Just Three Media Outlets Listed
No Supporting Information Given for 'Crimes' Meriting McCarthyesque Listing by Fox 'News' Host

On November 14th, on his Fox "News" program The O'Reilly Factor, smear merchant and alleged sex offender Bill O'Reilly promised to "post the names" of those who were critical of his radio comment encouraging Al Qaeda to blow up San Francisco. Crooks And Liars has the video here.

O'Reilly had said, on his radio program, after the city voted against allowing military recruiters in public high schools and colleges there in the November 8th election:

"if Al Qaeda comes in here and blows you up, we're not going to do anything about it. We're going to say, look, every other place in America is off limits to you, except San Francisco. You want to blow up the Coit Tower? Go ahead."

Today, O'Reilly has finally posted his promised Enemies List on his website which he catagorizes as a list of "Media Operations that traffic in defamation." At this time, his list includes just three media outlets which he identifies as "the worst offenders". Though O'Reilly gives no specific details on why the outlets made his list, all three had been critical of O'Reilly in the past and reported on misinformation he had given to his television viewers and listeners of his radio show.

Here is the complete text from his promised McCarthy-esque list.

A Message from Bill: Media Operations that Traffic in Defamation

The following media operations have regularly helped distribute defamation and false information supplied by far left websites:

- New York Daily News

- The St. Petersburg Times

- MSNBC

These are the worst offenders. In the months to come, we expect to add more names to this list. We recommend that you do not patronize these operations and that advertisers do the same. They are dishonest and not worth your time and money.

Arianna Huffington on her Huffington Post website has been requesting names of those who'd like to be on O'Reilly's list. She has promised to "hand deliver them" to O'Reilly.

The BRAD BLOG regrets not making O'Reilly's list, but promises readers that we will endeavor to continue our accurate reporting on well-paid media character assassins like O'Reilly in hopes of some day rating the honor of being on such a list.

UPDATE: Crooks and Liars has a clip from O'Reilly's radio show today, which begs the question: Has O'Reilly simply gone bonkers?

Dear Santa, I've been good all year. All I want for XMas is to make O'Reilly's Enemies List. Thanks, Santa.

The man has a lot of ego. Who does he think he is, Nixon? I mean, if you want to have an enemies list then you really need to piss off a LOT of people. O'Reilly is hardly known. Also, if you're going to have an enemies list you should at least have a long one. That shows you're really important. His is pathetic, just like him.

Making Nixon's enemies list was a badge of honor.

Making O'Reilly's... it's not even a badge of humor.

I personally emailed him and asked him if he would consider adding me to his prestigious list in addition to the ones that are already destroying our freedoms.

I closed the email out with "Happy Holidays." That must piss him off. If he replies, I will post the response to my site.

I hope he adds me, it would be great.

I think all bloggers will be listed eventually.

Are you telling me that the "6 or 7" that consistently point out his hatred, misguided ramblings, and just plain rank diatribes are not on his list?

For shame for shame ... he does not know where the fire is ... O'Really? is a legend in his own mind.

Haha...poor, old impotent O'Reilly.

After mentioning he was going to start his enemies list, people laughed and practically dared him to do it. So he had no choice but to do it or look like a windbag wuss.

But people with a brain know that by listing the sites of people who expose his lies, smears, and falsehoods he is giving them the chance to further their audience. So he has no choice but to put up an embarassing, weak list like this and then offer no explanation or proof to back his claims. this way his zombie listeners don't have to do any critical thinking. They can just say that O'Reilly said they are bad so I will say it too.

Arianna Huffington has pledged to hand deliver a list of everyone who asks to be included on the enemies list to O'Reilly personally. It's easy to sign up; if a technophobe like me can do it, anyone can. Just go to Huffingtonpost.com and register.

"smear merchant and alleged sex offender"?

I hope this was intended to be ironic - until he's convicted couldn't we try to avoid smearing the smearer? I'd feel dirty stooping to his level.

You can tell guys who are struggling to smile. O'Reilly probably had to take a nap after smiling for this picture.

WOW! He looks like he's struggling to smile! HOLY SHIT! Is that picture doctored up?

It looks like one of those "evil" smiles...if there was audio on this picture, it would be the evil laugh, "MOO HOO HAHAHAHAHAHAHA".....

That isn't a smile. That's a Bushesque smirk. The subtext is, "There goes another pathetic liberal."

The best way to deal with O'Reilly is to expose his lies (also the best way to deal with Bush). Not with name-calling with facts. O'Reilly once wrote that he grew up in Levittown on Long Island, a middle-class community. In fact, he grew up in Westbury, a wealthy enclave. When caught (by Michael Moore) in the lie, his answer was "I lived in the Levittown section of Westbury."

There's no such thing as a Levittown section of Westbury, any more than there's a Hempstead section of Garden City or a Hicksville section of Syosset. O'Reilly was clearly trying to portray himself as a regular Joe from middle-class roots, when he was really a child of privilege. In this sense O'Reilly was trying to copy Bush, a spoiled brat from Greenwich who became a Texas cowboy.

VotersUnite.org's Daily Voting News 'Daily Voting News'
For October 15, 2008

by John Gideon

20 days until Election Day.

“Experts” are all speaking out and warning of voting meltdowns across the country. Where were these “experts” six months ago? Where have they been since the last national election? Why have they not spoken out against these same voting systems that they are concerned about now? Of course it wasn’t political for them to take a position against the use of these machines until now.

1-866-OUR-VOTE; 1-866-MY-VOTE1 and now YouTube and WiredNews all want voters to report when they have problems voting. And what will happen with the data collected by these groups? Will any of it be compiled and released after the election? Probably not a lot of it is my guess....
