What whiny little loser brats!!!!
Hah!!! It backfired on them again. :laugh:
These morons all voted YAY for their own bill, and the democrats voted NAY or present!
So who's the "cut and run" party of the hour....the chicken-hawk republican fascist morons once again.
I guess this was Richard Pombo's warmup before he has to testify before a Jury??
These idiots are completely burying themselves! Democrats should just shut down the Congress and force a vote on Murtha's REAL resolution and then go to town on the voting rights issue.

Remember Jean Schmidt who attacked Paul Hackett?
House GOP Seeks Quick Veto of Iraq Pullout
[snip] Murtha offered a resolution that would force the president to withdraw the nearly 160,000 troops in Iraq "at the earliest practicable date." It would establish a quick-reaction force and a nearby presence of Marines in the region. It also said the U.S. must pursue stability in Iraq through diplomacy.
But House Republicans planned to put to a vote _ and reject _ their own symbolic alternative resolution that simply said: "It is the sense of the House of Representatives that the deployment of United States forces in Iraq be terminated immediately."
With stinging rhetoric, Democrats criticized the GOP alternative. They said House Republican leaders killed Murtha's thoughtful approach.
The fiery, emotional debate climaxed when Rep. Jean Schmidt, R-Ohio, the most junior member of the House, told of a phone call she received from a Marine colonel.
"He asked me to send Congress a message _ stay the course. He also asked me to send Congressman Murtha a message _ that cowards cut and run, Marines never do," Schmidt said.
Democrats booed and shouted her down _ causing the House to come to a standstill.
Rep. Harold Ford, D-Tenn., charged across the chamber's center aisle screaming that it was an uncalled for personal attack. "You guys are pathetic. Pathetic," yelled Rep. Marty Meehan, D-Mass.
~~~ Yahoo! You tell 'em Rep. Ford! What a day! ~~~
Funny.. they take one jar-head (it's been my expierence that most get pretty well brain-washed in bootcamp) and one jar-head colonel and say "these two and the rest of America and the rest of the world".. like those two somehow speak for the other 6 billion of us..
Not to mention, all the polls point to America wanting to get OUT of Iraq, and the polls in Iraq make no question of it, they want us out too.
I hate Repugs.. and I hate stupid bitches (and assholes) that lie and distort to get their way. Swing 'em all..
The democrats have a chance to vote tonight on their heart's desire. Why be upset with the wording. They do desire to cut and run as soon as possible...don't they? Every utterance suggests they can't wait to be like the French socialist/marxists. The bitching about it seems to be just rhetoric don't you think?
Ouch. Touched a nerve there did I? Getting out IS "cutting and running", stupid. I was demonstrating for my nephew how elegantly socialists respond to a comment that reveals them as little frenchys, except the French can speak in civil language. It worked. Hugs from the French, the Bathists, etc.. ( You DO know who the Bathists are....?) Well, maybe not. Anyway don't you know the Marines regret having to keep your fat out of the fire given your pacifist positions. By the way, Brilliant, these are VOLUNTEERS, many who lose a limb and go back to Iraq...so you can bitch about it.
Your side wins? Maybe I'm wrong, but it looks to me
more like your side cheats and claims victory.
Murtha himself calls for a vote against the bastardized
version of the resolution he authored. Looks to me
like this needs to be voted down and reintroduced.
Dear Sounc Bite Truth Not Found,
I think " Whooh, my side is toying with your side before my side wins" is a pretty original thought, actually. It is also true contrary to the popular kool aide drinking going on here, among those of you who have NO ONE in Iraq who ARE your children..umm....I forgot about Sheehan so perfectly perched on the body of her son howling against his re-enlisted appearance in Iraq. HE was a great American...she...well, paint your own picture, I'm sure you would anyway.
The Republican Party proved once again just how juvenile it is by putting on this stupid show in congress today.
Jean full of Schmidt but low on ethics (a prerequisite for being in the Republican Party these days?)
(Thanks to Fire Dog Lake for the lovely photo)
Wikipedia.org
During the campaign, Hackett hammered on Schmidt's ethics. When she denied she knew or ever met Thomas Noe, the coin dealer at the center of a state investment scandal at the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation, Hackett produced minutes from a meeting of the Ohio Board of Regents that showed Schmidt had indeed met with Noe, once a member of the Board of Regents.
Hackett was also highly critical of his opponent's record. He called attention to Schmidt and other members of the Ohio General Assembly having accepted dinners and Cincinnati Bengals tickets from a lobbyist for pharmaceutical company Chiron, Richard B. Colby, on October 24, 2004 and failing to report the gifts on their financial disclosure statements.
Ok, for some humor. One of my patients at the VA sent this to me. We always are told that veterans love Bush. I work with veterans and I just don't see it. He is basking in a 35% approval rating until tomorrow when it will drop to 33%. :0)
Battle Hymn of the Republicans
(to the tune of the Battle Hymn of the Republic)
Mine Eyes have seen the bungling of that stumbling moron Bush;
He has blathered all the drivel that the neo-cons can push;
He has lost sight of all reason 'cause his head is up his tush;
The Doofus marches on.
I have heard him butcher syntax like a kindergarten fool;
There is warranted suspicion that he never went to school;
Should we fault him for the policies --- or is he just their tool?
The lies keep piling on.
Glory! Glory! How he'll Screw Ya'!
Glory! Glory! How he'll Screw Ya'!
Glory! Glory! How he'll Screw Ya'!
His wreckage will live on.
I have seen him cut the taxes of the billionaires' lone heir;
As he spends another zillion on an aircraft carrier;
Let the smokestacks keep polluting --- do we really need clean air?
The surplus is now gone.
Glory! Glory! How he'll Screw Ya'!
Glory! Glory! How he'll Screw Ya'!
Glory! Glory! How he'll Screw Ya'!
Your safety net is gone!
Now he's got a mighty hankerin' to bomb a prostrate state;
Though the whole world knows its crazy --- and the U.N. says to wait;
When he doesn't have the evidence, "We must prevaricate."
Diplomacy is done!
Oh, a trumped-up war is excellent; we have no moral bounds;
Should the reasons be disputed, we'll just make up other grounds;
Enraging several billions --- to his brainlessness redounds;
The Doofus marches on!
Glory! Glory! How he'll Screw Ya'!
Glory! Glory! How he'll Screw Ya'!
Glory! Glory! How he'll Screw Ya'!
No, Rita.. You didn't "touch a nerve", you showed why brain-dead closed-minded self-serving pricks are Republicans, that's all.
Your complete lack of understanding of the English Language (well, complete lack of being willing to not bastardize it to your liking) is exactly what makes you such a shitty human being. See, "cut and run" is using distinct mental images to try and illicit an emotional response, the last bastion of pathetic shit-bags who have no VALID point, so they try to sway thought by appealing to emotion. Gongrats on your lack of ability to discuss things rationally.
As for your "volunteers", did you ever notice how -most- of those volunteers are "poor"? oh, only enlisted though, rich kids go to college and get comissions and much better treatment. See, even in the "volunteer" army, rich people have it better than poor people.. And, let's not forget that your "rich people are better" policy makes military service (in peace time) such an appealing job.. well, the military is better than no job, right? Not that I'd guess you have the capacity to understand that.
Also, what's wrong with being a pacifist? See, it's onlyl those people who are on the lowest of the evolutionary rungs that see "violence" as the "best" option. Ignorance and might and raw animal instict drives that thought process. As a higher level of animal, we're supposed to be above that. Going out and punching someone in the face "because you can" or "you want them to change" is considered reprehensible and is illegal, even on the "world stage".. yet, what you are saying is, "getting aggressive is FUN! fuck you guys that want to talk and reason and do what's best for everyone and keeps the most people alive! BLOW SHIT UP!!".. Sorry, not only is that costly in both human and financial terms, history has shown that it's not very effective as a means to effect change. Also, I served in the military.. I'm not exactly a "pacifist" in the negative connotation you are trying to drudge up, but I -do- believe we should talk first.. fight last.. You and the morons still support Bush are of the mind "I can do what I want when I want and you can't stop me.. anyone that says there's a better way is a pussy!"..
And what is it with you idiots and all this crap about the French? I don't understand why you anti-American frootloops keep bringing them (or any other country, for that matter) into this. And yes.. I know what the "Bathists" are.. They are the party YOUR MORON REPUKES supported back in the 80's.. the ones that we help put Saddam in power.. remember? Oh, I"m sorry.. did that blow up in your face?
And, as far as "civil" language, why should I waste civility on someone as socially, mentally, morally, and otherwise trashy as you? I see no point in it.. and what's funnier is, 80% or MORE of our country speaks with such explitives alllll the time.. Only the fringe right-wing-religious-psychos pretend not to (sorry, when you get upset or hurt, saying DANG is no different than saying DAMN.. SUGAR! is no different than SHIT!, and FUDGE is no different than FUCK!.. I find it amusing that stupid people seem to think there's a difference). So.. take my lack of "civility" and shove it right up your ass .. with your head
We refer to the French when speaking of you because it is apt, (that means "it fits"). Oh.. just a few "clarifications"..
cut and run means "dropping everything and routing".. no, don't want to do that. Want to have a orderly withdrawl of troops.. You know, what we'll eventually have to do anyway, but why wait? We've done what we set out to do (well, according to several of the versions of why we're there). They have a Constitution, they are going to vote on a new government, they have a police force in place and military.. Time for us to start leaving, don't you think? Since we have to do it ANYWAY, at some point, why not start now? with an ORDERLY WITHDRAWL OF TROOPS.. not a "turn tail and run", an orderly.. aw screwit.. you're too stupid to get it if I have to keep spelling it out..
Second. Just because "some troops" like being there and blowing shit up doesn't mean "all the troops" do, nor does it even mean "it's the norm", nor does it even mean there's a "significant number" of troops who support being there. Have you missed the bit about all the Iraq Vets who WANT US TO LEAVE? Though, I'm sure you will just call them Frenchies or something, right?
Anyway.. clearly you are a troll. Nothing good ever came from a troll.
I would love to stay and play, but I am on call and just got beeped. In closing I would like to leave this from a letter by John Kerry:
It disgusts me that a bunch of guys who have never put on the uniform of their country have aimed their venom at a marine who served America heroically in Vietnam and has been serving heroically in Congress ever since. No matter what J.D. Hayworth says, there is no sterner stuff than the backbone and courage that defines Jack Murtha's character and conscience.
Dennis Hastert --- the Speaker of the House who never served --- accused Jack Murtha of being a coward. Well let me tell you, Jack Murtha wasn't a coward when he put himself in harm's way for his country in Vietnam and earned two purple hearts --- he was a patriot then, and he is a patriot today. Jack Murtha's courage in combat earned him a Bronze Star, and his voice should be heard, not silenced by those who still today cut and run from the truth.
Yeah.. terribly sad that such intellectual gnats can be teachers, but hey.. it's a shitty paying job and pathetically easy to become one. What do you expect?
Oh, and Reagan, I believe, was running the show during Iran-Contra.. and wasn't it Rumsfeld that went to shake hands with Saddam? And, I'm not exactly a fan of "Democrats" when they suck on the same poisoned corperate tits as Repugs, so your "dems are not nice either" pap carries now weight with me, sorry.
As for "france burning", you DO know it's because they ignore their poor, right? Just like YOU do.. Just like the "rich corperate puppets" running our government do, right? Make it so the poor can't take care of themselves, and they WILL come to YOUR house and kill you for your loaf of bread. And as to "who was in charge" with New Orleans, that would be some stupid fucker who was a horse judge selector, remeber? your moron president appointed a totally unqualifed jerkoff to run the show that should have been getting ready for that hurricane.. instead, you, your president, his horribly unquallified cronies, and a system that doesn't care about poor people.. they let those folks down in New Orleans, not "democrats".. Perhaps there's a decent amount of "blame" to be handed to the "democratic leaders of New Orleans", but that's not a "party", nor is it a valid assesment to try and demean (that's "reduce in worth")an entire party because of one person's failings. See, when the entire Republican party gives the president a pass, that's different than one person doing something wrong. President Bush being incometent wouldn't be all that bad for the Republican Party if the rest of them weren't useless shitballs and would actually take care of his bumblings. Instead, they capitulate (that means "to give in") to his failings, which reflects on the entire party.. And, anyone "supporting" Bush does the same thing. Amazingly, I've seen a lot of "republicans" walk away from your party over the past few months. They finally got tired of being embarassed by Shrubby and his goon squad. You're the laughing stock of this country, and Fance, if that makes you feel better.
Oh.. I had a 6th grade teacher who was an alcoholic and abused kids in my class (threw a book at me once, got her dismissed from teaching the 6th grade).. they moved her to the 2nd grade the next year, then fired her for smacking kids.. seems the little kids knew she was a useless bitch but that, for some reason, offended her. Glad she got fired though.. let me know that there is at least a -little- justice in the world. Now, if we can only get rid of the rest of the hate-mongers in the world, things will be peaceful again..
Jeepers.. I forgot to talk to the "cheating" part.. Rita, I hope when your husband cheats on you (let's face it.. someone like you? I'm sure he's been cheating for a long time..), just smile and say "I know... crocodile tears, right?".
In case you didn't notice, cheating is what pathetic little scumballs do when they can't win by playing "fair". Why play "fair"? Well, it's this little thing called LAW.. see.. and when you "break the law" (that's "cheating"), you go to jail. When you "cheat" over something that "isn't law", you show you don't have a valid position.. valid being what "normal healthy rational sane" people understand. In the land of make believe where burning kittens and stealing is ok so long as you don't get caught, there might be no reason to be "valid", but here in the real world, where people's lives, feelings, livelyhoods are at stake, it's ALL that matters. We live in a world where lies don't cut it and truth (a.k.a. reality) is all that matters. Your sides "cheating" shows that they are lying and being dishonest. You know, like the kids you teach who spit on other kids, steal their lunch money, beat them up.. oh, wait.. I'm guessing you want to have sex with those ones, right? I mean, we see teachers going to prison for having relations with kids, I fathom they must be the same kind of nut-jobs as you.. you know, the ones who say "crocodile tears, right?" when your hubby tells you he's leaving you for that 18 yr. old that's been babysitting for you, so you act out with your students? Well, maybe having sex with them is beyond even you.. perhaps you just cheer them on for being the stronger kids and not "cutting and running", right? Hate to see the poor victims when they run away... you must laugh your ass off..
This type of remark calls for a promotion in the Bushit Administration. Being a Republican from OHIO, one of the 4 stolen states that decided 2 time election loser George Bush should be our king, you really showed Americans where you stand on perpetrating a war where we have become the main target. The Bushit lies which brought us to war has united people against America who see the Fascist vulgar display of force for what it is and makes this country more vulnerable to a terrorist attack with passing day. What I can't understand is why our modern Congress is so full of cunts like you. Rita, I guess I don't understand how you come to the conclusion that I have a strained relationship with my parents.. Perhaps you are reflecting? And I'm not medicated, I'm sane and understand right from wrong, unlike most Republicans (though, to be fair.. they -understand-, they just don't care.. they feel they are above "rules" and "laws".. that only applies to the "peasants" (that's "poor people").. right?)
Anyway Rita, we see your kind of ignorance come and go around these blogs. Interestingly (well, not all that interesting for those of us with some brains), trolls come out more on articles that don't have quite the explicit statement of "truth" that they so hate.. They tend to come in on threads where they can spew some demeaning (that's.. oh, wait.. we did this one) crap, poke at the old "dems suck dems suck" dead horse, then tralala on their merry little way.
What would be damn funny is if all the Dems had stuck together and the Repugs all supported their "ignorant attack" of a resolution and got stuck actually having to "cut and run".. course, they'd just hold another special vote to "undo their ignorance".. Sure am glad my tax dollars are being spent so wisely .. those Repugs, gotta love their fiscal responsibility..
I just added my name to Bill O'Reilly's Blacklist. I encourage all of you left-wing, liberal moonbats (and any other name he wants to call you) to go to the Huffingtonpost and join the list.
So good old slave driver Rita shows the true colors of the republican party on national TV, and gloats about the fact she's an ignorant rich self-obssessed bigot?
Is this for real?
You've outed yourselves now, haven't you? Is Michael Scanlon's forray into jail going to drag all you "religious conservative whackos" with him?
Voting for full withdrawl showed that these cowards are all cut and run on national TV, your vote backfired!!!!!
Funny how Represenative Murtha's resolution hasn't even been brought up? Probably because it was rational and used an actual timetable, rather than a rich-man's fraudulent legislative bill which would have done none of the above.
Surprise! They really do do the mugshot :laugh:
Awww, are they getting hot under the collar because the legal system is on their ass!???
Maybe these jokes of sop should have thought ethics, well, since last year. Jack Abramoff and all the lawbreaking members of Congress have made that absolutely evident.
And then we have slimy crooks like Diebold. I guess that's all that is left in the republican party, time for an enema....
And now the bill has failed as intended, and the pullout is rejected. Bastards. But that kind of chacanery is to be expected by Republicans. i am equally as pissed at the Democrats who have no backbone. Hate to say it, but that's why I joined the Greens. Too many Dems are more interested in their own political expediency that in standing up for what's right. They sure got snookered on this one. Bet Rita's pretty fucking smug right now.
Soul Rebel: It was a sham bill bud
I'm an independent and could see this whole bill and debate was a sham to begin with. It has nothing to do with Murtha's bill, which was to gradually draw down troops and James Murtha's bill has never even come up for a vote.
They are going to bring it up for a vote after the discharge petition. The Pentagon has already given official notice, that the withdrawl plan has begun (so they're hypocrites also...)
Murtha is no more a "war hawk" than John Kerry. He supported the war when it was popular and has now returned to the liberal/anti-war reservation after it's turned bitter. The cowardice in the halls of Congress is appalling. We need to jack up the war, not pull out, so the Iraqis will have adequate time to build up their own army to deal with the terrorists. To do anything less will abandon the ones we saved to forces of evil at least as despicable as Saddam.
Funny thing is, Soul Rebel, she's likely smug, but over a non-win, over a joke, a farse.. but, for those idiots, that's enough.. To be able to dance around and chant "we win we win we were right", -despite- the truth, that's all they have.
This was a joke, a totally useless excercise by the Repugs to try and prove a point, but all they "proved" was that they are a bunch of childish morons content to piss away MORE tax dollars over MORE bullshit.
Notice how they are all so spineless as to allow Murtha's -actual- proposal to come to the floor? They can't have that because it would be a near full party split vote. Dems for, Repugs against.. Then, let's say Shrubby or Cheney gets indicted over Plame, and that "Phase II" investigation ends up saying Shrubby, Cheney, Rummy, KindaSleezy actually -did- withold vital information from Congress, -did- mislead them to war.. Then they would have to talk about impeaching shit-bag.. and the 2006 elections would put them all in the dog-house. With this, they can point fingers and go "neener neener neener.. you didn't get a vote on pulling out, we win we win we win".. hoping if they chant that loud enough and long enough that people will forget about all the criminal trials going on in the GOP lately..
Smug? yeah.. retarded people get smug when they fart in the pool and everyone looks at the other kid.
Kevin Mark is a classic example, a total dropout moron who didn't go to school, doesn't know what war is, and doesn't give a shit.
In the words of Paul Hackett: "SHUT THE HELL UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Thank you. Nobody was making anyone any safer, Hackett's words not mine: "If you believe in it, go join the damn war!!! Unless you're a chickenhawk like your commander."
And they ring truer to this day with James Murtha speaking out.
There was no terrorism all over Iraq until we got there: What a surprise, and there's hardly any real terrorists there now.....
It doesn't matter if we withdraw, since there was no real threats there to begin with, and the ones that are will be dealt with by international tribunals...
Obviously in the end, the whole war, and the vote on it was a pack of lies. So were the threats, so were the democracy, so was everything else. Balkanization is the only reason they're there and the Israeli militia wants to use it to balkanize the whole middle east. So its about time to end that pack of lies and throw it into the history of criminal societ, along with Diebold and all the other corrupt freaks....
And then its time to deal with all the traitors properly, in full view of the Hague.
For aunty rita's nephew ,she'll be proud when he's in his uniform and shipping out to bring freedom to Iraq.
Fact: Gore won the 2000 elections (college and popular vote)
Fact: 911 had NO connection to Iraq
Fact: 58,000 American soldiers where killed by the enemy in Viet Nam
Fact: GWB has NEVER allowed unscripted question to be asked by any reporter.
Fact: GWB never run a single company that succeeded on its own merits.
Fact: GOP operatives/supporters own ALL e-voting machine companies.
Fact: GOA report warns of security issues with e-voting machines.
Fact: Al Qaeda means “database”
Fact: Al Qaeda is a CIA construct ,originally
Fact: 911 had NO connection to Iraq
Fact: 58,000 American soldiers where killed by the enemy in Viet Nam
Fact: The memory of any dead soldier IS NOT HONOURED by the needless death of more soldiers.
Fact: GWB said “force” was the “LAST” option.
Fact: Weapons inspectors where correct.
Etc.
Sometimes the truth is too hard to except and “the party line” is a convenient shelter to rally behind in order not to see the “truth”.
err...LIE DETECTER...
it's actually Lie Detector if you want to complain about spelling on a blog - unfortunately this blog does not allow people to go back and edit posts. Yes, I am a high school teacher. And yes, you can go fuck yourself. How's that for potty mouth? Trust me, I'm competent and I reach kids. And I encourage them NOT to sign up for the military, and to fill out their Opt-out forms, and to go to war protests, and to generally know their rights and stand up for themselves. Yes, I'm the fly in the ointment of your state-run ed system that wants to teach kids to trust the government and to not question authority. I don't stand for the flag salute, and I don't require my kids to either. My students will be better off for it, even if they won't end up putting on your jack-boots. How ya like me now?
DE - yes I realized after the post what the GOP was pushing and felt stupid about it, but once you've posted, what can you do. My apologies for knee-jerking. It was a sham, I understood that about three minutes after I read the full article. I am pleased that some Dems are FINALLY starting to stand up - but will it be too little too late?
I doubt it.....If they get really involved on putting these criminals away and locking up Diebold and all the e-voting crooks, it won't matter if it SEEMED too late or not....
The democrats, or someone will eat them all for breakfast and the purge will begin of all the corrupt congress as well as a permanent military tribunal on the illegal Iraq war.
Wow! You're good, Soul Rebel ---
Governor Robert Taft II (of Ohio) is the grandson of conservative, former Senator Robert Taft.
And from Gov. Taft's website:
Governor Taft's father and grandfather both served in the United States Senate, and his great-grandfather, William Howard Taft, served as the 27th President of the United States and Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.
Here's a way to send your thanks and support to Col. Murtha:
Shame on Them: Tell Col. Murtha Not to Back Down
John Murtha spent 37 years in Marine Corps, earned the Bronze Star, two purple hearts, the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry, and the Navy Distinguished Service Medal. And for the last thirty years he’s been one of the most respected voices in Congress on military issues --- universally respected by Democrats, Republicans and military brass alike.
Now he's speaking out on Iraq --- and the Republican smear machine has questioned his wisdom, his courage, and even his patriotism. Shame on them. Every one of us --- right now --- needs to let Jack Murtha know that we respect his service, respect his leadership, and respect his right to speak the truth. This man has spent his life serving us. The very least each one of us can do is let him know that no matter what dishonorable smear campaign Republicans wage we will be there with him.
Send Congressman Murtha a note telling him that you will not be silent while he is attacked --- Governor Dean will deliver it personally with his own thanks:
