This is not a joke. Two Republican U.S. senators who disgraced themselves with extramarital affairs have signed on as sponsors of the Federal Marriage Amendment, which would prohibit same sex marriage anywhere in the United States.
The senators are David Vitter of Louisiana, who admitted he consorted with prostitutes over a long period of time, and Larry Craig of Idaho, who pleaded guilty to a charge of soliciting sex in a men’s room.
The amendment states, “Marriage in the United States shall consist only of the union of a man and a woman. Neither this Constitution, nor the constitution of any State, shall be construed to require that marriage or the legal incidents thereof be conferred upon any union other than the union of a man and a woman.”
Both Vitter and Craig were 2007 nominees to Pensito Review’s GOP Adulterers Hall of Fame.

Further evidence that there is a double standard for Dems and Republicans, is it because most Republicans believe there are standards of proper behavior and Democrats are known to have none?
We don’t see blogs decrying the “Notorious” Democratic adulterers in Congress and in the White House. Among Democrats, Presidents Kennedy and Clinton (acknowledged adulterers), are more
likely to be regarded as “studs.” And “alternate lifestyle” is the “politically correct” term, I believe, for the coterie of Democratic congressmen who are practicing homosexuals.
You will note that there can be no ‘Democrat Adulterers Hall of Fame’ because adultery appears to be required of Democratic politicians, or at least an option on the road to success.
It’s not about adultery, it’s about hypocrisy.

We don’t need to do a thing about this, they are self-destructive enough.
And btw, same sex marriage is here to stay…as long as Vitter and Craig are on the job!
