to be an "expert" on the subject.

Jebus..and what are your expert credentials? In case you haven't heard there has been a several lawsuits filed in Florida...in regards to this election, as well as the last. Are you saying software is not easily transported?..... It hasn't been proven one way or the other, yet, at least not by experts, not that I have heard (I could be uninformed if its a brand new "post", since this morning)....although, experts have a tendency to disagree also..guess it might depend on which GOP "think tank" the expert attended. Why is every one so afraid of an audit, a re-count? Is it costing any tax payers dollars? The very idea that they are resisting, squawking about questioning their integrity, etc...makes me suspicious..our elections are supposed to be transparent, why are they trying so desperately to "cover it" up..with smoke screen and insults? And how about all the other accusations...voter disenfrinchise, intimidation, deception..etc. shouldn't those problems be addressed? Or do you believe in voting rights for "white only, male only, Republican leaning individuals?"
