The John Roberts gambit (distraction) seems to be really paying off for the Bushies. At least in the White House Press Room for the moment where most of the questioning today was on Bush’s Supreme Court nominee (WH Reporters seem easily distracted…LOOK! SHINY FIRETRUCK!)
There was just one very short exchange today re: The Unprecedented Outting of a Covert CIA Agent by the the most Senior of White House Officials. But it was an interesting one…
MR. McCLELLAN: Again, you keep asking these questions that are related to an ongoing investigation —
Q Does he still have his security clearance?
MR. McCLELLAN: — and those are questions that have already been addressed.
Q No, they — I’ve never heard this before. Have you?
MR. McCLELLAN: The question has been asked before.
Q We haven’t heard an answer.
Q What was your answer?
Q There hasn’t been an answer.
Fistfull of BRAD BLOG Bumperstickers to anybody who can find the question asked and/or answered before.

I don’t think this is *the* question you mean, but…
Q Why does Karl Rove still have security clearance and access to classified documents when he has been revealed as a leaker of a secret agent, according to Time magazine’s correspondent?
Still that was HILARIOUS…lol, for a second it was "who’s on first, what’s on second" lol…classic!
Brad, I believe your bumper stickers are safe! 🙂
BW # 3,
You seem to be correct. Much as I would like a fistful of Brad Stickers, all of my google searches haven’t turned up any MSCM evidence that *anyone* has asked before "Has Rove Offered to Resign?"
Oh, wait, I need to check the BB archives. Surely *someone* has asked this before on the BB.
Still trying,
VG
Slightly OT
From VG’s link, further proof of Scottie’s crippling speech impediment.
MR. McCLELLAN: Well, we continue to convey our concerns to the government of Syria. Syria has been out of step with the rest of the Middle East. The Middle East has been moving more and more in the direction of freedom and democracy, and we continue to support efforts to advance the spread of freedom in that region. That has been a dangerous region of the world. It has been a region that has exported terrorism. It is a region where the people who hijacked the planes and flew them into buildings here in the United States and took some 3,000 innocent lives — it’s the region where they came from. And that’s why it’s so important that we no longer appease or ignore what has been occurring there.
Scottie can’t seem to say the words, S-A-U-D-I A-R-A-B-I-A

Thank you for highlighting that bit of the interview, which I didn’t take in before. Indeed, Scottie can’t seem to say *it*. Was it one of these guys who held hands with Bush at the Texas ranch? I seem to remember… I think Brad even posted a pix. Sorry, no time to find it now….
Nixon was a pretty focused megalomaniac. But Bu$hco has so many evil deeds going that it is a challenge to keep track of them, much less to respond!!!
Luvly question, Brad! You’ll never have to hand out those stickers, though…
Bushw@cker #5 –
SA indeed…
It isn’t even known, yet, how many white house operatives conspired to out the CIA agent.
But new outings are coming to the surface now. It was a conspiracy of at least 4 WH officials who did the outing (link here).
Libby, Rove, Bolton, and one other are under investigation now.
If Scottie had ever looked at an atlas in his life, he’d know that "that region over there" covers about a third of Asia, the world’s largest continent.
See the subtle racism here? Syrians are swarthy looking. So are Iraqis, Pakistanis, Afghans, Palestinians and Iranians. They all come from "that region over there," thus they’re all part of "exporting" terrorism.
How does one "export" a terrorist? Most of al Qaeda are Saudis, who are no more Syrian or Iraqi than Americans are Canadian, or Australians are New Zealanders. It’s the dark skin tone, folks…
that’s bad, just as it was bad for Americans of Japanese ancestry to be living in California in 1942.
Why should Rove resign? There is an investigation going on and the outcome has not been determined yet. I can’t wait until you guys are proven wrong once again.
